Lollipop + Face Unlock.........You're doing it wrong?!?!

So on 4.4.4 when I used face unlock I would get a circle to see my face and it would unlock the phone, if it was to dark for my face then the PIN pad would appear.
Now on 5.0.1 I get the PIN pad first with no area to see my face. I can hit the back nav button on the PIN screen and get to the unlock screen and if it had seen my face it unlocks, other wise its back to the PIN screen. Seems overly annoying compared to the way 4.4.4 ran facial unlock.
Am I doing something wrong??????
In lolipop it will try to see your face without anything appearing on the screen .. then if it successfully find your face, your device will be unlocked automatically
U can see face icon in the lock screen and if it successfully unlocked, u can pull the lock to unlock the device without entering the password
Correct but on 4.4.4 it required no screen interaction to unlock with my face. On 5.0.1 I still have to back out of the PIN screen and swipe up to unlock.
Homonyms... "your" doing in wrong.

Lockscreen Bug

Can anyone confirm whether this happens to them. I have fingerprint lock with either a pin or pattern as backup.
If on the lockscreen I swipe the screen rather than use the fingerprint lock the pin/pattern screen comes up with the blurb "Use Fingerprint or draw unlock pattern" However when i then put my finger on the scanner it doesn't register, its as if i haven't put my finger on the button. The only way I can access is via inputting pattern/pin. Once i have done this i can repeat by locking the screen and swiping and the reader registers.
However if i leave the phone for 10-15 minutes it then goes back to not registering the fingerprint on the pin/pattern screen again?
Anyone else getting this?
Getting the exact same issue on the Galaxy S7Edge with Australian firmware, and it completely ruins the usefulness of the fingerprint unlock method.
It's definitely a bug in the software - a few people have already experienced the exact same issue we have encountered over at:

Hopefully Samsung are at least aware of the issue and can patch it..
I had something called lock screen launcher or something like that I did uninstall it and it was normal again

Unlock screen behavior with fingerprint

Phone is on latest 6.01. I setup fingerprint to unlock and a backup password as required. Sometimes, it will ask for password instead of fingerprint to unlock. Another issue is sometimes it asks you to swipe up before you enter the password.
Usually right after I turn the screen on, I'm able to enter the password or fingerprint unlock on previous versions. Is this a bug or can this behavior be disabled? I just want to unlock with fingerprint in one step, makes no sense to have to swipe first then enter a password.

Fingerprint reader unlock with no fingerprint set up?

So I like that the fingerprint reader can be used to turn on and unlock the phone but it only works if you have a fingerprint and pin/password set up. I have my phone set to swipe to unlock, which makes the fingerprint reader useless. Is there a way to get it to turn on and unlock the phone but not actually have a pin and fingerprint set up? (So anybody's finger would turn on and unlock the phone, basically turning the reader into a button)

Click to collapse
The answer is no because that would defeat the purpose of its intended use. I guess I can see where you're coming from. However, no phone maker will ever accommodate that, especially when Apple is touting the security of its iPhone in the case vs the FBI. In fact, fingerprints aren't very secured. That's why every phone forces you to link fingerprints with PIN codes.

Lock screen security issue

Hi all,
somebody can me explain why can I wake up sometimes the phone at lock screen without any adjusted security mode?
I mean sometimes if I push the ON button and comes up the lock screen, then I scroll up the screen, the phone is suddenly logged in, I see the home screen. Although I removed before the face unlock mode, or adjusted the pattern mode and the fingerprint mode. Example sometimes if the face unlock mode is on, and my friend get my phone, he can go to the home screen also without any security control, just with the swipe up at lock screen.
I tried to remove the face unlock mode, and turn on just the PIN instead of pattern, but it's no matter.
But sometimes the security identifications comes up (pattern or PIN).
Why does this work so?
Solved.
Can be delete the thread.
The problem was in the smart lock?
