[Completed] [Q] Nexus 4 bootloop (after root)?

Hi, I am COMPLETELY new at rooting, so please bear with me. I just rooted my nexus 4 a week back and got paranoid. Today, I installed a mod to change the recent apps format to android l. However, when i installed it using CWM, it successfully installed, but then got stuck in a bootloop. The phone wont connect to my computer by USB at all (USB debugging is on), so i cant delete the file that caused it from my computer. In CWM, i wiped all data/factory restored it, wiped all the cache (normal and dalvik), and it still wont boot up. Can someone please help- i need the easiest way possible, since im completely new, as I said. Not restoring to stock os would be preferable. Thanks.

[Completed] HTC One M8 - Bootloop / TWRP unable to mount '/data'

So here's a short story.
Ordered Unlocked HTC M8 from China. It arrived and worked but was missing the update option and was stuck on 4.4.4.
Found out the MID was Verizon's 20000
Got Verizon image which worked, which locked the phones SIM card and branded everything Verizon.
I wanted to get the Developer version, so I changed my phones MID to 12000 and tried a few images. None worked, but now the phone is boot looped and nothing works.
Tried to load the Verizon image back on, but now I cannot because MID is wrong. Can't change the MID because I only have access to fastboot and I need ADB.
Tried using TWRP to flash other images, but every ROM requires a format. The format fails TWRP unable to mount '/data'
The most promising one so far was SkyDragon's, but got "set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed" error on the Aroma installation.
I have literally spent the last week and a half stressing out and trying to get this phone working. I've never flashed a phone before and it's been a complete ****.
If I can at least get the MID back to 20000 I can flash the Verizon image back on it and send it back to the seller.
I've tried googling the issue, but every single tutorial I've found is full of dead links or incompatible ROMs.
Phone is HTC M8. Phone is Unlocked. Fastboot works and I have TWRP recovery installed.
I am at my wits end. Please help.
Tried Format option under TWRP.
Phone plugged into my PC at the time and tried to mount every possible drive letter.
Phone now appears to be off and isn't responding at all.
Plugging it back in just causes it to try and mount every letter again.
How screwed am I?

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
A factory reset would wipe the phone (except system related info), making the encryption null and void (only affects userdata). Odd that it has no effect.
At any rate, I am connecting this thread to the forum where your device experts can be found:

[Completed] on screen keyboard has failed and there is a password on the phone

hey everyone,
I have a Casio G'zone Commando 4g lte phone from Verizon using a stock rom and it was pushed an update from Verizon. when this happened the on screen keyboard is no longer coming up at the password screen to enter the password. I don't want to do a factory reset because there are photos I do not want to lose on it. usb debugging is not enabled so I cannot use adb that I know of and the only recovery buttons I have found for this phone will wipe it. I also tried an on the go adapter with a usb keyboard but that didn't work either. any help or ideas would be appreciated.
thank you

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
There are a couple different levels of factory reset. One that is intentionally invoked (eg. via recovery) seems to delete app data (including settings) only, as in leaves media files intact. I ran into this when I reset my old Infuse. All the old pictures were still there.
Another level is invoked by entering the wrong password too many times or when your device is lost, for example. That factory reset formats the userdata partition.
I don't think there is any other option but to factory reset at this point; the only choice is the type of factory reset to go with. If you can get into recovery mode, you should be able to do the former.
But before coming to that, I would get one last opinion on the matter before wiping away:

[Completed] LG Stylo 2 Plus Bootloop

Model: LGMS5500, Lg Stylo 2 Plus (MetroPCS)
Here's my issue.
I recently rooted/installed TWRP for this phone, all was working well until one day the system started running extremely slow>
Pulling down the notification bar took about five seconds; it took about the same amount of time to turn the screen on/off.
I searched everywhere for fixes and tried every one to no avail, so I figured I'd do a factory reset.
After trying the factory reset from the settings app; all the phone did was reboot.
So I went into TWRP and reset/cleared data from there.
Now when the phone starts, it brings me to a screen saying "Encryption unsuccessful" and only gives me the option to reset my phone.
When I press this button, it just reboots to the same screen>
I can't get into TWRP because before all of this happened, I disabled USB debugging so I can't use my PC to get into recovery. There's also no way to boot to recovery with just the hardware buttons; the only way to get to TWRP with this phone is either from apps on the phone itself or using ADB.
Am I S.O.L here? Am I going to need to buy a new phone?
