Unlock bootloader and try to install another RUU - HTC One A9

I will unlock my bootloader on HTCDev, then try to flash the USA unloack RUU will this work?

What phone do you have? And is it USA or Global? If you have Global than don't flash USA version RUU. Your phone will be brick.

[Q] Unlocked, S-ON want to restore to stock ROM but can't use RUU

My Desire S was unlocked but still S-ON.
I want to change back to stock ROM and stock recovery.
I've try
- RUU_Saga_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.48.707.1_Radio_20.28I.30.085AU_3805.06.02.03_M_release_199476_signed

but it doesn't work.
What method should I use to restore my phone without rooting (hboot 2.00.002).
Thank you.
P.S. Sorry for poor English.
You need to relock your bootloader before installing RUU.
Code:
fastboot oem lock

It's working but still got an error [140] bootloader version error (different from the first error before relocked).
I bought in Thailand so I think I should use this one
RUU_Saga_HTC_Thailand_1.35.1113.2_Radio_20.28d.30.0805U_3805.04.02.01_M_release_183327_signed
It has only one version of Thailand's RUU.
What should I do now?

[Q] S-Off | Relock | OTA - How to do this things?

Hey,
I decided to make S-Off with the JuopunutBear methode but I have some problmes.
1. I unlocked my HTC Sensation by HTCDev and flashed the Inspiration rom. If I want to use the JuopunutBear methode I have to flash the Stock RUU (1.50.401.1), isn't it?
2. When I want to flash the Stock RUU I have to relock / lock my bootloader again and what I'm doing after relocking? I know how to relock but I want to unlock my Bootloader after the process again, is this possible?
I think that was all Sorry for the issues in the text.

I have European version 1.56 , how can I install this?
Sent from my HTC One A9 using XDA-Developers mobile app
If you want to install this update you need to S-OFF your phone and change CID and MID using fastboot command from download mode:
fastboot oem writecid 11111111
fastboot oem writemid 2PQ912000
Then you will be able to flash US firmware.
Anybody have a valid TRWP system image for 1.57.617.32?
I took one but it still failed the verity check.

Oh well, I flashed the .32 RUU and restored data from TWRP/FlashFire, flash this update, and I think I'm done.

Did you use FlashFire to only restore data? Just curious.

This OTA will not flash if you're superCID. You must use the US unlocked or developer CID specifically to flash this OTA (BS_001 or BS_002).
The RUU will flash if you are superCID, but 1.57.617.41 RUU hasn't been officially (or unofficially that I'm aware of) released yet.

I used FlashFire generated backup in TWRP to restore data.
Of course internal-storage was still wiped, but I manually back that up these days (with SyncMe app), and don't put anything there, if possible.

Will it really work? My phone will work properly? How to get S-OFF? Will S-On be back after I flash? Do I need to root?
It worked for me.
To get S-Off I used SunShine S-Off. You can disabled S-Off by running command `fastboot oem writesecureflag 3`. You need root to run SunShine.
After getting S-Off be careful not to mess HBOOT otherwise your phone will be hard-bricked and non-recovereable at home (you would need a programmer (device)).

Yes, you should. You will need to relock the bootloader and s-on to make OTA work as far as I remember.
Convert UHL to UL
Hi, I have an European Unlocked A9, stock firmware 1.56.401.70. Also, I am S-off, SuperCid, and my device has 2GB of RAM. Can I use US Unlocked RUU to convert my HTC? I want to use 1.57.617.52 software. Is it ok to convert? The US unlocked version has 3GB RAM... Thanks !

RUU doesn't regain s-on and it doesn't relock bootloader. To relock bootloader you should be running a command in fastboot that's similar to
Code:
fastboot oem relock

To ruu you need to relock bootloader only if you are s-on, if you're s-off you don't need to worry about that.
Ruu also might not set it to official, because you would have a modified boot.img, though correct me if I'm wrong.

change CID?

are we able to change the cid yet so we can flash the unlocked RUU? or do we need to be s-off?

You indeed need to be S-Off to change CID. Currently, SunShine doesn't support U11.
Yeah we are all waiting for S-OFF so we can start messing with things like this... hopefully not too long now!
Yes, urgent for me to unbrand my SFR ROM ...
Done thanks to Sunshine S-Off.... Perfect!

I think if I follow your thread indicate: I will change my France Orange Branded CID: ORANG219
For install a Stock Rom: I've read than it must change CID to Europe/France at: HTC__034 ???
