Odd Google Play Store Crash...it WORKS, but... - General Questions and Answers

On my rooted LG Leon w Android 5.1.1 with the latest T-Mobile firmware installed via KDZ before the last root, I'm running into an unusual problem with the Play Store. It OPENS, DOWNLOADS, INSTALLS APPS, let me READ REVIEWS. It ONLY when I tap the "Read More" link on the first page of an app description that the Play Store CRASHES w/o any error message. I UNINSTALLED the Play Store UPDATES, and that cured it, but of course had to UPDATE Play Store to run Maps, etc. And then, again, it crashes when I tap the "Read More" link. Any thoughts? Yeah, I MIGHT have disabled some obscure system component, but don't THINK so.

Hi
When I log into the Web version of the Google Play store, I see some applications that says they are installed on my phone, but in reality, they are not installed on my Samsung Galaxy S3.
Last year, my phone was out of service for 2-3 months (I had a spare cell), and I think this is the cause. When my phone crashed, I believe I had those applications listed in Play Store (web) installed at the time. After I finally came around at installing the stock ROM (Bell Canada), then these applications showed up.
Is there a way to re sync what I have installed on my phone (Google Play store android app) and the Web version of Google Play store?
Thank you for your help

I would suggest opening the play store app. Click the menu, and select my apps. Then select all. From there, by clicking the "x" next to uninstalled apps, you will remove any apps you are not using.

[Completed] LG Escape 2 - Factory Reset Done - Google Play Store Crashes (won't update)

So I have a lousy loaner LG Escape 2 to use for a 3-4 days while waiting on parts to repair my Nexus 6P. The LG Escape 2 has just been factory reset. When trying to use Google Play Store the Play Store crashes after a few seconds. If (in the GPS App) I go to Settings, and tap on Build Version (5.3.6) it briefly tells me that there is an update available, but it crashes before it can download, much less install, the updated. This phone is running Android 5.1.1. As near as I can tell, there is no stock factory ROM image that I can download and install (e.g. by ADB method). All I can do is a factory reset, which I have done. I've also tried going into Settings \ Apps and clearing data and cache on Google Play Services and the Google Play Store app. Finally, my Download Manager *is* running (some web pages suggest that the Google Play Store crash is caused by Download Manager not running. Oh... and I've rebooted this thing to heck and back.
I really don't want to buy a phone just for a few days, but I can't do my job with this LG Escrap 2.
Any suggestions on how I can update Google Play Store app without sideloading an APK from a third party site? I just don't trust sites that offer APKs from others. If Google itself would let me download the APK (with a checksum), I'd sideload it.

Google Play Store "error Rh-01"

My pet project for reading week was to root my phone for the first time, and I've now been stumbling over errors for around 5 days straight. This is the first time I've hit a wall that I don't think I can just mash random buttons in hoping of getting the order right. Please walk me through this fix like I'm 7 yrs old so I know how to fix things in the future But I need to fix fast as my phone is essential to my work flow, and being able to use the Play Store would be nice.
DEVICE: My phone is a Nexus 5x now running PureNexus.
HISTORY: So to start I unlocked my bootloader, flashed TWRP and have a back up of my Stock ROM as well as a back up of when I finally got PureNexus working if all things go sour. However I'd really love to not reset. When I finally got it working (after like 3 days), I was getting the Error: 497 from the Google Play Store. After fumbling around xda and my settings, I cleared the Data and Cache of Google Play Store and Google Play services apps. Nada. So I show the system apps and cleared the data of the following apps: Google Play services, Google Play Store, Media Storage, Google Services Framework, Download Manager. I then force stopped and disabled Google Play Store. Then I reboot my phone and Uninstalled all the updates on Google Play Store.
(In hindsight, this was all probably WAY overkill ^^^)
Edit: I then successfully re-updated to the newest version via apk. I also tried flashing a copy of Dynamic GApps in hopes that it would fix it.
THE ERROR: Now when I open Google Play Store I get "Error while retrieving information from server. [RH-01]" and it kicks me to the sidepanel, which displays my email but not my Google account. It is now Version: 7.5.08.M-all [0] [PR] 146162341
Any ideas? As far as I can tell, the Error 497 should be fixed because I've totally obliterated all data that could be associated with the app. However, I have no idea how to reinstall Google Play Store because it's the app I use to install things. Thanks for helping! And if I need to re-tag the title of this thread, PLEASE let me know so I can do that.
Hi !
Remove your google account from settings/accounts , reboot your device , add it back , this may be related to a buggy gapps pack you have used , try open gapps micro
Good luck !

Help, Huawei Nova 2s. Google play services and apps

If you have a Huawei Nova 2s and you havent tried one of the steps i did then give it a go! Let me know how your situation is and if you hav done anything i havent
I got the Huawei Nova 2s in China Last December, not realising it would be China Exclusive at the time. As soon as i left China, I searched it up immedietly but couldnt find anything on this model so i just followed other articles and threads and stuff. I ended up installing the following:
Google play store, Google play services, Google play services for instant apps, Google Accounts manager, Google Services Franeworks (and a GMS with a GMS installer before all those idk if that made any difference other than adding a Google tab in settings but that had nothing important).
After doing so i could FINALLY open google play store..
BUT
it was stuck on a checking info loop T^T
then i decided to go on google and just search to the latest versions of the things i downloaded. apparrently all the websites i used provided doenloads that werent the latest version so i deleted all of them and installed the updated apks.
after doing so i got something i thought i would nev get....
A notification from google play services telling me to update it in the play store. So i clicked on it and waited on play store...
And then...
It happened...
IT WORKED
I COULDNT BELEIVE IT
i downloaded all the apps that u would need ( youtube i downloaded from an apk ;P but i updated it on the play store and i logged in on youtube which logged me in on play store)
*BUT*
After a week or so it stopped working again.
I went on youtube an it wouldnt load.
I went on the play store and it wouldnt load
I went on google chrome an it wouldnt load
I was so sad and i did the stupid thing of deleting everything and reinstalling it
now every 2-4 seconds i get a notification from play services
and you might be thinking "But i thought u said that was good!"
It was when it worked.
I clicked on it the first time after reinstalling and google play store wouldnt load so I just gave up.
but like i said i recieve notifications every 2-4 seconds. It was really annoying and eventually i just blocked it from sending notifications.
I think the problem with why it didn't work again was because if you go to:
Settings then "User & Accounts"
I have a tab that says "Google"
and when i click on it it has the accounts i logged in on.
The reason why I think this is a problem is because it is already logged in and the app wants me to log in.
I have tried to remove the accounts but it didn't work for some reason.
(BTW i installed all the different things after reading MANY posts and articles and stuff, Google accounts manager being the last one i installed i think.)
Also keep in mind that this was all in the period of January and February.
Eventually i just gave up.

Apps not having access to storage? (Title most likely not exact)

I am not sure if the title is correct for the problem that I have.
Phone not rooted
I got the S8+ earlier this month, used smart switch to transfer my apps and data.
and today I wanted to check my twitter, and I use the flamingo app which is paid.
the app wouldn't open and gave me a message saying something in the line of 'this app is modified, contact developer if this is false'.
Well since it is a paid app and i installed it though smart switch, the app definitely had a security check thing probably tripped.
So I went on the play store and uninstalled it via play store.
Problems starts occurring
Play store says uninstalling, I went to my home launcher seeing the app already uninstalled, went back to the play store and it still says uninstalling. and goes on for a while without changing.
So i restarted my phone, and tried to install it again, only this time when i click install, it says installing for a bit, then play store crashes.
I open it again and go to the app page and it says downloading without a change in the progress bar.
other problems i encounter
gallery wont load any photos/ albums , just says no items.
Whatsapp , when i try to view story that is picture or video it just closes the app, and when i open it again and wait for a bit it will close by it self. every time i open it wait for a bit then it closes.
twitter, when trying to download pictures the app closes, and the closing only happens when trying to download pictures.
these closing of apps don't have the 'app crashed' pop up it just closes.
what i tried to do to fix it, and none worked
Restarted a couple of times.
Cleared cache and data for play store , play services.
removing all my google accounts , and signed in again.
clearing cache/data for media provider
other notes that might be useful
so i tried to install the flamingo app again (via apk) , and it took a while to install 5-6 minutes, tried to up date it and play store closes, opened play store again it just says downloading pending and after a bit just closes.
just opening the play store and waiting for a bit closes the app.
instagram doesn't seem to be affected.
i am downloading the stock rom to flash to my phone but the download is slow only 50KB/s and the rom is 3GB which will take like half a day to complete..
please any help would be great.
thank you in advance , and sorry for my mistakes in writing this form.
Why don't you try factory reset? (prior to flashing)
