[Completed] Custom ROMS On Not Name-brand Devices - XDA Assist

Where I live, schools are finally using e-books. I have managed to get a tablet from them, and was wondering about custom roms. It seems to be running AOSP KitKat, and if it is, would I just flash a AOSP Lollipop or Marshmallow rom, or have to develop one specifically for this devices specs? I have attached screenshots of system specs from the app CPU-Z.

[Completed] [Q] Is it possiblt install android 5.0 via custom Rom on the LG Optimus One P500

Surprisingly a working version of Android Kitkat was installed via custom ROM on the LG Optimus One P500, so is there any possibility that the the smartphone would be able to get a taste of the new version of android

It is but it's an very complicated process for that you should know what are you doing taking rom of nexus 5 and flashing just as example

That is absolutely correct. However I was thinking whether this would be feasible or not. Just like KitKat is it possible to port lollipop to devices with less grunt specially considering the fact that lollipop comes with a different run-time altogether.

It's not kitkat
the whole API is diffrent and the runtime too but it sets diffrent metadata's and permissions which create status 7 error which are not feasible

Roms

His two quick questions ,one is it possible too flash stock android on s6 and then does anyone have a link too roms I can play with still very new so bear with me and have done a couple things but trying get recourses.
Sent from my SM-G925F using XDA Forums
no stock android roms available yet and i doubt there ever will be due to the custom samsung processor. if you want some touchwiz roms check out the android development subforum.
You can try Google Launcher for the "stock android feel."

[Q] Vanilla Galaxy S6

Sorry if i'm posting in the wrong place, but i just have to ask something. When Android M will be out, because it has fingerprint support too, will some developers be able to built a stable stock android rom for the GS6? Or is it just a dream?
Thanks!
Because Android M has native support for fingerprint you expect somebody to build stock android rom for the S6? The two things don't correlate AT ALL. And yes, there will be some AOSP roms for sure, based on Android M.

[Completed] After root & flashing tab 2 is not not working properly (Android 5.1 Lollipop CM12.1)

After root & flashing tab 2 is not not working properly (Android 5.1 Lollipop CM12.1)
I never flashed and rooted and android before so today I tried on my tab 2 gt-p3100 and results are not good. After flashing the custom rom my internet is not working properly. Specially 3g is not working and 2g is now slow also restricting me to use some websites and play store too. I never expected such results from It. Please advise me what should I do now. Can I go back to the official Samsung's status how it was when I purchased (unrooted and 4.1.1.) .
Also if 5.1 is not compatible to my device, than what should be the best custom rom for it?
I installed Android 5.1 Lollipop CM12.1 custom ROM

[Completed] [REQUEST] HUAWEI S7-931u need Android 4.4 ROM

I need an Android 4.4 ROM for the tablet.
I have rooted the device with Kingo ROOT.
One of the main reasons why I'm doing this update is because I want this app to be working (HERE WeGo).
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.here.app.maps&hl=hr
I've seen the thread with the 4.4 ROM, but it's said that it's for the S7-30xx, but mine is S7-931u so I think that it's not compatible. The app requires Android 4.1+. I would prefer 4.4, but if you don't have 4.4, 4.1 is fine too.

Thanks.

Greetings and welcome to assist. Unfortunately we don't do rom requests and can't make one for a device we don't own. I have looked and there is no rom for your device on xda, if someone uploads one it will probably be here
