Just found out that the pictures have a purple tint on it. Mostly visible on black.
Can someone test their camera if it has the same issue. Maybe I have faulty device.
Has this always been there or has it recently started?
Edit: what I mean is that has the purple tint recently appeared, or was the first picture you ever took had this purple tint.
I checked some photo's taken when I just bought the phone and the tint is there.

Tried several camera apps already, still the same.
It's not always that purple like my photo in the opening post, but there is always some white, light pink tint in the center of the pictures. And only visible on dark subjects.

No, but I will. I just have been on these forums for forever. And I know my cells...lol.
I hope someone else can also do a camera test. Otherwise I have to go through the hassle of buying another device to do a test myself. Really liking this device, so I want to keep it.

Nope, mine seems ok.
Does it feels hot around the camera? The HTC M7 had purple tint sometimes after a long use.
I think you should contact Honor

It does feel hot. But I don't think that's it, because it is like this from cold start.

We're terribly sorry to hear that your pictures are having a purple tint. We advise that you shut off your device for 15-20 seconds. This should refresh your phone and your camera app. If that doesn't work, we advise giving our Honor Support Team a call at 1-844-524-6667 for further troubleshooting steps. (ED)
It's a hardware issue, return it and claim a replacement
I will see what I can do.
So is it a hw issue or software?!

Hope it's a software issue....if not, more than likely there will be other bugs. I would definitely bring it back and have them exchange it. There never should be purple tints on pics on a new device.

Normally, it should be a software issue, but if it persists even with a factory reset, then I'll consider bringing it back

Epic post..HAHAHAHAHHAHA
Anyone getting strange vertical blurred lines when recording snapchat video? It only occurs in low light settings. When I record video from my camera app these lines do not appear. It is pretty annoying.
Did you figure out a fix by any chance? Mine does the same thing on the same phone.
Also having the same issue.
Big blur line from top to bottom, in the middle of the screen.
Also visible in the recorded video :/
** just installed the latest snapchat there, 4.1.05 and no longer have this issue
** spoke too soon, still having this issue !
Same here :/ any fix?

i just flashd the Stock Google Play Edition ROM that was posted in the Development forum to my Moto G.
And i no longer get vertical lines while recoding
So i'm guessing its maybe an issue with the Motorola Camera and Snapchat,
seeing as the GPE Moto G uses the google/android Camera.
FIX!!!!
For anyone still having this problem, opt for beta testing in the settings. One of the fixes in the beta version is for the Moto G's video. Working perfect for me now! :good:

Hi every one.
I bought Mate 8 3GB RAM (32GB) today.
Every thing looks fine but the camera disturbed me.
Photos that it takes are very bad (too blurry). but Photos from the close object are ok and it seems that the problrm is the focus and it can't do it well.:crying::crying::crying::crying:
What is the problem? Hardware OR Software?
Now it's updating to B162 (From B103) and i hope it fix but nothing mentioned about the camera.(Can this update fix it?).
Thnx a lot.
Yes. update should fix it.
But it didn't.
Nothing special happened on B162.
I tried Google camera app and I had the same problem.
Is that Hardware Problem??
:crying:
Can Any One tell me it's a SOFTWARE problem or HARDWARE ???
It's bothering me.
thnx a lot.

IMHO these results are not normal at all, there's more than a software problem, like something over the lens...

Yep. This is pretty clearly something that software cannot fix. Hardware problem and I would say it is related to autofocus. Take it to service.
I'm pretty sure it's a hardware issue. I suggest you take it to the service center for repair or replacement.

I strongly suggest you get an exchange for that. They'll do it no questions asked. You're chances are very very good that the next one will not have that issue at all.

It's the T-Mobile software has to be. I'm using global op9 unlocked and love the hassleblad cam. And on latest 1.2.5.5
There's no optical image stabilization on this phone like everything else on the market.
Photos have been great for me. Sounds like a hardware issue. Yeah, no OIS, but unless you're shaking a lot, it should not be blurry.
