Hello guys,
I was trying to put XBSA's ICS on my O3D, but it gave me an DOWNLOAD FAIL and since that time I cant do anything with my phone.
The only thing working right now is:
-OMAP4BOOT: if I follow this, I'm getting the LG Logo (so it's not completely dead right?)
I've tried almost anything by now, and I just need some experienced brain to take a look at this thing.
If I connect the O3D to the PC, I'm getting a flashing device manager with "OMAP4430 USB Device" flashing on and off.
I don't get the COM ports so I cant adjust any setting for that as wel.
I tried installing the drivers etc on 2 windows 7 laptops (x64 and x32) and also one XP laptop, and I can almost cry for what I have left now .
If someone knows if this phone is repairable I happily pay some money for the work.
Does somebody also know that IF I return it to LG, how much money it's going to cost me?

At first, thank you for your very quick replly, but unfortunatly I did that already..
I get stuck on step 6 (from step 3) because the phone doesn't show up under a com port. It only does show up as a TI Boards --> OMAP4430 USB Device (the same at 7x32, 7x64 and xp)

Thanks to BadSoul we've managed to unbrick my phone and install his cool ICS ROM on my phone!

If the phone completely dead (can't be turned on) try this

Thanks for the reply but I already solved this. With alot of reading and googling I finally was able to flash ICS 4.0.4 to my phone with "SmartFlashTool". Don't really know exactly what I did but now it's working and I'm happy. :laugh:

How did u flash ICS with SmartFlash!? Please, try to remember what u did and if it`s not too much trouble, to explain the procedure here or PM me so that i can try that too! Thanx :good:

1-Download smartflasher and install it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1629307
2-Download omap driver and install it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1244490
3-Download LG Drivers and install them http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1244490
4-Remove battery , SD Card and SIM Card .
5-Now your phone in your hands without any thing
-hold vol+
-keep holding and then connect the phone with PC .
-Now you are holding vol+ and the phone is connected with PC ,,, insert the battery and keep holding for few seconds (1-3) .
--Now you should see some korean words on your phone screen . now you are in download mode
6- open the smartflasher and select "ROM Copy D/L" tap .
-select the *bin file in the AP feild .
7-Press start . wait until loading complete . now you are in ICS .
That is all .

Thanx for your effort but i thought U used some other way! I had Optimus 2x before this phone and smartflash was essential for everything! But, normally, i used both .bin and .fls for flashing software! Why not fls file with this phone!? What if i`m on GB and i want to flash ICS with smartflash? that is different partition and bootloader. That`s why i ask u how come u flash only bin!? And does it say P990 in top left corner on phone model in smartflash U used!?

When i connect to the system on window 7, it shows omap under unknown driver and withing 2secs disappears again. using one of the methods mentioned here, i was able to install the omap driver but each time i connect the phone, it connects and then disconnect instantly. When i tried it on window xp, i got the same error. I can boot into recovery. The phone is not switching ON atall for me to even consider goin to recovery. Sometimes when am on window xp and i press the recovery button with the battery in (vol- plus Power +3d button) it connects and then instantly disconnects again. Please help with a step by step process as am stumped. Am sure i should be able to get it up. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks a bunch for your reply, the sad thing is both explanation arent clear enough. Am sorry to bother you but can i get like an idiot guide as both links especially the one with ics isnt really clear enough and the downgrade isnt helping either. downloaded their files yetdont know hw or what to do with em. Please help
Preferrably i will like a guide with downgrading. The links sent has no step by step method,it naturally assumes that one will know what to do with what file. Waiting for ur response.

I have tried the method you explained step by step bt i got stuckedd on step 13
"Step 13. Run Steps 3-9 again and you will see your phone being flashed from LG FlashTool.
It will be stopped at 26-30% because phone will turn off on its own BUT the next time you try to enter NORMAL DOWNLOAD MODE it will be available again."
When i do what step 12 says, instead of my LG flash tool flashin my fone, the screeen just stay stuck on the download mode with the korean message on it. Dont know how to move ahead. Thanks for your reply, please help me move past this level. In addition, instead of LGE mobile USB serial port, what i have is LGE CDMA USB serial port.

Somebody pls help me, i am able to get into the download mode but cant get beyond that stage. I have tried LG flashtool several time to get it fixed bt LG Flashtool is discovering my phone. Even when i click start though its suppose to start automatically, it just doesnt do anything. Or could it be because under my device manager i have LGE CDMA USB serial port instead of LGE mobile USD serial port ? because its my LGE CDMA USB serial port that i turned its port to 41

you are absolutely right, that guide of how to flash ICS ported is not so clear enough for noob like us to fallow.

Okay,i will write a small guide
1-Download all the files in the downgrading package
2-Install LG FlashTool
3-Go on the FlashTool directory and change the standard icon with the modified one in the folder
4-Now install all the drivers in the package,if the install fail,uninstall all the lg drivers and do the procedure again
5-Now keep pressing volume UP and connect your phone to the computer
6-On the computer press start and search device manager
7-Open it and search COM Ports and change the LGE etc.. Port to COM41
8-Now you are done to do the procedure,so open LG FlashTool as administrator
9-Will appear a window with the files to put in,select BOOT21E.CP and BOOT21.AP,and select USB Mode
10-Now press ok and connect the phone to your pc pressing Volume UP
11-Go on the icon of ports(looks like a usb port) and select only port 1
12-Now press Start(the yellow arrow)
13-Now disconnect your phone and connect it,without pressing any button
14-The downgrade procedure will start automatically,so keep calm and...Enjoy!

Thanks a bunch, i have finally gotten a lil hang of it. The problem now is each time i flash with LG flash tool, once it gets to 82%, the part where the flashtool reads target resetting , my fone disconnects and the LG flashtool brings out this error error_wm_progress_msg and some others. I have tried this 3times now and the error remains the same. When i power the phone, it goes in to clockwod mode and when i try to mount usb, it doesnt do. Even when i try to restore the backup i have, it says md5 error. Waiting for your reply

That s mean your phone is successfully done flashing , with me it never come to 100% it always on 82% its finish, just reboot your phone and wait for it to start on , and you are good to go, now go to recovery and format, or wipe cache and data and reboot at first time it says that you don't have enough memory left just go to privacy and reset the phone and format everything . and i think everything will be good after that. good luck.

Was just bout to tell u its now working. Thanks a million. U saved me buying another phone. By the way i want to flash the new jellybam on it.Any help how to go about it cus the last time i tried, the jellybam keeps hanging, or automatically shutdown. I have to remove the battery to start it again.

The truth is your phone can not be break just with flashing, it will brick though, unless your hardware is damaged, then you are think to buy new phone.
well about the JellyBam, while you are on GB now, root your phone and install Rom manager flash Bernie's file and you're out of the rebooting. the Barnie's files is the key of JellyBam or other CM10 to work. good luck.

Thanks for the prompt reply, i just noticed that my phone isnt detecting my sim card. Its not showing any network, i just finished installing 3d kongdom rom on it but its not showing network signal. Any help on how to fix that then can u point me to a page where i can follow the instruction of how to install the jellybam cus ijust did and its still giving the same error i mentioned earlier. I luv the interface but importantly, i will love to have network signal back on my fone

because if not you will not have the network signal again and it will keep rebooting.
but if i could suggest you Just suggestion . you to flash ICS first to see how is it. i love CM10 too and smoothness of it you can't resist, but it has lotta bugs for now so to avoid all that you should starting using the ICS ported by Xbsall, it work very fine.

Download the ICS ported ,thank you Xbsall for this awesome job, without you, none will have ICS running to their device p920.
download only ROM file XBSA404.rar. here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1956347
once you download it, the extract it in one new folder on ur desktop that way it will easy to find .

once done you are on ICS.

Tanks buddy for all your help. I now have ICS on my phone but its not rooted yet. I tried downloading from one of the links you sent me but the file wasnt there anymore.After reading all comment, i found a page but the problem is my system has been having difficulties downloading from upload.com Its been an issue a very long time ago.Both my systems. Could you help me with a different link pls so i can root it. In additon, my back button is acting like cancel button,instead of taking me back, it takes me home, howcan i fix that

Guy,in the ICS OS of LG Optimus 3D,the search button acts as back button and the back button acts as home button,and the camera is upside-down..you can fix only the camera,search on forum,there are many guides

Thanks darek for the info, i found out some hours ago too. Its a pain in the bud. I dont mind the camera bt the search and back button i do mind. Is there a way to go bout that, if not is there any other ics rom that i can try because i doubt i can use this. Pls reply asap

For the question of buttons,is only a habit question
No one rom with ICS can solve this problem,so accept it xD
hi guys...after alot of searching i found cwm and its worked for me and all credits goes to this http://www.chinaphonearena.com/foru...575-MT6515-MT6577-MT6517-MT6589-MT6582-MT6592 just follow the steps and you will have cwm (i choosed auto mode) and sure its only for rooted phones,and to go to recovery mode power your phone off and then press power+volume down.i think its time now for the developers to help us with mods and custom roms.sorry for my bad english guys

Try to open your phone while pressing power and volume up. I think it will boot

Well rocker00 managed to install and boot succesfully, I dont understand what could have possibly gone wrong:silly:
Did you fully, and i mean FULLY follow the steps ?
you can backup with that CWM? And you can restore?

guys its not working..my phone just not starting after trying to install this cwm..its not booting even..PC companion cant find my device..when i attach it via pc companion it shows sony phone/tablet connected thats it..please help someone how can i start my phone??

Use Update Service & try to fash stock
Update Service Link
Hold Volume+Power btn to Switch Off your phone
1 .open Update Service
2 .Switch your phone
3 .Follow on Update Service
4. Press + hold Volume down button & connect usb & flash

I shared this page on facebook and 2 people had blackout as well. There should be something rocker00 did not tell us.

The pic he posted sure looked to be working all right
EDIT: okay people, I messaged rocker00 asking him exactly how he managed to install it
On a side note, I asked a fellow xda member ''merabini78'' to flash it and he managed to install it as well.
I pm'ed him also.
Im just waiting for their replies now

guys i installed it on my phone without any problems and also i tried many functions like mount sd card,wipe cache,wipe dalvik cache and i backup rom and all is fine !, i provided more screenshots to make you sure that it's not a fake !
the steps :
1-if your phone is not rooted yet root is ( frameroot is the easiest way ) i attached the file.for rooted phone skip this step
2-connect your phone via usb cable to your computer and enable usb debugging mode
3-install adb vocom drivers ( attached ) and in the installation progress choose others and it will installing the required drivers
4-run cwm magic create http://www.4shared.com/rar/OJSY1SBiba/cwm_magic.html and choose auto just follow the instructions and be patient,in the final progress superuser will ask for permission sure click grant then the device will reboot into recovery mode and if you like to go to recovery mode just switch your phone off the press and hold power+volume down together.

So My Friend Cellphone's "LENOVO A369i" has been Bricked .. I tried to fix it connect it for the first time, uploaded the firmware and IT FIXES :good: :fingers-crossed: but after installing CWM it still okay. After I install a Flash ROM when I Start It again It cannot start but I can go to CWM recovery :crying: I NEED TO FIX it

The Thing is i cant connect the device to the computer when I plug it in .. it ready in a second again .. it none until it's like that over and over again .. tried to reinstall the drivers but no use!!

To put the stock rom back on lenovo device, it must be powered off. (if it has a removable battery it must be removed).
preinstal the drivers into pc/laptop.
open device manager
plug in lenovo.
if device manager says 'mediatek,,,,' you are a winner & can use the sp flash tool included in the zipped rom to instal the rom.
if device manager says 'unknown device' you have 2 seconds to click on it & select update driver and a point to the downloaded lenovo driver (then it will be as above).
When you get green circle you are complete and may disconnect and put battery back in.

So if you are using windows 8 or higher version of windows then simply you have to degrade it to windows 7 or lower to install USB driver's

Try rooting your device first.
Use kingoroot pc application and use it to root your device.
After rooting your device, try "Automatic Philz toolkit for MTK" , available in xda

My brother's phone was given for repairing and the person told that :
The phone contained two Firmwares and not one, and told to proceed to the service centre.
Phone is currently in bootloop and not even charging (tried connecting it via USB to pc and found it disconnecting & connecting).
I want the OS you mentioned and explain the procedure also.
Plz Plz Plz.

If phone is connecting and disconnecting from charge, it simply means that charging port is loose. Try connecting it in an angle.
Tried connecting it with different angle.
Also when I connect it to pc. It shows USB Device not recognised after I flashed some scatter file and got an error of old file logs.
After that it doesn't boot or charge and also there isn't a bit sign of charger getting heated although it should.
But the same charger works for other phones too.
Any new suggestion is accepted.

If you cant even flash a new rom, there is nothing I can do. Maybe the emmc is toast. Or maybe the bootloader is corrupt.
Buy a new device and pls dont mess with that phone unless you know what you are doing.

If you flashed stock rom itself, you must have done something wrong before that itself.
Tell me the reason you flashed stock over again?

It wasn't me but the repairer from the shop.
The phone used to switch off/hang oftenly.
So my brother took it to the repairer.
After 2 days, he said that the phone had 2 rom instead one as it was given for repair previously also.
That might be the root cause of it.
And the phone was returned with a blue-black-unobvious display of spice logo on it.
Neither charging, constantly booting, and it's not even charging after that scatter file error.
