How to delete internal storage?

Can i just delete the entire internal storage and then what can I do to get it to stock settings?
I'm selling my tablet and I don't want my personal stuff going along with it.
Restore to factory settings?
Settings --> Backup and Reset --> Factory Data Reset.

[Q] Verizon Moto Razr Maxx has remnants of old installs after factory reset.

I recently reset my phone using the steps outlined in verizons preferred and alternate method with the same results. I made sure to uncheck the box to allow google to backup and restore my files/preferences/apps. But when i look on the phone storage there are remnants of OLD programs (folders) and a couple of pictures, all of which i had assumed would be gone after the factory reset. What did i do wrong? How do i know which folders the phone actually uses, and which are crap that i can delete?
A factory reset won't clear your internal storage. Your best bet is to backup everything you need off of the internal storage, and then delete everything and restore what you backed up.
so hypothetically, everything listed in "device storage" when browsing the phone files is not required for the phone to work? I delete everything in the device storage and still factory reset the phone?
EDIT: WHO KNEW! i deleted the files in storage and it still went through the factory reset just fine. i now have a phone again, not a brick. TY. I guess i was just too cowardly to try it without asking first.
Correct, some apps store data on the internal storage, and that is the folders you are seeing. If you delete them all anything that is coming from an app you use will be recreated when it is needed.

[Q] how to format internal SD

Hi all, I tried to look for such a simple question but didn't find an answer, so..
I have a friend who has to sell his Tab. I have to clean it, so I can restore factory reset (settings - backup and restore), but I suppose his files and datas won't be deleted.
How to format the internal SD in an unrooted tab? Is there any option in stock recovery?
Thanks a lot
flash custom recovery and try to wipe factory data
Use a file manager on the Tab or connect to a pc and delete everything in storage.

Format Internal Storage Without Root/Custom Recovery?

Is there any way to reformat the phone's internal storage without root (ie. using Odin)? The stock recovery and settings menus don't offer any option for this and performing a factory reset seems to leave the internal storage intact. This is a stock unrooted, unbranded G930F. I do not want to install TWRP and trip Knox on this device. I've run into the Media Server battery drain problem and I think the cause is a corrupt file because the issue persists after a factory reset, but just deleting every visible file from a file manager seems messy and I'm not even sure it will work.

Factory reset and iternal storage

Does factory reset format internal storage? On description it says it wipes all photos and videos, but some googling tells me that function does not format internal. So how it is?
From the fact that it's encrypted I thought that resetting password and entire phone will format everything that is encrypted.
