I have a Galaxy note 2 n7100 with unofficial cm13 ROM and it restarts randomly usually when it's in my pocket and I have some battery issues I have already tried to flash another ROM but it's not working some times it shuts down and don't turn back on again until I pull the battery out for sometime and put it back again or when I plug it to the charger is it possible to be the battery problem ? or another hardware problem ? Note: when the device is in the charger it works great with no problems

Hi,
It seems more like a hardware issue.
Please visit nearest service center and you can get it checked.

Exactly,,, I finally confirmed it was a hardware failure cause, today I connected my usb otg cable and the tab just restarts or switches off which worked fine earlier
But yesterday it charged to 100 % without any problem.....I will recheck after installing stock rom....
The only problem is to wait for the samsung Service center people to fix it......:fingers-crossed:

Try stock if it's still giving you the same problem then it's the problem with your data cable..
It shows its charging but it actually doesn't.. It shows 100% but when you connect something to the tab it just shuts down saying battery low.. I had the same problem.. I just installed stock and got my cable replaced from the service centre..
Problem solved,But doesnt understand what happened

My battery percentage never got full,,Charges 20 to 30 % from existing charge and then switches off..:silly:
,,,I don't understand what caused the problem. The problem isnt data cable as you said.I changed back from stock to Sungsonic HD and after some days all problems dissappeared
its fine now . USB OTG,Charging works fine ...Thanks for your support guys.
XDA is awsome....:good:
I am facing a strange situation where in my note 3 restarts automatically while charging. The restart happens after a while say after 15-20 minutes of charging. I am using this awesome device for past 4 months and this problem started occurring some 3 weeks back. The device does not restart on it's own in any other scenario. Pls help. I tried as mentioned in many tips over the internet i.e. removing battery, sd card then restarted the phone and unchecked allow Wifi scanning but no luck.
Are you on a stock Rom and Kernel?
if you are on anything other than stock, flash a stock Odin firmware, and see if it still occurs. But this does sound like a hardware problem if you are on stock. tried any other batteries? what temp is your battery whilst charging, anything abnormal? also are you using the stock cable and charger.

it happened on my friend's device before with a custom rom, after flashing another rom the problem's gone
I installed TWRP 2.7 on my ATT galaxy note 2 SGH-I317 and flash with custom rom. Now I am having charging issues with my phone.
1. When my phone is off and charger is connected to the phone, phone does not charge. I can only see gray battery image with processing icon.
2. When my phone is on, my battery does not charge when connected to charger (Charge % stays the same or decreased even after hours of charging). I need to take out my battery and put back in before charging my phone (By doing this phone charges normally).
I check my charging port. It is working fine.
Help!!
Hi there!
I suggest going back to stock and seeing if its fine....here is a guide,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2275844
Or simply try another ROM.
If its the same on stock....its likely hardware. Charger or cable or something.
Hopefully another ROM or stock will fix it. ?

I followed steps given in the tutorial
It fixed one of the problem.
Now if the phone is up and running, it charges normally.
One issue is still there: When my phone is off and charger is connected to the phone, phone does not charge. I can only see gray battery image with processing icon.

Might can be 2 problems, battery or either charger.
Did you wipe data/cache? If not try it out
I'm glad one problem is solved.....as for the other one, you will have to ask in your device sections Q&A forum....here....

Yes, I wiped data and cache while installing new os
I don't think it is an issue with battery or charger, because phone charges normally when it is on.
You will need to ask about this in the thread I linked above.
Hi There
Just have installed DN3 rom on my Galaxy note 2.
Everything is good but it has one strange problem.
Here is my issue.
I turn off my phone in order to charge so it charges full and fast.
As soon As I plug my use cable in phone turns on Automatically.
Is this normal?
I just found second problem
When battery is bellow 30% phone turns it self off.
Are this known problem with out Rom.
please advise me if there are fix for this.

I have a galaxy tab 2 p3100, rooted on stock rom. Recently the battery had drained to 1% and I plugged it to charge, and the tab rebooted the very next moment.
The reboot continued and it still is. I cant enter into recovery mode but can get into download mode. I have tride almost every stock rom available through odin but the update fails at half and even if it says pass nothing changes on the tab.
I even tried to get it fix from a local mobile repair shop he tried to flash rom through his ways where it showed passed, but nothing changed on the tab.
He has now addressed me that it is due to Power Ic failure that the tab reboots and we are unable to flash stock rom.
I just wanted to know if it really could be the reason of Power Ic failure that the tab reboots and doesn't flash any rom, and replacing it can solve the issue.
Thank You
I just bought my tab in a pawn shop, it had several issues with the battery, wouldn't charge to 100%, drain very fast, etc. Opening and Disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes solve all the issues, maybe this will work for you. Just an idea. Greetings.

Thanks Facoco, I am aware of this trick discharging the static power by removing the battery and holding the power button for few seconds. It really works but my issue isn't related to that its something gone wrong with the hardware (MMC IC chip).
