Hello guy's..
Is there anyway to get the remote control app from the
LG G2 to the AMAZING GS4??
Coz u know it works offline and there is no need to be connected to internet to use it..
My friend has a G2 and he keeps boast about it and thats really annoying
which remote controle app is that ? because if you are talking about Remote to control TV and devices Galaxy S4 already have an app called Watch On and you dont need to have internet to use it as it use infrared.

It should work without any issue, excpet if you have put a fat cover that block the infrared to pass. I don't know where exactly it is on phone just google it and you will know. It never worked for you even with stock rom ? if no then you may have hardware issue, you should send it for repair if you still under warranty

The app does not install its database on the device memory its available online only thats why it needs internet to work.

Yes, I use WatchOn offline, but a must select country "other"
In addition, You can also try Smart Remote [from google play]. It have more ir codes, but first you must to download them (in app).
maybe first use needs internet connection. after first use, you can use program offline.
Skip Samsungs crap app and use 3rd party software like already mentioned Smart Remote.

Anyone tried casting your screen to chromecast ?
I tried using the MirrorEnabler method, but it told me there were some essential files missing, and that I might need to flash a custom ROM to be able to cast it.
Has anyone been successful with casting on the Stock ROM ? If not does anyone know what files i'll need to push, in order to get MirrorEnabler to do its thing ?
Any help appreciated !
Thanks

The stock rom actually has casting built in. Swipe the right menu and all the way on the bottom when your device detects the chromecast should be a icon that says cast screen

Well, I just tried tihs and it works... http://forum.xda-developers.com/har...experimental-enable-mirroring-device-t2812193
Although, I tried it on a monitor, not a TV, so I'm not sure if the audio works... I will try it later or perhaps someone can jump ahead before i get home

WORKS ! I don't know if an update are come but it's works ! (I'm in testing phase without sd card... i hope is not the reason)
Yup this works now!
Google added chromecast support for the tablet
Tried it today. It's awesome! ?

Mirror casting with shield tablet using Chromecast sucks. I know Chromecast isnt designed for lagless mirroring. Playing and casting videos from your storage is really laggy.
I wished I bought Microsoft wireless display adapter instead. Based on the reviews, it seems to have the highest chance as a cable free solution to the HDMI cable.
Been looking for 2 things:
1. If anyone's actually tried NST with MS WIDI adapter, how was it?
2. Can a Chromecast be hacked to perform like a WIDI adapter, so that the content streaming won't have to go through WiFi and internet?
Hope someone could help. Thanks!
Hey I was just wondering wich ir remote app everyone uses I stopped using sense tv because its just to bloated and I never used the guide features. I finally ended up on zappir because its free now with add support wich I have blocked thanks to adaway.

This. Works great.
I haven't had any issues with the built-in HTC TV I just don't pay attention to the guide, I've just been using it for the remote features.
In the English USER manual for the Mate 9, there is a section describing the SMART CONTROLLER ir remote controller application and how to use it. Its quite clear that for my Mate 9 that this application is NO WHERE to be found. I have this model: (6GB/128 GB Model MHA-AL00 / Build Number: MHA-AL00 C00B137). I have the 2 SIM version sold by a HK seller on eBay.
I was able to find and load the SMART CONTROLLER ir application (apk) for the Huawei P9 from another Huawei site online. There were a couple "wrong version for your device" messages during the install, but the app loaded and seems to function normally.
My questions...
- Has anyone else had this issue?
- Is there a version of this program specific for the Mate 9 I could get my hands on?
- What are others recommending as far as a ir remote control application?
Thanks to all.

I'm using the same version as you and I have the app ir remote control.... It's working good but the learning function doesn't work almost all the time.... So don't worry download Anymote ir remote control and you will be very happy...
But you have to know that YES there is an app for ir remote
I think you can download it from Hiapp too if someone gives you the specific name from hiapp manage category... I can because I have deleted it
Thank you!

Thank you for the great tips!
Seems like the after market remote control apps are a better bet!
By the way...do you have the options to do WiFi calling on your phone? In the English manual its says its there, but its not present on my build.

I have never use WiFi call so if there is one I wouldn't know how to do it.... So ask someone else....
I personally disagree that a different IR app is better. The learning function doesn't work very well, but once you get it working, you can have it control anything. I've got my Mate 9 controlling my lighting, my TV (it's a strange brand so none of the apps know the codes for it, so I needed to use the learning function) and my air conditioner. It's pretty great.

Why to get tired trying and trying... You delete this app and you install Anymote with learning function that works great
Is Anymote able to learn? Trying the free version, but it's telling me learning is not supported on my Porche Design Mate 9. Or do you mean Anymote Home?
The built-in IR app is working decently anyways, I just programmed it to control my pretty much unknown room Ventilator/Light and it seems to work just fine, first time I'm able to get a phone to control it, never found it in any app's database. Not the most fancy or flexible thing I've ever seen, but it gets the job done. As long as your real remote is sending a decent signal, it looks like the learning is pretty consistent.

I guess that a full system reset would restore all those preinstalled apps, I know this is a pain in the ... but it may be your only choice.

Hi all, I'm writing few lines to guide in the use of a DS4 controller with PS4 Remote Play on Poco F1, and perhaps with any other MIUI based phone.
Starting point: stock Miui 10.1 (Android Pie), stock recovery, rooted with Magisk 18.0 from latest official Twrp just fastbooted.
The requisites are the following:
- install modules Sony Framework v1, 1Controller and SELinuxModeInverter4Magisk v1.0.5A(17000);
- obtain PS4 Remote Play 2.6.0 modded, from another thread here on XDA (latest version 2.7.0 bypasses MagiskHide and detects root, while this modded version doesn't update itself);
- buy and install from Play Store USB/BT Joystick Center 2019 (working substitute for Sixaxis, because MIUI lacks the needed bluetooth drivers and I was not able to have it working over usb);
- use a OTG usb 3.0 cable to connect DS4 and phone.
Now you can map your DS4 with USB/BT JC 2019 in touch emulator mode and enjoy a near-the-original experience playing PS4 Remote Play!
Credits and thanks to all the guys who did the hard work!!!
What about connect my controller with bluetooth?

For my experience at the moment it is not possible neither with Sixaxis nor with BT / USB Joystick Center.
It is always possible to install a custom ROM that includes the Bluetooth drivers needed by Sixaxis to work properly.
I'm focused on trying to make Remote Play work at its best on the MIUI stock, just rooted. If I make further progress I will report them here, I hope others will do the same

Official Remote Play works only over wifi, not strictly over lan.
But you can try a module called Fake Wifi, if your rom allows you to install Xposed framework.

Sure it's possible, except those of us who want it can't figure it out, and those who probably know don't care :\
DS4 doesn't work at all in any custom ROM I've tried.
And now, the only way to get DS4 working on stock, is via USB and by buying some app?
I regret buying this phone, I only really got it for gaming :\

Sixaxis something-or-rather, there is a free "test" app.
Hi, I'm also trying to get the app and a controller working but on my Nvidia Shield Tv.
So far I could get the app to work but I couldn't connect any controller to it.
My case is even stranger because the Shield Tv supports many controllers via BT, also DS4 controller. And this controller works in every app without any issues, just not in the ps4 remote play app :/
My ultimate goal would be to use my Xbox one controller for input.
In the app there's the option to register a DS4 controller but it does not work for me..
I did not try sixaxis controller app yet, do you guys think with this app I could register the controller in ps4 remote play app?
And about on screen buttons:
With the help of apps Tasker and AutoInput plugin I could map xbox one controller input to touch input on the coordinates where the on screen buttons are. However if nothing is pressed for a short time, the on screen buttons disappear and my touch input doesn't work until I move mouse cursor and get the onscreen buttons show up again :/
Will they disappear once a DS4 controller is properly connected?
If so, I could then map xbox one controller button presses to the DS4 controller
I just need to get the damn DS4 controller properly connected to the ps3 remote play app -_-

Hi, I am in pe custom rom, and I can play with the controller to other games connected to Bluetooth normally. But when in connecte it in the part of the app "register" it doesn't register and I make all that puts in the text, I have redmi note 7. And when I connect normally with Bluetooth the app doesn't recognize it and I only can play with fingers
So maybe you guys can help me. Sorry for resurrecting an older thread but I need some help with this one.
I currently have magisk (v18) and remote play (v2.8) comes on with magisk hide. However no matter what wifi I use, the ps4 will not register to my device. And when I try to use the 8 digit pin, it says failed to register. So what else can I try?
Anyone have any luck using the new one on rooted devices? I always get that 88001003 error. I'm on a rooted OnePlus 7 pro Android 10 stock.
