Hello guy's..
Is there anyway to get the remote control app from the
LG G2 to the AMAZING GS4??
Coz u know it works offline and there is no need to be connected to internet to use it..
My friend has a G2 and he keeps boast about it and thats really annoying
which remote controle app is that ? because if you are talking about Remote to control TV and devices Galaxy S4 already have an app called Watch On and you dont need to have internet to use it as it use infrared.

It should work without any issue, excpet if you have put a fat cover that block the infrared to pass. I don't know where exactly it is on phone just google it and you will know. It never worked for you even with stock rom ? if no then you may have hardware issue, you should send it for repair if you still under warranty

I tried everything to meke it work on mine but it didnt
The app does not install its database on the device memory its available online only thats why it needs internet to work.

In addition, You can also try Smart Remote [from google play]. It have more ir codes, but first you must to download them (in app).
maybe first use needs internet connection. after first use, you can use program offline.
Skip Samsungs crap app and use 3rd party software like already mentioned Smart Remote.

Is ther any chanse to remote spotify from my mobile ? like i play music from spotify on my computer. And then i can change track, vol up/down from my htc hd2. Is this possible ? Thanks fore help!
I wouldnt mind that either, I got G-remote set up working for winamp but not sure how to make it work with spotify...
use remote desktop
That is a possibility, and that is what i am doing at the moment. But shouldnt there be a way to get g-remote to tell the "next song"-command (etc) to Spotify instead of Winamp?...
I figured out how to do that with one of the tutorials on their page (g-remote's)... So i suggest you look there lovenvik..

Check out the options in the windows mobile rdp application... you can specify whether sound is played on the remote computer or on your device.

Thats good to know mate... could you not just post what you did here though? It would be helpful to others who may stumble across this thread on xda.

Are you using the one you can download from ther website or are you using the xda verision?
I tryed to install the one that xda have but i cant install the cab file (WM6BTPAN) get error code:1062 so it dont work fore me. The real verision from gsoftware are working thow, but its just a demo.
I tried posting this a couple of days ago but since in included urls then i could not post it. But I'm rewriting it now to tell you what to search for instead
I am using server version 1.3.3.71 and client version 1.3.2.96 (although i had to use an older one to add profiles since that one wont let me).
gbmsoftware.com (homepage of the developers) has a videotutorial under their FAQ called "How to add custom program to GMedia profiles". It shows how to make VLC controllable but works just as well with using the key shortcuts that Spotify use.
Just google "spotify keyboard shortcuts" and you should have no trouble finding it.
Same goes for lets say MPC... (my favourite)
Hope that helps
The demo version should work to try out, but getting your hands on a registered version might help... That's what I did

Yeh, it does some stuff with a private Youtube API that involves sending a hashed version of your IMEI to the server to verify your device for access.

would your method also work for homebrew apps that are not htc? like touchxplorer and advanced config (registry editor) for other devices?

Thank you, the unit converter is a nice app.
But what I'd really need is the HTC flashlight app. Any chance to make this possible in future?

Not really - the device uses the HTC Drivers to turn on the flash LED. However, davux has a perfectly-working cross-device flashlight app that turns on the LED using the extended media API, available from here.

Thank you for the clarification
I've already installed the app you've mentioned. It's working fine but still has the problem that the app is being "revoked" when the phone locks itself (when connected to Zune).
It just would have been nice to have a flashlight app that is still working when the phone relocks -I merely used the unlock to deploy my ringtones.

You need to prevent that your device locks itself. There are tools you can use, like this one.
By the way, if you're looking for other HTC apps for your Samsung, then you can try the HTC Hub and HTC Notes.

In the English USER manual for the Mate 9, there is a section describing the SMART CONTROLLER ir remote controller application and how to use it. Its quite clear that for my Mate 9 that this application is NO WHERE to be found. I have this model: (6GB/128 GB Model MHA-AL00 / Build Number: MHA-AL00 C00B137). I have the 2 SIM version sold by a HK seller on eBay.
I was able to find and load the SMART CONTROLLER ir application (apk) for the Huawei P9 from another Huawei site online. There were a couple "wrong version for your device" messages during the install, but the app loaded and seems to function normally.
My questions...
- Has anyone else had this issue?
- Is there a version of this program specific for the Mate 9 I could get my hands on?
- What are others recommending as far as a ir remote control application?
Thanks to all.

I'm using the same version as you and I have the app ir remote control.... It's working good but the learning function doesn't work almost all the time.... So don't worry download Anymote ir remote control and you will be very happy...
But you have to know that YES there is an app for ir remote
I think you can download it from Hiapp too if someone gives you the specific name from hiapp manage category... I can because I have deleted it
Thank you!

Thank you for the great tips!
Seems like the after market remote control apps are a better bet!
By the way...do you have the options to do WiFi calling on your phone? In the English manual its says its there, but its not present on my build.

I personally disagree that a different IR app is better. The learning function doesn't work very well, but once you get it working, you can have it control anything. I've got my Mate 9 controlling my lighting, my TV (it's a strange brand so none of the apps know the codes for it, so I needed to use the learning function) and my air conditioner. It's pretty great.

Why to get tired trying and trying... You delete this app and you install Anymote with learning function that works great
Is Anymote able to learn? Trying the free version, but it's telling me learning is not supported on my Porche Design Mate 9. Or do you mean Anymote Home?
The built-in IR app is working decently anyways, I just programmed it to control my pretty much unknown room Ventilator/Light and it seems to work just fine, first time I'm able to get a phone to control it, never found it in any app's database. Not the most fancy or flexible thing I've ever seen, but it gets the job done. As long as your real remote is sending a decent signal, it looks like the learning is pretty consistent.
