Hi Guys
Today I was talking over phone when suddenly it went blank and I could not hear any sound. No display. So I took out battery, left it for a min, kept it back and tried. Now it is not turning on.
Tried connecting to charger and even PC. It was having 80% charge and was on Angeeks ROM.
What could be the problem?
BTW Phone is out of warranty

Is it going into recovery or download mode?
Sent from my GT-I9103 using xda premium
Nope. If it went into either, I wouldve flashed some stock ROM.
NO display whatsoever. Totally blank. It is not even vibrating a bit, so it isnt turning ON!
Check APX mode. Hold Volume Up + Home + Power, wait for a bit, then connect your phone to PC. You will hear Windows' sound that it detects it.
If it's going to APX mode you can use unbrick method.....

Connect the charger and let it charge for some time. Then if you get the charging animation you can try rebooting.

if you don't have you will lose IMEI...
Well, I am prepared for it. I checked the whole guide.
If I dont backup, I would loose IMEI but phone will boot. Then I can take to SSC, and tell them I lost network and they would fix it.
But now, It is not booting into any mode except APX. Tried the drivers too. Shows APX in eject and Nvidia USB Boot-recovery.
The .bat file wont work!

Try to open a separate command line and run the bat file there. It will not close at least.
After the bat file had exited, did you try to reboot into download mode and flash a rom?

I had no idea where else to go for help I have a vzw gs3 and wanted to install a custom rom. When I was trying to flash the bootloader which I was doing following this video youtube .com/watch?v=K4b9hcWHrW8#t=155 after I did the first bootloader unlock step my phone did not restart and now is just black. Nothing happens when i plug it in or hold power button. Please help I do not have the money for a replacement phone and i figured this would be my first place to try for help. Also i have installed custom roms before and it worked fine just never on a phone. Sorry for the space in the link it wouldn't let me post with it because i am a new user.

Have you tried booting into download or recovery mode? Here's how http://www.knowtechbetter.net/how-t...-download-mode-on-samsung-galaxy-s3-tutorial/
If you can get into download mode I would odin back to stock and then use this tool to root, unlock the bootloader, and flash a custom recovery.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2332825
As for why your phone won't turn on or anything I'm not really sure. My best guess would to take out the battery and plug the phone in without the battery to see if anything happens, and then put the battery back in.

There are options here.
Use this method, but you need a class 10 external SD card with the exact same size as your internal card, and you need to follow the directions exactly, it should work:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45595912
Other option is you can send it into somebody for a jtag repair, mobile tech videos will do it for $60 I think, either way you go you won't be buying a new phone.

It was a guess suggestion. I would try booting into download mode or any mode with the battery out. But if you can get something to happen to show you're phone isn't completely broken I would leave the battery in and just let in charge for a little while.
Can you get to the charging animation the phone makes it's charging while it's off?
And have your tried putting the battery back in while the red light is on?
(again these are just suggestions, I've only soft bricked my phone twice so idk if it will work for you)

My last idea would be to just try different combinations of having the battery in and out, when you put it back in, having it plugged into the wall and computer, and trying to boot into any of the 3 boot modes. Otherwise I have no idea, but when in doubt just try everything.

I already tried that too, but still not working.
Not sure, but try this. Take out the battery, and hold the power button for ~5 seconds. Connect the phone to a PC. Flash the stock FTF. When it asks to press the back button, insert the battery (without removing the microUSB). The flash will begin. After the flash is complete, let the phone be for about half an hour, then remove the cable and turn it on.

Hi
I had this same problem a while ago, I am sorry to say your phone is bricked BUT FIXABLE
1. Take battery out of the phone.
2. Install all drivers needed.
3. Download Sony Update Service (Google it).
4.Open SUS and click Agree and next, select the Xperia E and hit next.
5. Put the battery in.
6. Now as instructed by SUS plug in the USB cable to the PC while holding the volume down key.
7. If you have done everything correctly, update service should detect your phone.
8. Click Install and follow instructions on screen.
THANK ME

First of all !
I think you might have a battery issue too !
First charge your battery fully !
Incase it isn't charging follow these steps :
- Pull out battery
- Plug in the charger and start charging
- After the charging LED turns on, insert the battery while pressing the back button and during this don't stop charging.
- Congo, now you have your phone charging.
Now, make sure you have an unlocked bootloader of your Phone to try the flashing things and if you already have it unlocked then try relocking it with Flashtool and apply for warranty ! or you can still flash your original stock firmware with locked bootloader too or use Sony Update Service.
You can check out this thread for the Sony Xperia E Single stock firmware and guide to get back into stock :
Link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2568176
Or if you want your bootloader unlocked and want to fix the phone then try flashing the stock firmware of your device.
As mentioned by other members in the earlier posts.

When the phone is on, plugging in the cord will charge the phone for a couple of seconds before it stops working. If its powered off, the phone charges normally but obviously I want to be able to use my phone. Does anyone have a fix for this, or do I need to get back to stock and make an insurance claim with Verizon?
I should mention I'm running the GPE ROM currently.

I have one somewhere that I could try tomorrow. I think it might be a software problem since it started entering car mode all the time randomly when not plugged in yesterday, and that's when this started. That being said, it seems if I let the car mode notification sit in my status bar it will charge for the most part.

The problem is:
No download mode
No recovery
no fastboot mode
When connecting to the current does not turn on the screen and sometimes it turns on but the load does not rise from 0% and the red LED blinks after a moment stops blinking and no longer turns on the screen, when connecting it to the pc it is detected but with battery it does not light the screen, when removed the battery lights up with a non-battery alert and up comes out fastboot mode started. I have tried with other batteries and still nothing happens.

There is another possibility. Try another cord. The original cords after a while can be very finicky. Mine was. Make sure the next cord you try is definitely a fast charging data sync cable. Your best best is another of v10 cord. If that doesn't work, then you do indeed have a catastrophic hardware failure. And there is currently no fix 100% fix. There are the methods that the other posters mentioned but if those dont work, then your board is shot. Also, after trying the new cord. Reinstall the lg drivers on your pc.
