I'm using Galaxy S4 LTE-A with CM11 installed, and the latest nightly build is CM13, but it's battery drain.
Google recently released some important security patches for KitKat 4.4.4, my question is, how can I apply these patches to my CM11 without upgrading to CM13?

You need to compile the rom yourself. What is even worse is that CM does not apply security patches to Kitkat anymore, which means, not only you have to know how to compile CM-11, but also you have apply patches one by one manually...
An easier alternative would be to upgrade to CM-12.1, which has most security patches...

Hi team,
Quick question from a newbie.
What's the difference between the fw preinstalled on my opo and cm11s m11.
When cm12s will be released, both fw will receive ota at the same time?
Thanks
Ebt
Cm11/cm12 is faster with updates there is already cm12
Cm11s is the same but has different lock screen and thats acualy the only thing i see is different and the only thing I like..
Cm12s will come like next year begin January.
They're both very similar but the way that the updates work for CM11 and CM11S (XNPH44S) are different.
CM11S contains some closed-source applications such as the lock screen, AudioFX (supposed to be open sourced but not yet), WhisperPush, and some other applications
CM11.... is possible to flash a zip (you'll have to find it) and make it be like CM11S since all the applications are in that zip.
Personally, I would just forget about CM11 and CM11S and flash CM12 and get in the Lollipop business as thats where all the interest is in right now.
Both, thanks for your reply.
Very useful to understand difference between CM11s/CM11.
But definitely, I'll go for CM12
Cm11s is the opo specific ROM for our phones. It has features or fixes for opo specifically. It's the "stable" version good for public release.
Cm11 is either snapshots deemed stable (example m10, m11, etc) but there's also cm11 nightlies that are not deemed stable they are built every night with usually new additions that could make things better or worse until tested
Cm11 based ROM are all KitKat ROM
Cm12 projects are all Lollipop based ROM. As you can see there's no snapshots such as cm12 m1 etc so there's no version deemed stable. In fact CyanogenMod hasn't even released one officially, everything you see here is unofficial and built by users.
Cm12 ROM are all in alpha stages but CyanogenMod is working on it at this point
I know the latest official CM11 nightly is the January 5th nightly from https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=bacon
However, there have been more recent commits to the CM11 branch as well as for the OnePlus One. Is there any unofficial CM11 builds going out there (no cherry picks, custom stuff) to incorporate the latest changes? Or would anyone be interested in doing that? (I'm too noob)
Thanks!
Any custom cm11s ROM still under development and custom kernel will have updated commits. Or download the newly released cm11s ota to update from 44s to 05q or whatever it is
CM11 nightlies have stopped, but as we all know CM12 isn't fully ready yet either as its still got some bugs, especially as we're waiting for 5.1 sync as well. Would someone like to build CM11 from the latest repo sync? The last nightly was January 5th, and since then there have been fixes that made it to 05Q build of CM11S. It would be nice to have the latest CM11 builds with the latest changes (hint: the CM11 branch still does get some activity....)
You can see the latest CM11 commits here: http://www.cmxlog.com/11/
There are definitely commits since January 5th.
With the Wakelock Issue regarding Play Services 7.x fixed (http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/91881/ and http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/91882/), it would be REALLY nice now if someone could build a fresh CM11 copy.
Bump. I guess everyone's eager to migrate to CM12 and doesn't care about CM11 at all
I am going to post nightly builds of Cyanogenmod 12.1 for the MOTO G Falcon only.
Please keep in mind that it is a good idea to use the latest build of 12.1 because of important security fixes.
The posted nightlies are built from the official sources.
I made two modifications to the source code:
I.) I patched call recording into the rom - you can record any calls you make or take.
II.) I patched signature spoofing support into the rom. Now you can install microG GmsCore. This way you can get rid of the proprietary GAPPS.
I am not sure for how long I can update this thread - but the next version will be built when Android security patch level for March is reached.
I strongly recommend to use this build or build it on your own because of critical bugs that got fixed with the February patch level.
Android security patch level:

Fun Fact: It took 25 hours to build this rom with a 1.6 ghz core2duo, 4 gig of ram and 5400rpm hdd.
Thanks man!!!
One question please.
Why 12.1 ??
I mean, cm 13 is already available and its stable enough to be used.
P.S.: in my personal opinion marshmallow is more smooth in ram management then lollipop.
Well, let me say THANK YOU!
It looks very promising! Downloading. Many people will complain about not using cm13. IMO 5.1.1 can still have a lot of better changes and improvements. Thanks to you and all those devs who haven't forgotten CM12.1.
Hi, I am using this rom without any problems so far but I do have a question, why can't I install some games that I can install on other lollipop roms? Like Sonic Dash, Deus Ex and Robot Unicorn Attack?
Thanks in advance.
My phone is XT1033 asia retail with paranoid android 5.1.1 rom. I want an android lollipop 5.1.1 custom rom which is recieving weekly updates!
Please help.
you dont get any 5.1.1 custom ROMS with weekly updates anymore. however there is a CM12.1 build that is updated monthly with latest security updates.

you will have to move onto CM13 (nightlies) or any other MM builds if you are interested in more frequent updates.
