difference between xnph44s and cm11 m11 - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi team,
Quick question from a newbie.
What's the difference between the fw preinstalled on my opo and cm11s m11.
When cm12s will be released, both fw will receive ota at the same time?
Thanks
Ebt

Cm11/cm12 is faster with updates there is already cm12
Cm11s is the same but has different lock screen and thats acualy the only thing i see is different and the only thing I like..
Cm12s will come like next year begin January.

They're both very similar but the way that the updates work for CM11 and CM11S (XNPH44S) are different.
CM11S contains some closed-source applications such as the lock screen, AudioFX (supposed to be open sourced but not yet), WhisperPush, and some other applications
CM11.... is possible to flash a zip (you'll have to find it) and make it be like CM11S since all the applications are in that zip.
Personally, I would just forget about CM11 and CM11S and flash CM12 and get in the Lollipop business as thats where all the interest is in right now.

Both, thanks for your reply.
Very useful to understand difference between CM11s/CM11.
But definitely, I'll go for CM12

Cm11s is the opo specific ROM for our phones. It has features or fixes for opo specifically. It's the "stable" version good for public release.
Cm11 is either snapshots deemed stable (example m10, m11, etc) but there's also cm11 nightlies that are not deemed stable they are built every night with usually new additions that could make things better or worse until tested
Cm11 based ROM are all KitKat ROM
Cm12 projects are all Lollipop based ROM. As you can see there's no snapshots such as cm12 m1 etc so there's no version deemed stable. In fact CyanogenMod hasn't even released one officially, everything you see here is unofficial and built by users.
Cm12 ROM are all in alpha stages but CyanogenMod is working on it at this point

(Wait Continues)CyanogenMod 12/L For Galaxy S3 GT-I9300

Hello everybody,
I was wondering, when will CyanogenMod 12 comes out? Will they still support all of the devices they have been supporting? Or at least, in specific, our device?
This is very exciting if/when we get this on our device. I personally will just wait on a CM as stock never really does it for me.
I know I probably shouldn't bring this up, but I can't wait to blow my friend's new iOS 8. 1 update out of the water with CM12/L.
Share your thoughts and views on the next version of CM.
First offical nightlies in december first, first snapshots will be in january.Already we have unoffical cm12 builds.

Well, Nameless ROM have burnt CM12 in ashes. According to my experience, Nameless ROM 5.0.2 is way more stable than CM12. It can be used as a daily driver.

Custom build latest CM11 Nightly?

I know the latest official CM11 nightly is the January 5th nightly from https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=bacon
However, there have been more recent commits to the CM11 branch as well as for the OnePlus One. Is there any unofficial CM11 builds going out there (no cherry picks, custom stuff) to incorporate the latest changes? Or would anyone be interested in doing that? (I'm too noob)
Thanks!
Any custom cm11s ROM still under development and custom kernel will have updated commits. Or download the newly released cm11s ota to update from 44s to 05q or whatever it is

[Q&A] CM 12.1 nightlies vs CM 12.1 OS? (+ other)

Hi guys, i've searched an answer to this but nothing so here I am.
What are the main differences from CyanogenMod 12.1 Nightlies and CyanogenOS 12.1?
The OS is build especially for the One plus One and so?? The battery drain is different? The desing??
Do you recommend one or another?
And for finish this, why I would install a rom on my smartphone built on Cyanogen? Why I would change the kernel?
Thanks
They're from the same tree but are different branches. CM12.1 is the nightly branch, more up to date, but can be susceptible to bugs. COS12.1 is considered to be the stable branch, less up to date. There is plenty of information online on why one would use a custom kernel, just search for it.

Most usable CM release

Hi all,
I have some problems with my stock ROM.
That's time to format all, and for going on new more stable and powerful rom !
Could you tell me which is the most usable/stable CM Rom by now ?
I used to use CM11, but it changes to branch CM12, then CM12.1 and after the first M-release, it changed again to CM13 branch.
So, any idea which one to use today with my XT1032 falcon ?
I know there is no official stable release by now, but some nightlies or M-release were very stable for a simple usage as mine.
Thank you in advance.
choice may very person to person.
in my case I got most stable CM is unofficial cm12.1 by fonz93.
and most stable AOSP based is minimal os.

Starting from scratch: Best ROM for OnePlus One (unlocked bootloader)?

Im decided that Its time to wipe my OnePlus One and start all over again. I have a unlocked bootloader so I can put any ROM I wish.
Im looking to keep all the feature I currently have, more so Bluetooth as I use it in my car daily. I use this for work so no nightlies or testing out ROMs that might or might not have bugs. Also latest marshmellow.
What do you recommend?
Sultan's CM13.
Official CM13 nightly builds for OPO or Official CM13 stable
Paranoid android AOSPA rom
Fusionjack's SlimSaber
It's rock solid and has some nice features
