(Wait Continues)CyanogenMod 12/L For Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 - General Topics

Hello everybody,
I was wondering, when will CyanogenMod 12 comes out? Will they still support all of the devices they have been supporting? Or at least, in specific, our device?
This is very exciting if/when we get this on our device. I personally will just wait on a CM as stock never really does it for me.
I know I probably shouldn't bring this up, but I can't wait to blow my friend's new iOS 8. 1 update out of the water with CM12/L.
Share your thoughts and views on the next version of CM.

First offical nightlies in december first, first snapshots will be in january.Already we have unoffical cm12 builds.

Well, Nameless ROM have burnt CM12 in ashes. According to my experience, Nameless ROM 5.0.2 is way more stable than CM12. It can be used as a daily driver.

Hey guys, just wondering if there is any chance of CM10.2 (Android 4.3 based) being ported over to the Nexus 5? I seem to remember reading that the CM team were going to concentrate on getting a stable 10.2 release before they start working on a new version based on 4.4 so we might be waiting a while for CM10.3 or whatever comes next.
Anyone have more info?

As far as I know they are working on a stable release for the phones that are already running 10.2
I am pretty sure that they will go straight to Kit Kat with CM11. It has already been pushed to github so it is only a matter of time until it is released.

difference between xnph44s and cm11 m11

Hi team,
Quick question from a newbie.
What's the difference between the fw preinstalled on my opo and cm11s m11.
When cm12s will be released, both fw will receive ota at the same time?
Thanks
Ebt
Cm11/cm12 is faster with updates there is already cm12
Cm11s is the same but has different lock screen and thats acualy the only thing i see is different and the only thing I like..
Cm12s will come like next year begin January.
They're both very similar but the way that the updates work for CM11 and CM11S (XNPH44S) are different.
CM11S contains some closed-source applications such as the lock screen, AudioFX (supposed to be open sourced but not yet), WhisperPush, and some other applications
CM11.... is possible to flash a zip (you'll have to find it) and make it be like CM11S since all the applications are in that zip.
Personally, I would just forget about CM11 and CM11S and flash CM12 and get in the Lollipop business as thats where all the interest is in right now.
Both, thanks for your reply.
Very useful to understand difference between CM11s/CM11.
But definitely, I'll go for CM12
Cm11s is the opo specific ROM for our phones. It has features or fixes for opo specifically. It's the "stable" version good for public release.
Cm11 is either snapshots deemed stable (example m10, m11, etc) but there's also cm11 nightlies that are not deemed stable they are built every night with usually new additions that could make things better or worse until tested
Cm11 based ROM are all KitKat ROM
Cm12 projects are all Lollipop based ROM. As you can see there's no snapshots such as cm12 m1 etc so there's no version deemed stable. In fact CyanogenMod hasn't even released one officially, everything you see here is unofficial and built by users.
Cm12 ROM are all in alpha stages but CyanogenMod is working on it at this point

[Q] CM Lollipop !!

Hello All ?
I want to know when will cyanogenmod team publishe the new rom lollipop 5 ?
I hope it will soon ??
They will do it when they are done. No point asking for ETA.
If you cant wait, there are a few alpha builds, albeit quite buggy.

CM 14.1

Why haven't we seen an official CM 14.1 for hammerhead. CM 14.1 official has been released for hammerheadcaf but not regular Hammerhead. I am tired of waiting for an official release, they are dragging their feet like Google did with the original Nougat release. We have seen some unofficial development, but until official development is released network an custom kernel support isn't useful. Every unofficial CM 14.1 release hasn't supported my sim card and a custom kernel with USB fast charge.
Keep patient bro. It'll be released soon (Hope So).

They keep releasing nightlies of CM 13, they need to move on already. Hopefully the CM theme engine is fixed by then also.

You have to be more patient, you are just simply to inpatient.
CM14.1 is in its early develop stage, things have to settle, the nightly's for the regular version will come when it's time.

Here is a answer for ROMs that's ready to be released for the Tab 4 7.0 wifi

Here is the list of the following ROMs that are already made and will be released soon. And also some others that haven't been worked on yet, and will be released soon. I want to release all of these before I retire from making Android ROMs (I may continue in the future). I have been talking about this at school, a teacher finds if it cool that I work with Android. And I have been thinking about this for a while now. It has been taking a lot of my free time. Sorry guys for bringing the bad news. When I quit, I will be putting in the latest security patch. So, when it hits Feb 2018, I will be uploading the last security patch to the following ROMs listed below in the near future (Except the CM 12.1 Based ROM). Thank you for understanding.
1.) LineageOS 11 (No longer coming)
2.) CM 12.1 Based ROM (ROM lost, can't find it, not coming)
3.) CyanogenMod 14.1 Based ROM 1 year update (Coming Feb 2018) (If you want to see a trailer of the update, let me know in the comments)
4.) Over Clocked Stock ROM (Coming soon)
5.) TriangleOS KK update 2 (No longer coming)
6.) CM 11 Based ROM update
7.) SlimKat Based ROM (Too many bugs, most likely it won't come)
