If it stuck at boot logo or bootanimation, it's probably softbricked.

WOW i bricked my phone last night and i couldnt get to download mode and i tried all the methods here in the forums still wont get to download mode!
so yea basically this post will help you if your phone wont get to download mode and your phone keep getting stuck at the atnt screen or galaxy s screen.
all you have to do is open one click root while your phone is stuck on atnt screen or galaxy s screen and just click one root and boom! it will get you to clockwork recovery! (Note you should have clockwork recovery or else it will get you to stock recovery)
WOW!! Your title had me believing all the rumour threads were true for a second. I thought you got froyo.

If you can get to the AT&T or Galaxy S screens, you're not bricked. You can use ADB at that point. As well, the three button SBL fix would be loaded and usable at that point.
Semi-bricked would be the computer - ! - phone screen. Really bricked would simply be a dark screen. Thus when you are really bricked, the hardware solution from the other thread that you said wasn't necessary will be... How can I say it?... Necessary.

So i need all the help i can get. I tried installing Cynogen mod 10 from 9 and i got stuck on the bootloader screen. so i tried flashing darksidewipe to wipe the cache but that didnt work as well. So i tried restoring my old rom i backed up and it just freezes in CWM. so i tried pulling the battery out and going back into CWM and tried factory resetting but once i pressed that it goes to the loading screen where it explains that its wiping.. then it just freezes.. tried everything and nothing works.. has my phone been bricked?????
please help...
thanks everyone.
Soft bricked sure. But luckily not hard bricked. Flash the original stock tar through odin. Should rewrite your ROM and also your recovery too. You'll be fine. I have faith in you.

If you're genuinely concerned that you've bricked, pull your battery out for 30 minutes then put it back in and try to force your phone into download mode. If it gets there, restore your phone to stock with ODIN. If you're able to do that successfully, you were soft-bricked (at worst). If ODIN doesn't recognize your device or your phone won't boot into download, you've got a $600 paperweight. Not necessarily applicable to this situation, as it seems you've already resolved the soft brick, but something to keep in mind going forward.

I'm assuming you have an international A2? We need to know what firmware/carrier you have.
But overall it sounds as though you didn't properly patch the FXZ, it needs to be patched, otherwise you will hard brick.
If you did not properly patch the FXZ then your phone is hard bricked.

No i didnt can i unbrick my phone?
If you're phone is not booting, or won't boot into fast boot then it is hard bricked mate. Bricked, as in dead.
Sorry for the bad news dude.
It won't boot at all? Can you get into fast boot?
Try holding both volume buttons down, then holding the power button down. If nothing happens. It's bricked.

Your phone is Hardbricked like mine now you can not do anything to boot it back unless we find anything to reset efuse as JIM said. If you've warranty then get a replacement.
hard bricked also
Hi everyone, just joined this site.
I also forgot to apply the patch before fxz to 2.3.5 from JBcm10... my fault fully.
If anyone wants my mb865 at&t branded phone to look at for JTAG research purposes then send me a message and I will send it to you. If you happen to work out a fix I would love to get it back with the fix. I'll pay postage. If it dies while being poked and prodded, no great loss to me.
I live in Rockhampton Queensland Australia.
regards
Martin.
Fastboot ok

i have uninstalled bmm and then this problem started of black screen right after boot image..and noting else. then i fxz stock ics with rsd lite process went well and rsd lite said finished but still the same old problem. please help.
I rooted my galaxy s2 and i tried installing my own ROM and i have no idea what i did because now my phone is stuck on a black screen, it wont restart it wont go to the recovery page it wont reboot or anything. Does anybody have any advice? Please help me, im freaking out!
It's a bootloop. You'll have to reflash generic firmware for your phone and start again, with a clear idea of what you are going to do
Try downloading a stock ROM and flash it with FLASHTOOL... You'll have to know how to put your Samsung into flash mode...

Samsung galaxy s4.
Right now I restored to my previous working ROM, but I'm afraid of rebooting it.
Is my phone really bricked?
Davik wipe fails for some reason, I can get into tarp with no issue though...

Stuck Logo
I have exactly the same problem with my galaxy tab 2 10.1 p5110.
I do hope u did a backup before u flashed it. I simply reflashed using the backup & all is well.
I have done this twice so far & have yet to find an answer.

Were you able to reboot your galaxy tab after restoring from backup?
Right now I'm afraid to reboot my phone because I'm afraid it'll stuck at boot logo again.
