Just did thanks. It helped a bit but its still touchy. Sometimes when i press on an app it will register as like 5 very fast clicks. And when im typing it will often click on like 5 extra letters when im not even typing fast or anything. Im starting to think maybe my tablet is damaged

That sounds very unusual. It's either damaged or maybe hijacked?

[Q] Tmobile sidekick getting crazy

Hii everybody .. i have a problem with my sidekick 4g Tmobile sometimes it looks like everything is just normal but sometimes its just getting crazy and start to click and doing things even if i dont even touch it, I tried hard reset and a new rom using odin but after few hours it starts to get crazy again please tell me what is really the problem is it a software or hardware problem .thank you for your help
With the stock ROM, this is incredibly common. Mine, along with friends I know, device's did this not too long after we had them. I would say try flashing a custom rom. Another thing that would help is to disable the optical joystick under accessibility, when that gets too much light, the thing goes bat ****.
It's pretty common for our touchscreen driver to act up. This can usually be fixed by toggling the screen off and on again. And being capacitive, it can react if you have a finger right on the very edge of the screen, or a lot of moisture anywhere on it.
Also, the optical trackpad tends to freak out in bright sunlight. I turned mine off completely because it was so useless.

Definitely a hardware problem. Has your device gotten wet recently?

I think that i will try a custom rom and see ..but for disabling the optical joystick i've tried that but still the same problem /thanx
I had a very similar problem (thread here). If you wipe your screen on your pants/shirt or with a damp cloth/napkin/whatever, is the problem fixed for a short while (even just a minute or so)?
I found that oil or something on the screen causes it to go wonky for some reason. The solution for me was to order screen protectors. I guess they block the oil or whatever it is from contacting the touch surface. Whatever the problem is, a screen protector has fixed the problem for at least two of us, so it's probably worth a shot

I think that might help. Whenever mine hets even a small drop of water on the screen it will not react to my finger commands. I just lock it wipe it and unlock ot and voila.

I'm glad this solution worked for you as well! Samsung must have botched something with the digitizer on some of these phones.

Whenever my sidekick does this I just give it a good punch to the screen and it stops. Dunno why it works, but it works.

Vibrate lost! [Solved]

So basically, I was in the middle of texting, and my phone lost vibration. I was on cMiui.
I tried using one-clicks back to stock, but the problem lingered. I also tried different Kernels before that. I have no idea what to do about it, can anyone help me?
Also, sorry if this was asked+solved before, I was looking but I didnt find anything related to this, and I'm a bit frustrated as well.
Calm your pretty little face.
Do you feel little vibrations? If so shake your phone while its off.
If you don't, try and shake it but I don't know if it will come back.

No problem, happened to me once, mark the thread [Solved] by editing your post.
If you don't want this occurring again you can disable keyboard vibration but it should happen rarely. I really suggest you turn the vibration off if your a type really fast with the keyboard, plus it saves you battery!

Screen freezes - Hardware issue

Hi all
I swear this is some voodoo stuff going on with my phone. I replaced the lcd by myself about half a year ago and it was working fine until last week, but I assume this has something to do with it.
Thing is, the screen freezes whenever I'm not pressing its bottom down. Like I can get it running and do whatever I want while squeezing the bottom of the screen (just below the softkeys) and the back of the phone together but as soon as I let go, the screen freezes and I have to take the battery out. Don't ask how I figured it out. The softkeys still vibrate when I press them but I have no idea if the phone is still running fine or if it's actually the system which freezes. The former would make more sense to me though.
I also had the touchscreen issue which I didn't ever get around but I don't think it has anything to do with this.
I have opened that sucker up and taken a gander, I assume some connector is loose or something is grounded poorly but I couldn't see anything. I appreciate any kind of help.
Thank you.
Try to remove the LCD and fix it againg with proper guidance

Yeah well, the lcd has only one connector and it is properly attached. Could anything else go wrong with it? I will fix it again if I know it could help somehow but it was a real pain and I don't want to screw anything without a reason.
And that is the same link as in my post but thanks anyway. I was just mentioning it in case it could be related, I don't really care about it any longer.

MOTO G - Random Unresponsiveness

I have a Moto G and it seems like the screen response sometimes just stops working. When it is working all is well. I have tried few of the touch applications and they are all good. If i put it into sleep and press the power button, i can unlock the phone but no response at the home screen. Sometimes it works great for hours and then would stop. Don't think its a screen issue.
It's out of warranty so sending it back is out of question. I don't think it ever got wet or water damaged. Don't know much of the history on this. Would appreciate the help.
EDIT:
1) I reflashed the stock Telus Rom again last night, but issue hasn't changed much.
2) I disabled the lockscreen (set to none) and seems like it only registers one touch then stops as was the case with the lockscreen. Sometimes it just keeps working fine.
Just trying to figure out if its a software issue or a touchscreen issue. The hard buttons all work fine.
Stock? Which version?
Third party ROM or Kernel?
Does it happen randomly or only while connected to the charger or USB?

Kitkat 4.4.4 Stock Telus/Kodoo Rom.
Happens Randomly.
EDIT: Added some notes above.
If it keeps doing it after a full clean flash then I would bet it's an hardware problem...

Hardware wise is it the lcd/digitizer or motherboard ? Trying to figure that out.
Sorry, can't give any insight on that. I don't even know if there is an easy way to be able to know what of those two is faulty.
Just out of curiosity. Are you in a very moist/damp/humid (not sure what's the right word for this) area?
Do you have sweaty fingers?
I'm asking this because I also feel kind of an unresponsiveness whenever the screen has any moist on it or if my fingers are sweaty.

Nexus 5 wont turn on at all :(

So i dropped my nexus 5 from about 2 ft accidentally and now it wont turn on, and it is extremely hot. Please some one helppppp!:crying:
I don't think it works, but please test it: Press and hold the powerbutton for 20-30 seconds. This will preform a reset (like removing battery). Good luck!

If it is getting hot, it's probably turning on. Looks like you'll have to get your screen replaced. Even if there is no crack, it does not mean the screen and digitizer is still intact.

extremely hot means something wrong with the devices including system corruption, if its hardware problem u might want to send to phone shop for diagnose,, if its software, try flash stock rom.. sees if its boot and showed up boot image...
i hope it doesnt have hardware damage since just a 2feet drop,, nevertheless the digitizer screen

I cant get into bootloader so i cant flash a factory image, there is no haptic feedback too. So i guess its a hardware problem.. the phone has cooled now. But it was extremely hot for an hour. I guess the battery ran out.

If by can't boot into bootloader you mean all you see is a black screen. Well that pretty much confirms that at least the screen needs to be replaced. Get it replaced and when testing it you'll find out if there's anything else wrong (hardware wise) with your Nexus 5. Cheers.

Yes , but if it was the screen, atleast i would've got some response from the phone, such as the charging light or atleast i would've been detected on my pc. Oh well, anyways ill have to get it repaired.

Nope. i got it checked and its the whole motherboard. Now i got to buy a new phone. Still confused how a 2 feet drop did this..
I can say that the body can't holds up that figure impact, our n5 is a whole plastics haha... My fri3nds n5 dropped his at 5 feet from his bare hands on a carpet, guess what, screen broken and its frame gone loose,,, wow, nice build.... However nexus 5 rocks !!!!
I recommend removing the back cover and checking for loose or damaged connections. Also, remove and re-attached each connections and try to boot the phone.
