[Completed] Choosing between firmwares - XDA Assist

I have Wileyfox Swift and its latest official firmware is Cyanogen OS 13.1.2 (6.0.1) and it's arm64.
This smartphone has clone, which is General Mobile 4G. The hardware is absolutely the same. Not so long time ago it updated to Android 7.0, but this firmware is just arm.
The question is - is it worth it to flash newest Android if my phone has arm64 processor?

Hello,
We would not recommend flashing other device firmware into yours. It may lead to unknown consequences.

Is there any chance for SM-P901 and SM-P905 To get marshmallow?

Is there any chance for SM-P905 To get official marshmallow update from samsung or Is there any custom rom for SM-P901 based on marshmallow?
for SM-P905, there will be no official MM update.
But there's a Custom ROM on based CM13 for SM-P905
[ROM][P905][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 13.0 | Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow | 20160609
By Valera1978,
This device is 28 months old, which is 10 months over the length of Google's software contract.
Long answer short: No. There won't be an official update.
You'll have to use a customROM.
Hi all, is there any unofficial ROM (with MM) which has the support to S-pen functionalities?

Installing custom ROMs on phones with older android version

Hey! My Huawei Y5 II is operating using Android 5.1. Is it possible to install, say, LineageOS or one of the newest Cyanogen mods on it (based off 6-7 version android)?

What do you exactly mean? Both LineageOS and Cyanogen 13&14 are made basing on higher android versions than 5.1. My device isn't officialy in the supported devices lists either.

Sailfish OS (I have made Aliendalvik work on older version, latest CM13 base is a problem to run android apps, on older version 95% android apps work. On nexus 4 ALL 100% android apps work on sailfish OS with older CM11 base 2.0.5.6 version of sailfish. I have those packages if you'll need them), Ubuntu touch, Postmarket OS (Looks great uses much newer kernel version, but is unusable as daily driver and as phone at all), LuneOS, Firefox OS (This is dead for some years now)

Updating old S7 To latest stable version

Hi
I Received some old S7-930F Device.
Currently it is Rooted with custom SuperMan ROM, Running over Android 8.0.0.
Basically, I want to make sure phone is up-to-date as "much as possible" in terms of:
1. Is there any android update newer than Android 8, which is stable, for Galaxy S7?
I know there's beta by lineage based on Android 10, but looking for only stable version.
If there is - Can someone please share some guide / thread with updating instructions?
2. Is there any update to baseband version?
Currently the phone runs with G930FXXU2ERG2
If there is - where can I get it, and how to install it?
Much appreciated
Thanks
No theres not sorry

Last version of S7 firmware is FXXS6ESGD, get it of sam mobile or Samfirm tool. There's some good roms based on that, de bloated that run really well.

Lineage OS for Samsung Tab4, 7 inch, T231, 3G

Guys, I am new to this forum. My Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (7 inch) T231 is running on very old Android KitKat version 4.4.2. This is the last official OS update received. Many apps are not supported on this old android.
Please provide a stable Lineage OS version, ROM file link and whole process to install.
I will be ok with installing Lineage OS version 13 and above (i.e. Marshmallow 6 and above), which ever is most stable.
Thank you in advance.

Since you are new, a few words...
People may understand your request different, like one understands "is there some out there who can help me and how can I help..." and others may understand "give me that ROM, you are there to provide me stuff..." So better be slightly "overpolite".
Developers and development teams just share their work on XDA and improve it based on the feedback the users or other developers give them. We can be happy, that XDA is a big development hub and have to be very respectful. :good:
The Tab 4 is a very old device, in my case I just use it as a small power bank. Display resolution, RAM, system speed... however, developing may be suspended and you cannot expect newer custom ROM releases.
I will explain quickly because Galaxy tab 4 7.0 variants don't get support.
8.0 and 10.1 models have SD400 (msm8226) SoC, 7.0 has a Marvell for the wifi variant and an Exynos for 3G and LTE variants. And it's easier to work on qcom-powered devices
I'm gonna go ahead an do what nobody else here would and answer your question. And it indeed works because I did it just last night. Just follow the link below
