Recently I met with some issues with the WiFi of my phone. I am using the internet services of Acanac Inc. in Toronto. The WiFi connection is working fine with my laptop and tablet. But sometimes when I try to access the internet on my smartphones the pages are not getting loaded. What would be the reason behind this? Can somebody help me?
According to me, please do following things to solve out your query
1- Restore your mobile phone, may be some wrong setting applied
2- Contact with your internet service provider regarding this issue

Hi every one,
I bought my new captivate for ATT about 2 days back. The wifi connection worked fine and the internet was running on the first day. But from the second day, for the same wifi, even though it gets connected, the internet does work. None of the apps that require internet (browser, market, facebook etc.,) work. Also, the internet would work fine in my home network. So, does any body face the same issue? Or if any one out there know a solution for this? Please do let me know as i dont want to use much on 3g as i have a limited data plan.
Please do help me out guys. I guess there are more people facing the same problem. Please do respond if you got it fixed.
Ready to contribute if it is fixed.
Thanks
Hi guys,
I have a Virgin Media Hub (VMDG480) and 3x WP7, a HD7, a TITAN and a N 710.
I'm having some serious problems with connecting to the internet.
I connect to my WiFi and it works great, I can go to wherever I wish.
However when my phone locks it's screen and I try browsing again, it just fails, it says We're having trouble displaying this page.
I've restored my router to factory defaults.
I've hard reset my HD7.
I'm still having issues. Is anybody else having similar issues?
I don't really wanna call Virgin Media 'cos they're all useless and they will tell me that it's my devices.
Also, I just managed to load google after 2mins, and I checked my IP and it isn't the same external IP as my router. Do WP7 default to 3G if the WiFi connection fails?
:-(
Yes, WP7 will fall back to the cellular data connection if it's unable to access the requested server over WiFi. The fallback typically takes no more than 30 seconds, sometimes less.
Sorry, didn't even realise I had a reply.
Thanks for that answer, anybody else had issues with the Virgin Media hub and WP7?
I have purchased a Alcatel Onetouch Idol X+ very recently and I am facing this problem of slow DNS lookup when connected to WiFi. When I am using WiFi and trying to browse any website it always taking 20-40 seconds to start show up any content. Later I realized that problem is not there when I am using directly IP address of an website instead on domain name. So, this must be an issue with slow DNS lookup. I have tried setting google DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) in WiFi connection setting, but it is of no help.
To crosscheck this I used 'terminal emulator' to ping any website, what is see is that, always for resolving the domain dame it take 15-20 second time, then ping continues normal, similarly when I use any website IP to pinged there is no such issue.
Interestingly I found that sometimes when I connect to wifi then restart the phone, after that all browsing works fine and fast, but as soon as I change WiFi to another connection or turn wifi off-on, then again problem start to appear.
I have checked with few other phone connected to same WiFi connection, those are not at all having any such issue.
Can any one please tell any solution to this??
Android version is 4.2.2,
WiFi connection (which I am using) speed is more than 10mbps.
There is a thread here for your phone, though it is a ROM/Root thread. You could see if any other user with that phone has the same problem and has fixed it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451831
You could also ask in the Android Q&A which may be more effective than here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help
Hello everyone. I'm not sure if this is the correct spot for this issue but any help would be greatly appreciated. A few days ago I started having an issue with my Verizon HTC One M8 connecting to my home wifi. I have Comcast (Xfinity). I can connect to my home wifi but not all of the apps are working now for some reason. Music streaming apps like Slacker, Pandora and 93.7 The Beat no longer connects via my home wifi. Social sites like POF, OkCupid and MeetMe no longer connect either. I can surf the internet and watch Youtube videos with no problem. I have rebooted my modem and wifi router and phone and still no positive results. If I connect to Xfinity wifi, all of the apps work without issue. I haven't made any changes to my phone settings or router/modem settings. I am on the stock rom with S-Off and unlocked bootloader. I can continue to use the Xfinity wifi (although I don't know where it's coming from), but I'd like to use my home wifi (it is faster even though that's not an issue). I still have the unlimited data through Verizon so data use isn't an issue either but I'd like to use my wifi. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any help and once again, sorry if this thread is not in the correct spot in the forum.

Does you mobile data work? or just not work with google?
Maybe you have no APNs?
Maybe your mobile data runs too slow. Try to run it on 3G or 4G.:good:
