not sure if this is the right place to post this but im a little lost, i just bought an s4 and would like to root it, but i keep seeing these post say root for model i9500 and i9505 only or watever it may be, so my question is how do i know which one i have?

Check what it says under model number in Settings, More, About device.

As of now there is only one version for the Mi 4i, i.e LTE 16 GB. There is no news on any other version from xiaomi as of now.
