2G/3G not working: Version of Marshmallow B831 - Honor 6, 6 Plus Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. Earlier I had lollipop version of android on my Honor 6 phone. A month back, I upgraded to Marshmallow version B831. Since then, I am not able to connect to mobile data. 2G/3G is not working on my phone. Please let me know what should I do.
Also if I navigate to About Phone ->>Status, I can see that Mobile data state is saying as Disconnected.

I think you should back up and do a phone reset

Yes. Download the full update package, then download HuaweiUpdateExtractor
Then. Download Multi tool
And run. Select U to Unbrick. Follow the on-screen instructions to extract the required files from the UPDATE package downloaded. Copy to the Unbrick folder and continue the process. Your phone should be on lollipop at the end.

Is there any tutorial step by step to perform the downgrade process to Lollipop version?

Yes. There are a few in the forums

@iamsonal follow this if you don't want to use Multi Tool
Extract system.img, boot, img, cust.img, recovery.img from the UPDATE.APP using Huawei Update Extractor tool
Flash those files by first booting your device into fastboot mode, and then firing these commands:
Code:
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Remember that the command should be executed from the folder where these files are there.
After doing this do the three button update using that UPDATE.APP from which you extracted these files.

How to install Stock rom for bricked Android One by using 'Fastboot'? (Links updated)

Bricked your Android one?? Can't install or phone not getting detected by SP Flash tool? Don't worry. This is the common problem for many users including me. My phone was not getting detected by SP flash tool. I tried many ways so that my phone gets detected, but I failed. Then I read about the 'Fastboot' method and got success. Now I am sharing the whole method with you all.
At first you will need the Adb fastboot Programs only, Adb Driver, The device driver and the Stock ROM of android one.
Last but not the least, an android one with the bootloader unlocked.
Now you are ready lets begin with the procedure.
1) Extract the 'Adb fastboot Programs only' in a folder any where in the PC (Better make a folder in the desktop and extract there).
2) Install the drivers.
3) Extract the rom and then copy the 'system.img', 'userdata.img', 'boot.img', 'recovery.img', 'bootloader.img' and 'cache.img' to the 'Adb fastboot Programs only' folder.
4) Now turn on the phone by pressing the volume up and the power button simultaneously, which will bring you to the bootloader menu. There go to the fastboot option by pressing the volume up button and selecting it by pressing the volume down button. This will activate fastboot mode. Now connect the phone with the PC via USB.
5) Open the 'Adb fastboot Programs only' folder. There press shift key and right click and select 'Open command window here' option. Command prompt will open. Now there follow these simple commands.
6) i)
Code:
fastboot flash system system.img
press enter. When it completes........
ii)
Code:
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
press enter. When it completes........
iii)
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
press enter. When it completes........
iv)
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
press enter. When it completes........
v)
Code:
fastboot erase cache
press enter. When it completes........
vi)
Code:
fastboot flash cache cache.img
press enter. When it completes........
vii)
Code:
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
press enter.
viii)
Code:
fastboot reboot
press enter.
7) Now you are done. Wait for at least 10 mins. as the initial boot takes time.
If there is any problem let me know.
If I helped you press the "Thanks' button.
Will it work on any devices? I don't know where this bootloader is. I only have stock system recovery and everytime I flash i get error like "installation aborted " I also use spflash tools but it cant detect my phone. By the way can i use an option in my system recovery like "install using adb" to flash using your way?

Sorry for the late reply. May I know what is the model of your device? You will need to go to the fastboot mode.
Install using adb works only for .zip files not for .img files. And also there are separate codes for adb method. At first I need to know your device model.

So, its a tablet pc. Ok if you can get access to the bootloader menu then only my procedure is possible.Actually you do not need any CWM recovery for getting into the bootloader menu. It comes up when you switch on your device by pressing the volume up and the power button at the same time.

In this case u need factory image of the stock rom. Unfortunately the factory image of the Android 6.0 for Android One isn't still available. But u can flash android 5.1 factory image.
With all the above code just add " fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img "
I am providing the link of the factory image of android 5.1

Bricked Huawei Honor P6 H60-L04

Hello guys, i need your help to unbrick my phone. First of all what i did to brick it was to unlock the boot loader, then used the Honor 6 Multi Tool to get a Cwm on it with it, it was EMUI 3.1 in the choosing. After that my phone restarted and now its hung up at Honor sign, and i can only access Fastboot mode but not recovery. I tried already playing new flashes on it with cust, boot, system and recovery and got a update on my sd card but it didnt work, it doesnt recognize my update and still only shows the honor screen, can anyone help me? Much appreciated
I have the same problem as you... but i don't know the basic informations about the phone (like model , IMEI or other stuff)... so i need help to... THANKS
To successfully unbrick it, follow these exact steps and you'll be good to go.
Download your phone's latest firmware and extract system.img, boot.img, recovery.img, cust.img from UPDATE.APP using Huawei Update Extractor tool.
Flash recovery first, using this command.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Flash all other extracted files similarly firing these commands.
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash system system.img
After doing this put that very UPDATE.APP from which you extracted the files in dload folder of your external SDCARD.
Switch off your phone, and press Vol UP + Vol DOWN + Power button simultaneously.
Your device will now get to the full stock firmware.

Try to get the unlock code coz the message
Remote command not allowed
Is because of bootloader still being locked. There is a way if you can start a chat with honor representative and ask him to give you the code.
There is a unlock code calculator, use it.

Have you flashed the OEM info of L21 model?
Try flashing the 2nd file i.e. data file. Dont worry just put the file in dlaod and flash it. I was in same situation, and it was just a black screen while booting for 15 minutes. Flashed the 2nd file i.e. data file and it came up fine.

What was your earlier build number? If it was Nougat, you should flash only Nougat version and not B131 for L21 as it will be MM based.

Use files in reverse order.
First use this file
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1723/g223/v86601/f1/full/update.zip
Then http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...N-AL30_all_cn/update_full_BLN-AL30_all_cn.zip
I hope you are doing it correctly with first unzipping the zip files and then putting the contents in dload folder and use dload method. It will work

twrp is available only for ta-1032, sorry about that, you need to wait for someone to port it.

Oh, Ok I can see, I have to wait :/
is there any difference between ta-1028 and ta-1032 in TWRP view ?
it is easy to try just boot into recovery - "fastboot boot <recovery.img>"

i know that ta-1032 is for EU dual sim, ta-1028 is american single sim version but i think that there is no difference in hardware. he can try that command to see is that recovery works @xdrucsix
Steps:
first download twrp if you didn't
rename recovery to recovery.img and move it to platform-tools
open cmd as administrator
type location of platform-tools
boot to fastboot
type command
fastboot boot recovery.img
then you will see does it boot or not. twrp will disappear completely after you exit twrp.
I did every step that you say, nothing happened :/
something should definitely happen
at least show all fastboot.exe output during your tries

link for twrp
https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsmTb5aqoY12mDZqDZbPOp47QVMV
when downloaded, copy twrp to folder platform-tools and rename it to recovery.img
to type platform-tools location, type this:
chdir C:/Users/John/Desktop/platform-tools (this is just a example, you need to type your own location of platform-tools)
reboot to recovery
adb reboot recovery
then reboot to bootloader (fastboot) by pressing volume keys.
to flash recovery type this command:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
then reboot, fastboot reboot
if it didn't worked, use this command just to boot to twrp (you need to do this everytime when you are connected to PC)
fastboot boot recovery.img
To install root, first disable system modification on twrp then flash this zip for root.
This is not the latest version of SuperSU, but newest releases have some problems and crashes. (at least for me). This is last version that works for me.
That is it.

no, you can't have locked bootloader and root, after locking bootloader you need to reflash .nb0 file with OST because locking bootloader don't just remove data, it removes whole ROM.

[GUIDE] Fix device automatically rebooting after few seconds of booting.

If you are having a weird bootloop where the phone just reboots after few seconds of booting like shown here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YcWsWYQVGQ) then you're in the right place, here's how you can fix the issue.
Before proceeding make sure you know your risks as I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war and anything really.
Steps:
1) Download Mi Flash Tool and install it. (For the drivers, skip it if you have installed the drivers already)
2) Download and Install minimal ADB and Fastboot Tool, persist.img and temporary twrp.img links will be below.
3) Copy the persist.img to your internal storage.
4) Copy the recoveryxx.img to same folder where you've saved the minimal ADB/Fastboot tool.
4) Goto the minimal adb fastboot tool folder where you had put the recoveryxx.img
5) Open cmdhere.exe
6) Put your phone in fastboot mode (Volume - and Power)
7) Type the following commands:
- fastboot devices (you should something like this:
Fastboot dsad5454sfs, If not, re-install the the fastboot drivers correctly. )
- fastboot oem unlock (This is just for unlocking the bootloader you can just skip it if you have unlocked bootloader.)
- fastboot boot recoveryxx.img *(basically the filename of the image file.)
Now you will boot to the temporary twrp and once you're there follow these steps:
8) Open Terminal in TWRP Custom Recovery (go to “Advanced” > “Terminal”).
9) Type the following command:
- dd if=/sdcard/persist.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p27
10) Go to reboot and select system and that's it!
Voila!

Try other builds then, that occurs if the size of persist.img is different than what your partition allows. For most the August one should work.

Can I re-lock bootloader?
Hi,
Flashing the persist.img seems to have resolved the issue for me also, once I have completed the steps in the guide can I re-lock the bootloader?
I assume as we didn't flash TWRP and only booted into it temporarily should be fine?
Thanks
