AT&T is replacing my boot looping V10 with a G5 - AT&T LG V10

So yesterday my V10 (not-rooted) randomly froze and started boot looping. I tried the freezer trick where you put the phone in the freezer for an hour or two to get most of my data off the phone but i could never get it to stay on long enough to get all my apps backed up. Nonetheless, I contacted Att and asked if i could possibly get a new model. Initially the agent said no, but then said she could offer me an LG G5 or a LG G Flex 2. I was really surprised. But to be honest both of those devices are nothing compared to the v10's video features, the main reason i got this phone. So I asked if I could possibly try the phone for a couple days before keeping it. And guess what, she said yes, I can try it for 14 days. I was pretty happy with Att customer service and can't wait to try the G5 although I will definitely be returning it in 14 days because the G5 is in no way better than the V10 in my opinion.
Just wanted to share my experience in case anyone else has their V10 stop working in the future.

Are you on a contract plan or something else? Some words of caution: check your bill for extra charges, upgrade fees, etc. Confirm they did not tack on a 2 year contract or add you to the NEXT plan. If you decide to not keep the phone, make sure you are not charged a restocking fee.

Same...after 2 replacement V10s...first one bootlooped within a week, the second had network connectivity issues. I'm so sad. The G5 is def not as good as the V10 but it isn't as bad as I thought it would be and the gold is a plus. I would get the V20 if I already wasn't in a next plan from the V10. Btw the G5 doesn't affect my next plan. Same payments and same amount still due.
P.S. the first G5 AT&T sent had wifi problems. It wouldn't stay on. And when it finally gave up on trying to turn it on and off on it's own, it just shut off and restarted. If I manually turned the WiFi off then it didn't toggle by itself, it stayed off and didn't cause the phone to restart. Weird. The second one is working fine though. Thought that was weird as I haven't found anyone else with that problem.

Sensational Lemon!!!

My first post!!!!!!
I upgraded to the Sensation from the Mytouch 4G (I got lucky and got a FULL upgrade after only 5 months!!!!)(After 11 years with Voicestream/Tmobile I finally got something!!).... anyway as soon as I turned it on there were problems. It was not smooth at all and very jerky and unresponsive. Would not switch from WiFi to cell network (had to force it). So...I did my first reset (soft). Still not very responsive....second reset (hard). Still not responsive and jerky. Replaced SD card.....and BAM it works.
Then comes the next day.... won't switch to cell network without asking it nicely. Then again unresponsive and very slow. GPS not working, won't lock on anything. So another hard reset. BAM...working???
Then tried to make a call....press the #3 button, and nothing, nothing for 5 seconds later... it finally acknowledges I pressed the #3.
Call AmazonWireless and overnight a replacement.....
The funny part is I ordered 2 Sensations..One for me and one for the wife. Hers gets delivered overnight, mine 2 days. Her works freaking' AWESOME!!! Mine is a BIG LEMON!!!
2 BIG issues with this phone. First.. the death grip is not even a grip. Just place one finger along the back top edge and WiFi dies. I have issues watching youtube without killing WiFi. Second, no bluetooth voice dial. Known issue should be fixed in an upcoming release.
Amazon gave you a full upgrade after 5 mos on a 2-yr contract? How did you get past the upgrade qualification checker? Did TMO somehow give Amazon a pass?
Amazon did it right by overnighting a replacement. My phone died completely and TMO is making me send them the phone, and once they receive it I have to call them to request a new one. Will take over a week to get the replacement. Not good service.
That sucks to hear. Any phone can be a lemon from any manufacturer. I hope your 2nd device behaves the way mine does, if so you'll love it.
This upgrade is kinda a funny story. I have 3 lines and called Tmobile to ask about an upgrade for my third line (my son). Rep said it did not qualify for an upgrade yet...... but your other 2 lines do qualify!!! My first thought was must be a mistake...so I said Thanks and hung up.
I jumped online and logged into my account and hit the upgrade button...sure enough it showed a FULL upgrade.
I went to AmazonWireless and went thru the process and it also said I qualified. I immediately ordered 2 HTC Sensations....I didn't even have to think, I knew I had to get the Sensation. Great phone and even better reviews!!

Ok, I was just curious. It's good to be lucky.
sorry to hear i just switched mine with same issues got one made after june works perfect im so happy now!
man Im lucky, not problem one. Yet... Only 2 days of use though.

here is an option.

This is info for people in the same boat i am.
Please this is info i have not seen and thought would be helpful to some.
ok.
I just got off the phone with tmobile.
again they acted surprised that my g2x had problems
but i told them i could not see paying a bill for a phone sitting on the table that was unusable to me since it had several problems i needed to carry my other phone so why carry 2.
they offered to lower my data plan so it would be cheaper
I said i had no problem waiting for the update since i do have another phone but could not see paying for it at the same time.
i asked if they had something similair to verizon where i could suspend my account until the update came out.
after there times they finally admitted there was one.
I do have to say they were very polite.
*********so if you have another phone or service and stuck as i am at this current time. you can suspend your account for up to 90 days. it costs 10 dollars per 30 days to do this but 30 dollars over 3 months is better than 270.
by than they should either have the phone working or have to admit it will never work. or at least gives 90 days to have the bbb or someone help you get out of this.
I know this is really only good for someone with another phone but thought i would let people know that may not.
Hope this is worthwhile to some*************************

[WARNING] PMA Wireless Charging defective on LG G3

As many of you know, the AT&T LG G3 is not like the rest of the G3's when it comes to wireless charging. The AT&T unit uses the PMA standard and not the QI type chargers.
Unfortunately after spending a few hundred dollars on wireless chargers and 2 Quick circle cases, I have discovered that the charging unit on the phone is defective.
I purchased 3 Duracell Power-mat chargers along with 2 quick circle cases.
First LG G3 with Circle case charged fine for the first day then failed. I guessed it might have been the case so I purchased new case and tried the new case on a new Power-mat - The phone did not charge. No charging light, no charging animation
I exchanged my LG G3 at best buy and tested the wireless charging in store - and the existing cases and the new LG G3 charged just fine.
After 24 hours the phone stopped charging... I tested my iPhone 4 and the battery packs and on the Power-mat and both charged fine.
Once again I exchanged the phone and used the new Circle case to charge - this time the wireless charging worked for a couple days and again this morning it stopped working.
I went back to best buy and was able to confirm that the circle case and the power-mats are all working and its the actual phone that has stopped working for the third time. 3 phones out of 3 phones have failed after no more than 48 hours using wireless charging - I have also noticed that others in the non-branded LG forum are having the same issues with the PMA charging.
I contacted LG and the lady wants me to send in my phone and be left with out a phone for a couple weeks so that they can repair it and see if there is anything wrong with it.
Please chime in if you are having the same issue.
Equipment involved in testing:
3 x LG G3 (AT&T) - all three failed
2 x LG G3 Quick Circle Case for AT&T - both still functioning and work on new AT&T LG G3's
3 x Duracell Powermat - All three still work with iPhone 4 and Galaxy s3 with case
Contact information for LG

Thats something.
Your Canadian neighbors are using pma too.
Maybe lg finally realizes PMA IS JUNK.
I cant even find a pma case here in canada.
Always have to look at AT&T case.
I .... AT&T. Don't need there logo on my phone

Thanks for starting the thread!!!
I gave ya thanks also. I talked to Customer Service yesterday at AT&T and I have to now bring my phone to a repair shop to Tuesday due to the Holiday. I talked to the repair center and they said that basically that I will have to be sent a new phone, because although the person I talked to believed me she said she would have to call att to get me a new phone sent because they don't stock the LG G3 obviously. It sucks that I am gonna have to flash my phone back to stock and what not. Obviously there is a major problem with the phone and Powermat charging. I hope LG figures it out and its just a hardware fix. Maybe something is tripping software wise and blocking it from charging. I would almost bet its software because it seems like it wants to connect when you first place it on the mat it makes a sound then disconnects. AT&T put something in the software and the hardware of the phone to block QI charging so I guess they didn't do enough testing with the software to block the QI on the ATT phone. I think it's ridiculous to force someone to use Powermat and not give you the option to choose because ATT is part of the powermat alliance or whatever the crap the group is called. The only way powermat will take off is if the i-sheep include it as a feature in the Iphone 6. It is rumored that NFC may be on the Horizon for the new Iphone and you can bet your ass if they add wireless charging it will be that powermat crap. The only good thing is we will see accessories out the azz for powermat if iphone got wireless charging.
Anyways Great thread 5*
Leroy
I was on the phone with ATT for an hour to get a replacement. They said since the phone charges correctly with the cord it wasn't anything wrong with the phone. I had to speak to a supervisor as well as an LG rep to tell ATT it was a hardware issue and that it was covered under warranty just to get a refurbish phone sent to me. Looking at this I want to send back the referb and keep my original phone knowing its bound to happen again. Maan this sucks. I like my wireless charging.
I picked up the LG Quick view case and powermat charger from Att store 2 weeks ago. No issues at all except I noticed my battery life was cut in half. Not sure why but I quit using them both and battery is back what it was. Both are going on Ebay.
Well the day i click the link on to read this forum is the day my wireless charging stopped, this must be a software issue cause how can it just stop right out of the blue, I'm blaming this thread for stopping my wireless charging when i read it lol, seriously there must be a way to get it to work. Is it confirmed that it is the phone and not the case? I was wirelessly charging for about a month.

Neverends,
Where were those other generic threads you were talking about that people were starting to have the same problems? I am just trying to do more research but have yet to find any other threads discussing this same problem. On another note I guess 2moro I will get another phone ordered, heck maybe I should wait because I would hate to keep blowing thru phones if it ends up being a software issue.
can you try a factory reset? I have a feeling this issue is like so many other little quirks of the phone (things that just stop working all of a sudden) and it's a software issue (like the Aux cable issues)

I was gonna do that b4 calling ATT back. I have read that it didn't help in another thread. I am rooted so I have got to flash back to stock anyways. I bought a new router and tried flashing dd wrt on it so it's got My phone flashing behind today already. I will report back after I get it flashed back to factory settings though.

I had the same exact issue. Worked fine for a month and then all of a sudden one day stopped working for no apparent reason. I tried factory resetting and this did not work. Had to fight with AT&T to replace the phone as they just don't get it. Finally was replaced and works fine again. Let's see how long it lasts this time...

Apparently there is some competent people that work there. I actually got someone that knew about the issue. He remoted into my phone and looked for a reading and said yep I see there is an error with your wireless charging. I played stupid and am glad I flashed back to factory.
oh ya by the way going back to stock no root did not fix anything lol. Anyways the rep got me a new phone shipped out no hassle or problems at all.
He actually told me that they knew what was wrong and said that it isn't going to affect many people because a lot of people are not going to wireless charge if there is any truth to that, but that an update would not be pushed out for awhile for the fix. He said the new phone that they are sending me will not stop charging. Anyways we will see how that goes.

Wait a min so someone for at&t said this? And how did they remotely connect to it and check if the wireless charging works or if it shows and error cause that would actually help to pinpoint if its hardware or software, from the looks of it its faulty software that screws up the hardware cause if they send that ota and it doesn't work on phones that stopped wireless charging then it sucks. Hope that when that fix comes it restores phones that had the issue. That rep just answered one question but opened the door to a whole lot more.

That he did but from his choice of words which I could not by no means quote verbatim, he acted like it was software that messed up the hardware. He did get on my phone remotely because I had to give him access. It was pretty neat a little great play button overlay came up in the middle of my phone and stated an agent can see my screen. You know in the end your right...all he did was give me a reason to ask more questions but I had way much to do and still do than to talk to him. If my new phone bugs out then I am gonna have to make time to find out.
From my experience with multiple phones and multiple cases, I do not believe it is a software issue... I believe the actual hardware fails.... I do think see how restoring using LG flash tools would not resolve a software glitch

Fyi there is an att remote service installed on these phones by default so yes they can remote in. Ugh this blows as it just happened to me.

But no means do I actually know what's going on but anything is possible. It could be a situation where a software setting being set wrong could has caused a piece of hardware to short out. Ex: The software setting for allowed voltage was set to high and shorted a resistor for the hardware that controls wireless charging voltage and when the rep remotes into my phone he saw a reading of "null". So to sum up a software problem caused irreversible hardware damage.
One thing I can say indefinitely is the rep I dealt with said there was a memo on it and when he remotes into My phone he immediately within 30 seconds found what he was looking for and confirmed I needed a replacement phone. He then said it was a software problem that couldn't be corrected at the time.
I just hope the New phone I get is corrected, as he assured me it would. Who knows if it will. I hope whatever the cause LG and AT&T either finds the solution or have already.
Interesting, this insinuates a software change on the refurbished handset. Are you going to end up with a different build number? How long till it shows up in official builds? (These are just out loud musings.) Sorry to hear that there's yet another poor implementation on this phone. I think they were trying too hard to get out in front of Apple's announcement and the IFA.

When it gets here you bet I will go thru it with a tooth in a comb to see if there is any difference maybe they actually changed a piece a hardware in the New one to compensate for a software deficiency. If it stays fixed I am sure we will find out the truth way later or possibly never.
One thing the rep did say is that if there is a software update it would be a while because not a lot of people were utilizing the wireless charging.

LG V10 Boot Loop of Death

As We Knw ... The LG V10 might have the same bootloop problem as the G4
However now we are hearing that Alot of the LG V10 users are suffering from the same issues with the bootloop as owners of the LG G4 suffered. Many owners of the handset went onto Twitter and Facebook to vent their frustration.
It is said that the only fix that has been effective to date is to put the handset into the freezer or put it in an oven with the oven on minimal heat. It seems that pulling the battery or doing a factory reset doesn’t help.
Unlike the LG G5 where owners only suffered from boot loops in the earlier batches, this time around it has been said that the problems with the V10 arrived ten months after the release of the device. The only good news is that the handsets are under warranty.
"Lately, many of us experienced bootlooping devices. LG had a similar problem with the G4 and it took months until the acknowledged the problem officially and offered uncomplicated repairs. Talking to LG they said it was not yet publicly released that there was a problem with the V10 too "
see on Reddit : https://www.reddit.com/r/lgv10/comments/4yao1s/v10_bootloop_please_report_in_this_sticky_thread/
so if u want sign this Petition : https://www.change.org/p/lg-electro...=des-lg-petitions_share-no_msg&fb_ref=Default
With all the reports of bootloop, it sure seems like more than 5 people would've signed the petition by now!

mine too . hardware failure. sudden death. i tired putting it in the freezer for 24 hours like i read on one thread and it worked. but after few hours went back to its final death ;(
I'm curious If motherboard was exchanged after Boot Loop is the problem solved or should I be aware of repeating the problem in the near future
Mine just died too after a year. Stuck on LG logo and won't boot.
H960AY model, MB replaced under warranty
Mine just died yesterday, two months out of warranty. I was a moderate (about twice a month) user of battery waster too (which will get a phone hot).
It happened seemingly out of nowhere too. I had it charging for about an hour unplugged it and launched Monster Legends and the screen went black. I had to unplug the battery to get it turned on and then it started looping. It wasn't even hot, it was warm but no where near what it has been in the past.
I put it in the freezer for 5 minutes and it worked briefly after so I figured it was the dreaded boot loop.
I went to tmobile and they gave me 200 credit (they were aware the phone was broke) and I was able to jump to the v20 for 100.
Seeing as the specs are nearly identical it wouldn't be too far out to say that this phone has enough similarities that the G4 problem jumped to the v10.
My manufacturer date was Nov 2015, LG didn't officially acknowledge the soldering issue of the G4 until Jan 2016 so hopefully those of you with a manufacturer date past Jan 2016 will be safe.
Only reason i picked the v20 is because of the capacity, low amount of junkware and removable battery. If it wasnt for that i would have gone back to Samsung, I might still do that when the note 8 comes out.
What really urks me is that the problem came out of left field without any warning so I wasn't able to backup if I needed to. Fortunately google backs up my media automatically so it wasnt a huge loss for me.

So, I've had my V10 since it's release on AT&T. Just went into the death loop, same as my wife's G4, hers was replaced under warranty and got the V20. Mine however was not under insurance do to a military deployment and they never added it back. I got a S7 active, anyway. Still at almost 2 years old LG WILL replace the board inside and return it to working condition, just Google LG repair, leave the purchase date blank, it being a known defect they have to replace it regardless of age. You will loose root, because it will come back with 6.0+ on it.
Good luck to everyone I am not planning on owning another LG after this, back to Samsung for me.

Interesting I've heard horror stories about people turning their phones in and then having problems getting status updates or having to wait a month (or longer) to get the phone back.
Of course at the same time people are more likely to complain about it than to compliment.
I was going to send my v10 in but I decided to turn it in to mobile broken and get 200 credit so it ended up costing 104 to update to the v20. I just couldn't afford to go without a phone for a week let alone a month.

To freeze or bake to revive from bootloop?
Hello everyone, i just received the bootloop of death on my v10 3 days ago & i am seeing where the home remedies worked for many people. I am going to stick a new, fully charged battery in my phone & then try one of these remedies. I need it to stay on long enough to back up my 2,500 photos... does anyone know if putting it in the freezer or oven makes it stay on longer than the other? & also how long did you freeze/bake your phones?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!!
If the faulty solder connection is really the reason why this happens I would imagine baking it could potentially actually fix the problem by melting the solder to make a solid connection.
A buddy at work fixed his playstation by setting a blow dryer to hot and putting it on the solder I am not sure where the loose connection is so I wouldn't know if this method would work without knowing where to aim it.
The freeze method works but it worked for about 5 minutes for me but I only put it in for 10 minutes so it might work longer if you put it in longer.
I would just be careful with the bake method and make sure you take out the battery! Also wouldn't put it up too high.

Thank you i am going to try putting my phone in a ziplock bag & placing it in the freezer. After 15minutes i will insert the battery & try to turn it on while it's plugged into my computer & if it works i'll leave it plugged in while in the freezer to do a backup. If not i plan on putting the motherboard pannel in the oven...
Will be my last LG
I got the bootloop of death late last month. After reading about baking and freezing stories, decided to no bother, stored most things on the SD card anyway. Changed all of my account passwords to be safe. Got it in November of 2015. Verizon was no help. Called LG, said they had extended the V10 warranty by three months from the build date, which means that I missed the cut off by three weeks. Fortunately I have a SquareTrade warranty, got it fixed in less than a week. Also had them replace the screen because of the screen burn/retention issue. Probably my last LG, there's no excuse.
I've just got mine back. after the warranty the phone just froze and and restarted and then it doesn't go anywhere after boot screen. I've sent it to the service center and it is out of warranty and they said it was the MainBoard that need to be changed and that thing cost a lot, luckily, there's this super cool lady from the Philippines and from that invoice after receiving the faulty device she' said that for you to save i will mention here it is still under warranty and "wallah" got the phone back mainboard replaced and paid nothing.
Since it seems to be heat related I wonder if qc2 is a contributing factor since qc2 cannot adjust power output instead the extra juice is dissipated as heat.
Both g4 and v10 have quick charge it's interesting these are the two phones affected by the issue the most.
Sent from my LG-H918 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
It is not true that quick charge 2.0 does not have temperature control. It has such mechanism. I have seen the phone to reduce the charge rate for example during a hot summer day or if i use the phone while charging. Problem here i think can be solved by 2 different things.
1. Too much heat generated by the hot snapdragon 808 chipset (common component between G4 and V10).
2. Component on the motherboard that got screwed after some moths of usage.
It will be very useful if everybody having the problem shares the date of manufacturing of his phone and date when he bought it. It can be seen easily from the "LG phone from" program in google play. This way we can isolate if the problem appears only with certain (early?) batches or is consistent with late too. Mine is manufactured at the middle of january 2016 and i bougt the phone in march. So far i did not have any problem but as i see problems start to appear after 10 to 12 moths of usage so it may appear every moment.
Does anybody suffer bootloop after he/she changed motherboard ?

It is not true that quick charge 2.0 does not have temperature control. It has such mechanism. I have seen the phone to reduce the charge rate for example during a hot summer day or if i use the phone while charging. Problem here i think can be solved by 2 different things.
1. Too much heat generated by the hot snapdragon 808 chipset (common component between G4 and V10).
2. Component on the motherboard that got screwed after some moths of usage.

Yesterday I came across two LG V10s that had bootlooped. Both were H961N models and doing a quick check by using its IMEI, I found the manufacturing dates of both the phones being October and November of 2015 respectively.
Mine is also the H961N but produced in January of 2016. Fingers crossed.
I just got mine back today. Looking at the email they sent me about the phone it was a capacitor that failed. Before sending it in I put the phone near a fan with the back cover and battery removed and it booted up for a second before dying. I am also out of warranty by a year and they still took it in for free. Just leave the date blank. So the freezer method does work, but it has to be kept cool or it will shut off again.

An open letter to LG in regards to the V10 bootloop issue

I've just sent this email to a Mr. Cho, but I'd like to post it here as well, just in case I didn't send it to the correct email address. Also, so that if anyone would like to add anything, they can, and hopefully someone from LG will see this.
Mr. Cho,
First let me begin with how much I loved my LG V10. I first bought it for the camera but then fell in love with it for everything else it had. The only thing I could really complain about was how big it was.
Then, a little over a month after having the phone I started having issues with my charger. After going through 5 chargers during the next month I realized it wasn't just "cheap" chargers. I never saw where LG announced charger port issues for the V10, instead, they offered charging cases/docks for the battery. So I had to buy a charging case and another battery so that I could actually use my phone while the battery charged. To be fair, though, I soon realized this really wasn't that much of an inconvenience since I never had to keep my phone attached to a chord.
I got my phone in December. Had charger port issues a month later and then in May, just 5 months after having the brand new phone, it randomly turned off and refused to get past the LG logo when booting up.
After some research I found that issue is called a "boot loop". The same issue other LG phones have had. There was nothing AT&T could do for me. I had just signed a contract five months prior. I couldn't get out of it. So I'm stuck paying $23 a month for a phone I can't even use.
Every time that I called your customer service, everyone was very unhelpful. The first guy I spoke with was completely rude. He was no help and in fact put the blame on AT&T. He said that they were the ones who released the Marshmallow update, so they are the ones who are the blame and who need to fix my phone. Let me back up a bit and explain his reasoning for this. One week prior to my phone going into boot loop, AT&T released the Marshmallow update that all of us LG V10 owners had been waiting on. When my phone messed up I took it to the AT&T warranty center. They informed me that they've seen this issue a lot with the LG G4, and they've also seen it when there are software updates. Because of those last added words your customer service rep decided that's when AT&T took blame for my phone going in boot loop.
So, many times over the next few months I called AT&T and LG many times (even at one point I was on the phone with LG and Android/Google). I visited the warranty center many times, too. At the last visit to the warranty center they told me that just in that day alone they had 3 people come in with boot loop issues (though not V10s but G4s). I asked him what did they do for the customers. They said that all they could do was have the customer either take out an insurance claim or warranty claim. So, people who's warranty was voided but they had insurance had to pay their deductible to get a new phone. They are literally paying for an issue that's not their fault.
Oh wait, I forgot to mention this part, LG will fix my phone if I pay them to fix my cracked screen first, because having a cracked screen voids the warranty. So, let me get this straight, in order to have my phone fixed (which from what I've read, it doesn't get fixed, you get a new phone all together), from a problem that I did not cause, from a problem that was unforeseeable, I have to pay to fix an unrelated problem, because LG doesn't do partial repairs (that has been burned into my head by numerous of your CSRs)?
Also, every time that I spoke with one of your customer service reps they told me that not enough people are reporting the issue enough for it to be considered a "common" problem for LG to release a statement and fix. You might want to do a Google search and see how many people have posted on forums and videos of this issue, it has grown. In fact, there are at least two petitions in regards to the V10.
So tell me, because I've voided the warranty I'm stuck in a contract with a phone that broke on it's own (be it caused by software problems or faulty craftsmanship), is there not anything in my contract saying that if something unforeseeable happens to the phone (something that's not the customer's fault, but more so the manufacturer's) that LG is responsible for fixing or replacing that phone? Do you honestly believe that LG shouldn't fix this issue, or that they shouldn't pay for all those months that their customers have paid for a phone they haven't been able to use (mine is going 5 months), and that they shouldn't have to reimburse those who had to take out insurance claims because their phone was stuck in a mode they had nothing to do with? Do you not think LG should take accountability for any of this? I've seen a few petitions to get LG to do something, I'm very surprised I haven't seen a class action lawsuit yet.
I look forward to hearing back from you in regards to what you plan on doing for my situation, and hopefully all of others who have suffered from this same problem.
Jamie Boyd
PS
Life's not Good, not with these kind of issues. Also, I'll be posting this letter on a few forums, we'll be awaiting your response.

I'm having those issues too and I hope he's gonna take this letter seriously, or else I'm done with LG..
Can you post here his reaction?
I've never heard of this charging port issue. The bootloop I've read all about though, but never experienced it. I hope they do you right for that one. I had the V10 for a year and the micro USB port was still nice and tight. Just got the V20.

Are the charging port and bootlooping related... ? If not is there a known reason it boot loops... ? I recently had my v10 bootloop, I caved bought a cheep cracked screen v10 off ebay and swapped the mb out by myself. Everythings fine now, just worried I'll have another boot loop... At least this time I won't lose ALL my data... I had messed up my sd card slot putting my sim card in... Long story short...
Any response?? I really wish there was a true "fix" considering I have irreplaceable photos and videos trapped in my LG V10 forever due to this issue!!!!!!

The best thing you can do is heat it (in hopes the solder will reconnect by melting) or freeze it so you can turn it on long enough to run a backup. Please see the videos on heating the device you can cause some serious damage if you do it wrong.
This is why people should either use their external sdcard for video/photo storage or use Google photos to backup your photos on a regular basis.
