My Phone's softkeys are not working at all. It glows but dont work.
Touchscreen is also not working, Everytime I had to lock screen by power button then after unlocking the touchscreen works for 2-3 touches....then again I had to lock screen.
I tried to flash MIUI 5.6, ICS CM9 v6, v7 but same issue.
Now flashed the Stock DDKP3, but issue still persists.
Plz Help me If someone can.....Pleaseeee !!!
I guess there is some fault in the touchscreen.. A hardware issue.. Better show it in Samsung service center.. I don't think there can be a software prob as u have tried all ROM's..

Wow, another user with the same issue.
Mine is just a wild guess that kernel 2.6.x may be a cause of the problem. ie after shifting to ICS.
Im waiting for kernel 3.0 before visiting service center. Gonna cost Rs.5K man.
i wasnt on ICS..
had stock rom with cf-root, deodexed, and a few mods!!
check out ebay for the touch panel! its there for about $28, im thinking of getting one down!

Opening the device will void your warranty completely.
There's a high chance that you ruin something else in the process, phone hardware is very delicate, so i suggest letting a professional do it..

Look at this post.
There also it is mentioned that trying differenet kernels for CM9 may damage the Touchkeys.
Anyhow......I also had to visit Service center, but after Flashing Stock DDKP3 I regained my warranty, so It saved me my 5k as you told.

WRONG again, it doesn't affect the touch keys hardware wise, it may just affect how it works for that kernel and ROM only, not the hardware, what he changed there is that touch keys only light up according to ambient light, while other kernels don't use that so it just messes that up.
CM9 has nothing to do with ruining your touch keys, it's a hardware issue, stop playing smart with it, only way to fix it is the good ol' service center haha
I had the same problem...soft keys not working...tried many roms but no use...
I am from kerala .a place In south india...I took it to a shop in penta meneka ..they said the display is fine..the small touch sensitive strip beneth the soft keys need to be changed..its worth just 500 rupees.....the moment I heard it I felt relaxed coz changing the slcd display is not an option for me....
If any of you have the same problem ..take the phone to a local mobile service store..
Today I will check the cost with orginal samsung customer care and service shop.lets hope they will change the strip and not the display...

Service center if under warranty (free), other shops if not for a cheap alternative.

I am facing the same problem, In my case touch screen is working fine. Problem is only with touch key. I have also bought this phone from Penta Meneka. What people at Samsung service centre told you about this? Is you problem is resolved? Please reply
Hey, i just replaced my touchscreen and digitizer.. and the soft key prob still insists, i studied it and i have came to a conclusion that the KEYPAD FLEX CABLE might be broken. Luckily, the flex cable costs around $20
I just wasted $83 on my new touchscreen tsk

hi guys. my touch screen and soft keys doesnt work too. but in xxkpe rom, they works perfectly. but any 2.3.6 roms doesnt work. try xxkpe(2.3.4) rom then if it doesnt work, go to service center.
Hi,I have an Asus TF300T tablet pc. This pc has ghost touch problem. I don't have any screen guard. Some of roms I have this problems mostly. Is anyone has any idea how can i fix it?
It's not the ROM, but an hardware issue.

no,my screen is clean. I think it is a hardware issue but i don't know exactly what kind of problem it is.
Some people claim it's a loose connector.

It could be a number of things. You could try recalibrating the firmware for the touchscreen. There's a thread that talks about replacing the LCD. Anytime you replace the LCD you have to recalibrate the firmware for the new screen, so they also talk about recalibrating the firmware. Just do a lot of reading and you can find it. Sorry I'm on my phone or I'd link you.
Top screen doest not respond G920FXXU2COH2
I made an update yesterday for the French firmware (BOGS TO COH2) android 5.1.1 especially to solve this problem. My screen works perfectly but the top of it doesn't work when I tap. I downloaded a multitouch app. And I found that the swipe works perfectly if I came from the bottom. So I think that it is a software problem.
Some permanent solution?
Edit: rebooting the phone solves the problem for a while.

Hey,
I had a similar problem. Maybe the solution of -JFK- will work for you.

I have it too, it appears sometime after a reboot.
But you just have to switch the screen off and on to make it work.
I have no explanation...
Does anyone feel this phone's touch sensitivity not good ? I sometimes touch on the screen and it didn't feed back ! don't know if its' a sofware bug or the phone has problem?

Same here, taps won't register sometimes only until you scroll a page a bit first.
Definitely a software bug.

Hopefully soon, I have updated to version MHA-L29C432B126 two days ago, but nothing has changed for this problem.
I'm using chinese version and have updated to latest build 137 but nothing has changed ! It's quite annoying for an expensive phone like this

You're right, we hope in the seriousness of Huawei!!!
I'm with MHA-L29C432B126 and i have the same feeling specially on Mate 9 sides left and right , it doesn't do anything when pushing an icon, i'm obliged to use navigation icons to get an answer.
It's software problem
As they wanted to make that phone doesn't react to accidentally touch, and as is something new, it's not perfect. Probably will be fix soon or later.
I don't know if just some phones meet this problem or this is a software bug that can appears on any phone?

Taking off the pre installed screen protector might help
Nope...I just peel off screen protector but just same problem..mate9 sides left and right not sensitive.
Yup, same problem, especially near the edges/corners.
Should be a software problem and hopefully it will be fixed.
Unfortunately I've discovered the same. Touch sensitivity is letting this phone down. In the middle of a game touch suddenly doesn't want to work when using a finger touch joystick, and just when I need it most! This sucks! We should not be having problems with this touch screen. It's fundamental. I love the phone but If this one thing is not fixed I'm sending the phone back. I can't have it fail on me.

Not only that, Facbook and youtube apps sometimes glitch out for some reason due to bad optimization. Hope huawei will fix this by updating.
I've encountered this only when using Solid Explorer, but I agree and think it's a software issue

Anyone installed B135?

That's concerning touch screen is basic and shouldn't have these problems.
I was looking to buy this but after reading it has touch issues I think I'll wait.
Q few months afo i replaced my G3 Screen as old one was broken and after updating it to M.M stock rom or even flashing some other M.M + roms touch is not working from staring after ph boot up.
But when i go down to L.P it work perfectly....
Any one can help....

Yup... need a Moto OEM touchscreen, half of the third party ones, typically the cheaper ones, don't work on Marshmallow. We still don't understand why, but it's been a thing for quite a while.

This is a known issue... we don't know why for sure, but some non-OEM replacement touchscreens do not work with anything but Lollipop... And we don't know how to make it work other than replacing it with an Moto OEM touchscreen or one that is of high quality.

I am interesting why devs dont wanna implement l.mretus synaptics driver in all newer android or custom distributions than lollipop knowing this!
Its really strange , Lenovo is doing nothing in this case but devs could do..but they have conviced that its working(newer driver) for them but its not heh if something is good for everyone..why we can't use it?

Because it creates other potential issues for minimal gain I assume. I can't really answer that question definitively.

Does the screen blank (turn off) when you hold it up to your ear? If so, I do that know, if it doesn't you have a proximity sensor issue and the device needs to be repaired/replaced.

So what is the issue then? If the screen is off it shouldn't be recognizing any touches... or am I misunderstanding the problem?

I'll explain........the problem is when i am making a call and not holding it to my ear (Or it hapens in the time gap between dialing and holding it to my ear)........same thing happens in the case of incoming call, that is i cant pick the incoming call(either the screen freazes or the ghost touch automatically" Decline" my call).
I am attaching a link down here........please have a look at it........ it is a screen recoded video during an incoming call.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_yXW_DztkJ7Nkt2NlBLQmpQR2M/view?usp=drivesdk
NOTE ( i didn't touch the screen while recording........the whole thing happens automatically)
Thanks
