Agree on the dirty screen.. Happens to me too. I just need to wipe it clean

no,my screen is clean. I think it is a hardware issue but i don't know exactly what kind of problem it is.
Some people claim it's a loose connector.

It could be a number of things. You could try recalibrating the firmware for the touchscreen. There's a thread that talks about replacing the LCD. Anytime you replace the LCD you have to recalibrate the firmware for the new screen, so they also talk about recalibrating the firmware. Just do a lot of reading and you can find it. Sorry I'm on my phone or I'd link you.

Hi,
My touch screen of my HTC chacha doesn't work well.
Is a driver problem ? I tried several ROm as CyanogenMod, Stock Plus, Void, and I've the same problem.
How Can I fix it?
Thanks for your help
hardware issue
i tried those ROMS too, it was working perfect for me..
maybe a hardware issue?
Can you be more specific?
Maybe you should get it back to stock and get it for warranty. Sounds like you have a ground problem. Heard it on another forum with another phone, but basically, if the ground pin of you phone isn't properly connected, the screen won't work like it should.
Hope this helps.
Thanks everyone ....
It's sporadic. Shoud it comme from the battery?
I don't have the HTC invoice as it's buying second hand

Not sure... Maybe someone could check it for you? And yeah, it comes from the battery... It's the middle pin if i'm correct... Might also be a bad contact on your battery from oxydation...

In waiting I put money into a new battery. I already remove the HtcLockScreen.apk, but now it's the lock screen by default of Android which is tacking the place of the older.
That's boring because the touch screen doesn't work well. I would like a lock screen which a password code or something else like this for bypassing the touch screen access.
Do you know how to remove it?
lockscreen problem
for the lockscreen problem could you use an app called 'widget locker lockscreen'
here is the link (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker)
I installed Lock Off, that's solve my slider problem.

But That doesn't solve the touch screen problem........

It could be a digitizer problem as it is unlikely that you are running a custom rom. Try factory resetting the phone if this doesn't fix the problem you might need a replacement digitizer.

I have problem with my autofokus.
Sometimes my camera is not focusing at all.
Only thing that helps is tapping on the side of the phone.
What do you guys think, is it a hardware problem?
Do i need to replace my phone?

Hey all,
I'm having a few issues with my multitouch. Firstly using a multitouch app it picks up all of the fingers a different inputs but they flicker unless you're moving your hand around, so it's impossible to use it for games and such. I'm fairly certain that this is a hardware issue. Although it doesn't seem like it's completely broken as I can still register multiple touches, its just impossible to have continuous multiple touches. Any idea on how to fix this?

It should still be under warranty if you haven't rooted it. So I guess you should take advantage of it.
Sounds like the calibration for the active digitizer for your device needs to be recalibrated.

There are some apps for it.
I tried a few of these apps to no avail. I'm going to have to assume its a hardware issue. unless theres any more ideas.

Most probably it's a hardware problem.
Could it be that it's a lose connection? Or do you think the whole screen and digitizer assembly will require replacing.

Enter *#*#2664#*#* into the dialer to run the Touchscreen diagnostic test to see if your device's active digitizer is really to blame. I don't know the code that will recalibrate the active digitizer of your device. You would probably have to send your device to Honor to get it recalibrated.

This code doesn't do anything. I'm not sure Huawei will be willing to do anything as I have unlocked the bootloader for root.

Hello everybody,
im experiencing ghost touch issues with my GM1903. If i touch the display + the metal frame(especially the area around the charging port) there are ghost touches. Especially visible when playing games like pubg or whatever.
A link to an video of the issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXu7WOtd9o4
There is also a thread in the oneplus forum existing, but still no reaction from oneplus....
And before there will be asking someone. Yes i have tried a factory reset, a reflash of the rom etc.
Currently i have sent in the phone, what im asking for is if anyone of you are experiencing the same issue please comment below with the production date.
Mine says 2019.06.03
Thank you!
Which variant are you using 6/128 or 8/256 ??
Are you charging the phone when it happens? If so, are you using the official charger and cable?

The productiondates for this issue vary, see the other thread at the OP forum: https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/oneplus-7-touch-issues.1070754/page-11#post-20733362
Not to deminish your efforts, but one of the guys over there sent it in and got it back with another OOS, 9.5.5, which showed even worse signs of ghost touches.
Please update us (and join the other thread too if you haven't already) and chip in with your experiences
how serious is this issue because i have this ordered should i cancel it?
If you plan on using a case that seals off the bottom metal part. You'll be fine
how do you know this have you done it?

As long as the bottom part is covered, you're safe.

Do they appear when charging only?
Sent from my OnePlus7 using XDA Labs
They appear only when not charging, when touching the metal base part around the chargeport and enabling airplanemode fixes it. Disable NFC doesn't, disabling nightlight doesn't, nor disabling any of wifi, bluetooth, gps, 3-finger-screenshot, tap-to-wake or the videoenhancer.
Hi! It has only happened to me once... I was charging my OP7 with a non official charger. Throwing charger & cable to the trash bin solved the issue.
I apologise I haven't been of help
