As you might know, the Developer settings from your Smartphone has disappeared since your update to Jelly-Bean. Have they removed it? Yes. They thought it was too useful to the users and decided to remove it from the phone. Nah, instead, they have removed it from the Settings menu and placed it to the 'About Phone' section. It's not easy to figure out where it is. Here's how to get them back:
1. Go to the Settings menu and scroll down to 'About Phone.' Tap it.
2. Scroll down to the bottom again, and you'll see your phone's 'Build number.'
3.Tap it seven 7 times. You'll see a pop-up showing how far you are from enabling the Developer settings. Keep tapping, and you'll magically get your 'Developer Settings' back. Neat, isn't it?
If you don't know what it's used for, it would be best if you do not enable them.
Hope this helps!
Thanks. I've enabled performance options on 4.4.2 omni rom and now i can OC my CPU

Check if you already have the Developer Settings. What ROM are you using? Are you using any of the JellyBean or KitKat ROMs? If so, try the method I've posted. It SHOULD work, if you don't already have the Developer options on your >Settings page.
I write this tool to check for the original/genuine Note 3, as many people face with a fake/clone Note 3.
Download this app: Phone INFO ★Samsung★
Go to the Menu --> [Note 3] Fake / Clone Detector. That's all. And please report if you think this app returns an incorrect result.
Cheers.
New update available:
Improve '[Note 3] Fake / Clone Detector' function, for better compatibility with custom ROM.
Why You Need A Clone detector? All you need to do is look at how much internal storage the phone comes with because the clones only got something like 3gigs!

Not as simple as you think. I've made this tool because of this topic: Note 3 - How to spot a FAKE / CLONE
Thanks @vndnguyen for very useful apps.

Yes, should be concerned. These info should be matched on the most of phones. If they don't match, the reason can be the phone is not the original one (i.e it has been modified etc..)
Can you post all screenshots from the app? And also the screenshot that says "does not match..."

XDA automatically moved your question to a question & answer thread b/c you are a new user. Basically, on first boot up, you will need to enable developer settings, by going into settings & scrolling to the bottom. Select "about phone". Tap on "build number" rapidly until it says developer settings have been opened. Back back out into the normal settings menu and select developer options. In there, find the selection that controls root. Click on it and select "apps & adb". Then reboot and try root checker again. PM if you have any questions. XDA probably won't let you post in my main thread until you get like 10 posts or so.

Does this have OTA updates?
Hi.
I am new on this forum and I tried to find the solution on this forum and many others. There is no straight answer what to do.
Ok. So I bought Samsung Galaxy S5 from Honkkong. They cheat me because I ordered different model (SM-N920C) and received very wird model because in "About Phone" is SM-N920F model. I though that is a fake but I checked all Samsung codes, benchmark etc. and it look as an original headset.
When connecting to BST smart tool it shows (SM-N920V) and when checking IMEI on imei.info website it shows different headset (samsung galaxy s6 edge SM-G920F).
I can't make an updates and I stuck with lolipop 5.1.1 and can't even use my VR as don't have com.facebook.system and manager files in applications. Even don't have show system apps option.
Can't use banking apps as well.
Beside that phone is working fine but I wan't to unlock this options. The problem is that if I will restore this phone to factory settings or will install other firmware( even custom) then phone will lock to Verizon.
I am looking for help. I don' know it's possible to install only com.facebook.system files or other method.
I have BST smart tool so I can try reasonable solution. This is the only headset that I have.
Regards
Marcin

I own a P40 lite and i was able to downgrade to an earlier firmware then install Google Services by using youtube tutorials.
The thing is that I heard that after updating to 10.1.0.226 or a newer firmware, they downgrade the camera quality and features (I confirm the downgraded features).
I'm on 10.0.1.136 and I want to stay this way for a while but the UI is bugging me about updating all the time even after I disabled auto updates. It's so easy to press 'ok' and update by mistake if I don't pay attention.
How do I stop those annoying fw update notifications ?
Enable developer settings, go inside and uncheck auto updates, this might help

Thanks for the advice. I've tried, but I still get the annoying update notifications after a phone restart.
