I've downloaded the Good Lock apk file from two different sites and can't seem to get it to install. I've verified that I can install 3rd party apps in security settings and the download folder file looks good (has Good Lock icon). However when I select the file, nothing happens. No install, no error, nothing.
EDIT: I just noticed a black window quickly flashes that says "Deep scanning..... ". That was all I could read before the popup box went away.
Any ideas appreciated.

I went to Interfacelift to grab some wallpapers and when I open a tab with one and long press to save the image, I just continually get "download unsuccessful". Anyone seen this type of thing at all?
i just went there and found a wallpaper, clicked download, it opened the picture to full size then I long pressed to save and it downloaded fine to my SD card.
Very strange. Mine fails about 90% of the time. I managed to grab a few, but lots of others fail.
Here are some nice wallpapers in case anyone wants to use them.
All of a sudden clicking on a file in the File Manager does not behave properly. When I click on the file, the screen gets darker but no list of Applications that can handle the file are ever displayed. I have tried this with avi, pdf, and mp3 files and the same behavior occurs each time. This seems to have started out of no where. I've tried other file manager applications but I see the same behavior. Any ideas?

I am observing the same problem on my tablet.
Initially I tried opening an .avi file from the File Manager selecting RockPlayer Lite. The sound came on, but there was no image. I couldn't close the application, so I turned off the tablet.
After that any attempt to open a file from File Manager failed. When I select the file that I want to open the screen darkens, but there are no more options which program to use to open the file.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Turned the tablet 90 degrees and then back, and now it's working again.
I enabled privacy and safety on my S6 gallery and then whenever it was enabled it left a stupid symbol at the top so I turned it off, now my images seem to have been renamed. When I open them in windows explorer a [1] is at the end of the filename but not in 'My files' on the S6.
It has stopped the images opening properly in Whatsapp, basically the filepath has changed and I don't know how to fix it, any ideas how to get it back to normal?
Btw my phone isn't rooted and I have no interest in doing so.

Suddenly, Lookout identified what it thinks to be "riskware" on my never-rooted Lenovo YT3-850L YOGA Tablet running Android 5.1.1. Not only can it not delete the referenced file, it doesn't say WHERE it's located and I can't find it or any references to "Base.apk" on Google. Attached are screen captures.

FWIW: The fourth image briefly flashes an "Uninstall" botton when I rotate my tablet before reverting to the "VIEW DETAILS" button. The switch happens too fast to capture, much less allow me to click on "Uninstall" though I suspect could I do so I'd get the same "no can" error message. It may be worth noting that one week ago Lookout was "not compatible" with my Yoga Tablet. An email to Lookout produced a quick response and I was then able to install Lookout from the play store.
Since updating my Samsung Galaxy S8+ a couple weeks ago, I noticed that I couldn't find the settings icon. Eventually I worked out that the COG could be found at the top right hand side when pulling down the menu, but it will only open up the "secure folder settings" and I can't do a thing from there. Is there a way that anyone knows of that I can get the Settings icon back? My phone has also been randomly shutting down without warning for the last few days and today there are apps that no longer open, with my phone telling me constantly that they have "stopped working". I can't access settings to do a back up or to restore my phone. Not sure what to do. Thanks for any advice!
From what it sounds like you still have can USE the phone,
I would download backup program like Titanium do the backup and then odin to stock as it seems your flash didn't go right or something go removed
