Hi,
I have nissan qashqai 2016 with an android multimedia system, and developers options, option to check the "unknown sources" etc are blocked with a password.
I have tried the following(I ran into them after searching the forum):
7890, 123456, 3368, 5802, 1688, 8888, 5678, 518, 126.
Nothing works.
the system's details are:
Processor type: QuadCore-R16 1.6G
Android version: 4.4.2
MCU version: 5.3.18-11-71-453101-151209
System version: 2016010829_4.5.8
any help?
Thanks.
Update: 7890 opens developers options, but to enable "unknown sources" it requires another password

Try "m123456"
That should be the master password for most MTCB and MTCD head units.

Found it!
the password to USB debugging is: [email protected]
my next question is how do I connect the pc to the unit to run commands?
I tried connecting a USB male to male to the USB slot in my car but the PC doesn't detect anything.
I'm guessing your in Israel
Password you looking for is 456789
That's what you looking for, in order to be able to install apps from unknown sources. Now you'll just have to side-load apps onto it via the micro SD card.
wow thank you!!
funny that it is such an easy password ...
and yes i'm from Israel.

I don't think so, because you're in Android section, I think there is a section for Windows head units as well that you can ask for help, not sure though.
Can’t get it unlocked, any help?

Open dial pad, call *#*#8255#*#* ( 8255 = TALK ). If it opens “GTalk Service Monitor”, find lines that begin with JID and Device ID. Your email is JID, and your device id is a string that after android- prefix

To find the official page of the tool you're (probably) trying to use google "codekiem apk downloader" and click on the first link, and remember to follow all the instruction to set up chrome or it won't works

From codekiem's website
I know there’s a problem that if you’re using an stock Android device that doesn’t have Google Play ( Android Market ) installed ( likes Kindle Fire, Nook Color… ) you won’t have a valid Android ID for APK Downloader. So I’m working on an app that helps you activate your device on Google Play, and then get an Android ID.
It worked on my device so far, but I couldn’t find a stock Kindle Fire or any non-Android Market devices to test it. So if you’re using one and willing to test, please drop me an email at redphoenix89[at]yahoo[dot]com and tell me which device you’re using. It still needs some more work, and I’ll inform you right away when it’s done.
Hope you’ll find this interesting and useful.

Does debug usb work? Or something like Fastboot/ADB?
I connected the box to the computer with USB cable (both ends the same) but nothing happened. I wish it was as simple as PC, formating and re install Android OS lol.
not sure about Fastboot or ADB.
Unknown source option is ticked, but like I said nothing happens when I insert a USB. cant even download from net or open any browser.

Hi
I have samme ATNbox, (and others called atn gold/platinum) have you tried to use another android version on the box? I am facing same issue, can´t add any app or change Android version.
Could you please tell me what you did to make it work?
Thanks
Need help please
I have an Androide box named ISatPlus, I was subscribed to iptv in 2015 but not anymore.
The box has received an update from ATN and now am not able to install KODI or any other application. The system keep deleting all new application I install.
I cant even install new firmware it fails after few sconds. Anyone can help or suggest a solution?
The CPU is a dual core ARM Cortex-A7, and the platform is BIGFISH???
thank you
hello how can you roast atn boxes?
Thank you
this is an old thread, however, if anyone still interested in reprogramming "most" of the ATN boxes, there is a way to customize it and make it a basic android box which you can use normally with any app, however most ATN receivers are very old and not compatible with newer versions of android, only android 4.x.x depending on the box you have

Hi it seems the ability to install apps is disabled for this head unit.
There is a forum about the Honda Pilot's head unit and they have been able to install apps by accessing the head unit from a computer.
Some people have successfully used it on 2016 Accords, but I do not know if it will work on your 2017 accord.
Since the 2016 and 2017 cars look the same I assume it should, but do your research first and read through their posts.
The forum is at :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-how-to-gain-root-shell-2016-honda-t3487644
I also have a 2017 honda - I don't think the 2016 hacks work.
hi any update to get honda to work
UPDATE: Just to let you know guys that wireless adb port is already open on Honda accord 2017 headunits by default, therefore there's no need to enable the developers debug mode.
I was able to root it by the following tutorial https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-how-to-gain-root-shell-2016-honda-t3487644 made for Honda Pilot.
After the successful root I've installed HondaHack.apk from this https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-how-to-enter-developer-mode-2017-t3621582 enabled the Pro mode to gain all the features, that allows you to install apps from flash drives or online without the hassle of pushing it manually using the first tutorial made for Honda Pilot.
Apps Installed:
[Waze - Sygic - Spotify - Anghami - Plex - Netflix - Kodi - Newpipe - Dolphin Browser - Root Explorer - Aptoide]

i think you might have figured how to root it
first you are going to need to get 2 APK
The first one is com.google.android.apps.tv.launcherX_1.0.40152940
The second one is Google_base.apk
Then you are going to put your Android 9 version into developer mode you need to allow USB debugging and select USB configuration to any protocol such as media transfer protocol
When you did that you can sideload your two APK files when that is done you are going to need an app on your mobile phone called called remote adb shell. Find out the ip address of your box go to network and ethernet and you will find your ip adress. Go to your phone open remote adb shell put in your ip adress and 5555 on the second line click connect . Now you have two possibilities either remove the current launcher or disable it if you want to keep it
issue the following command
pm uninstall –-user 0 com.google.android.tvlauncher
if you want to reinstall the old launcher the command is as follow
cmd package install-existing com.google.android.tvlauncher
Go back to your android TV and you should now have the google tv launcher , as a side note some countries might need to use a VPN to make it work properly although it was launched officially cheers.

Im having a hard time finding "google_base.apk". Thanks to Mattc001 for attaching the xlauncher 1.1.11, I couldn't find that version, only 1.0.xx so ... yes your right, there should be some homework needed to be applied, it sure helps though when the files or "requirements" are attached. For one, it's trusted that the software used is the trusted one from the OP. Secondly, ... just revert to one.
@Mattc001 Could you please elaborate on the "google_base.apk" ... where to find? Is it under a different title name vs. file name? I'm really interesting in your findings. I just recently acquired a TCL with Android TV or maybe its Google TV and would really like to take advantage of tweaks, mods, and things to better enjoy the experience and boost performance.
Thanks in advance.
