Using page plus sim with Verizon m8 s off unlock bootloader but no data even with Verizon preloaded APN. Just get text and calls. Isn't page plus using the verizon network.

Thanks to this forum I've managed to Unlock my bootloader, install TWRP and flash a custom rom. Now I need to flash it to Pageplus, but I can't get The NV to write. I'm on 4.4 (thank goodness) and using DFS, and I had the QC diag drivers, but I can't get the settings to stick. Any help of what I might be doing wrong?
I just bought the sim card pack from Walmart, put in the att sim and every thing works fine.. data, text, mms etc etc...
But was it an AT&T phone or did you unlock it?

it was a activated on Verizon originally. didn't have to unlock or do any mods.
AT&T SIM card has nothing at all to do with PagePlus.
Anyway, I found same as you on my Droid Mini, the NV_ONLY setting won't stick. I read on HoFo that others have tried and had no luck.
If you can live without data and just use text & talk, you can activate a Verizon SIM (which is really a CSIM/RUIM) with PagePlus by getting its MEID (USB SIM card reader might be required for this, but some phones can read RUIM card MEIDs) and then activating the SIM with PagePlus. You'll be able to write NAM info to the SIM, but there's no way to write data profiles, hence, no data.
There is a store down the road from me that is a Page Plus Dealer. They have flashed Droid Ultra's in their inventory, selling them for $300 data works and all. They will flash your phone for $50. But im in the same boat as you all, trying to flash my own.

From what I saw online, the moto g doesn't work with tracfone. In theory, if boost uses Verizon's network then it may be possible - eventually.
Funny thing is that tracfone also uses GSM networks but this option isn't available for unlocked GSM phones.

Boost uses Sprint's Network which TracFone, Net10 & Straight Talk(ALL Owned by same person) all use as well. Now if their system will take the Device's meid in the BYOD then you could try it via Stock boost firmware or either load the Verizon Firmware like flashing to Page Plus or Have someone else do it for you if you are not comfy doing it. I have a Boost Moto G I put the Stock Verizon Firmware on & now use it on Page Plus so if you need it done get ahold of me.
TracFone, Net10 & Straight Talk all use all 4 Major Carrier's Towers= AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint & Verizon
What I don't get is Tracfone asks for you MEID so even if you have VZW firmware

if you want it on the Verizon side then you have to use a Verizon Meid
I have a verizon htc one m8 but i use T-Mobile as my carrier. I've rooted it, unlocked it with sunshine, gotten my unlock key, unlocked it in the bootloader, set my apn to tmobile and i've set the bands to tmobile's bands. I'm at a loss at what to do at this point to get it to connect to the network and to stop getting the "non verizon card -this card is from a unknown source" message. I can provide screenshots or any info if necessary. I've pretty much hit a brick wall at this point and would love some help.
Edit - I've gotten rid of the non verizon sim message from switching my sku id but still not actually connecting to my network.
