Unlocked Tilt and No Service on T-Mobile Sim

I have just unlocked my tilt with Kaiser SimUnlocker. I put my T-Mobile sim card but no connection. Always searching... I put my friends Cingular sim card (old at&t) and still no connection. So I thought my phone was broken so I took it to local AT&T store and one of the rep says 'maybe it's the sim card'. And he grabs one of his new AT&T sim card and voila! connected. Have anyone had that problem? What can I do to fix this? My T-Mobile sim card is says 38.01e on the card next to my sim serial number. Is it my sim card? Do I have to get a new sim card? I've just got this sim card about 2 months ago. Any suggestion?
I assume you reflashed an appropriate radio after unlocking?
I would try flashing a new radio anyway to see if that sorts your problem.
I've tried severa different radio roms with no luck. Right now I've reflashed back to US At&T rom. I still no clue why my T-Mobile sim will not connect to the network...
On AT&T, the tilt requires the newer AT&T 3G cards - thus probably why the Cingular card didn't work. Are you sure the SIM unlock process worked for you? If your T-mobile SIM is that new, I can't imagine you needing a new T-Mobile SIM. The T-Mobile SIM has worked in another phone?

That's strange b/c my Cingular card works on my tilt.
I unlocked my AT&T Tilt and then put in my (almost 1 year old) t-mobile sim card and it worked immediately without any problems. I used the original radio as directed in the unlocking tutorial. So it sounds like maybe you should do the unlocking procedure again. ?
Hope this helps,
stacy
did you even try putting ur sim into another phone and see if it works? just making sure u covered everything here
Maybe you are locked into 3G
Go under Phone/Options/Band and make sure the top is either set to Auto or GSM
Thanks for all the replys...
I have tried just about everything...
I know it's unlock b/c it does not ask for unlock code no more. I have hp hw6945 that is also unlocked and works perfect in there. It connects almost instantly so I know my sim card works too. Also tried changing band setting to Auto and 900/1800 and everything and no luck... Going crazy and frustrated... about to just sell it to some at&t user and buy a new one, try again.
Just to let you xda'ers know that when I tried to unlock it for the first time I tried with spl-1.56 on it as a factory (dummy me) then tried SuperCid unlock which changed to spl-1.0 then proceded with rest of the unlock. Maybe that messed something up?
I've had that issue but my sim card with t-mobile was 4 years old. Had to purchase a new sim card and everything worked fine after that. With my old sim card, the tilt wouldn't even recognize the card.
Anybody want to donate an old T-Mobile SIM to me
buddy had same issue just happen.. he had to go to tmobile and show them the sim wasnt working they gave him a new @ no charge
I had a old cingular card that came with my Razr and it worked fine in my 8525 Hermes, but it said no service in my 8925 tilt. I would try a new t-mobile card.

[Q] No Service after unlock

I successfully unlocked my Samsung Galaxy S 4G. However when I insert an AT&T sim, I show full bars of signal but the screen says (No Service). I've tried two different sim cards and neither will work. They are both older sim cards but they should still work, right?
Only thing that stands out as odd is the AT&T APN isn't checked blue; it's white (unmarked?) and can't be selected. I'm using Gingerbread 2.3 and my T-Mobile card works fine. I have my network bands set to automatic.
And for the record, in order to connect to AT&T's network, I need to use the AT&T sim all the time, right? I won't be able to connect to AT&T when using the T-Mobile sim, yes?
Tmobile cam connect to AT&T only when data roaming for me if I got to arkansas... Im.at&t. But imma say to try to unlock again

When you switch Sim cards you have to do a factory data reset. Just enter recovery and select the option to factory reset then reboot it should recognize your new Sim.

I did a factory data reset from Settings->Privacy->Factory Data Reset and it didn't work. Still says No Service.
And I don't think I need to unlock again because when I access that one screen (I forget the code to enter) it shows all the locks as set to OFF.
Any other ideas why the AT&T SIM card won't allow my phone to connect? Is the fact that it's an old card the problem?

It could be the sim card although I really dont see how it could be. Is it a 3g sim card? If so it should still work, factory reset, input the at&t apn settings, reboot phone. That is what I would try, I have an unlocked phone as well, and once you input the unlock code, its UNLOCKED.
type in *#06# and let me know what comes up

you would need to use your att sim card you may have a issue with the fact the sgs4g actually lacks 3g band
its hsdpa or edge or G
unless att uses the same spectrum as tmobile for hsdpa you prob will not get a signal
Thanks for the help everyone. In my newbishness, I didn't understand from the instructions on unlocking that the foreign SIM needed to be active. None of the instructions say it needs to be. That turned out to be the problem: I was using an old, inactive SIM (hence no service).
Sick as I am with T-Mobile, I just took my phone in to AT&T and switched providers yesterday.

Any ideas how to get AT&T to work?

Note 4 910V (LOLIIPOP 5.11) Rooted. No network from another international carrier.

Hello all.
I have received a Note 4 910v (Verizon Carrier) as gifr and the phone was factory reset and i inserted an Orange Sim From Mauritius......I got no signal bars as i inserted the sim.
The phone was on 5.0.1 and i update to 5.11 and hoped that i would be getting a network signal from it...But still nothing... I then rooted the whole phone but still nothing.
I read somewhere if i activate the phone with a verizon sim card the problem will be resolved.
If i puchase a new verizon sim card on ebay and try activating the phone without making anycalls....will it work as i wont be getting Verizon signals here in Mauritius.

Unable to Activate

I'm having problems attempting to activate my Galaxy S8+ with Verizon Prepaid. My S8+ was originally with AT&T but I have it unlocked and I have flashed the unlocked firmware to my device. I have contacted Verizon and they get to the part of activating my phone using the IMEI and the SIM card's number when they say that the IMEI isn't working for them when I give them the correct numbers but the SIM card is fine. Does anyone know whats going wrong or could help me out with this.
Activate the sim in another Verizon phone first then swap sim to s8
If this activating in another phone and switching it over doesnt work what else should i possibly do?
