I've been searching for some dev's willing to or possibly already working on SM-G930T roms but haven't come up with any... (Stock modded, deodexed, and debloated Roms of course) But I have only come up with one partially debloated rom resulting in decent performance but, low battery life. I was hoping to see more development for the T-Mobile S7 Flat and I assume so were other people, so lets try to get some dev's working on this phone!
(PM me if you know someone or you yourself are willing to start developing roms or mods for this phone so I can put it up on here )
Thanks for your time .
Guys Echoe Rom is now available on the SM-G930T and SMG935T !!!!!!!

I don't see many options here. Mostly stock roms in this forum topic. I had a ton of problems with boot loops and such and just couldn't get anything to work. OTAs still force a bootloop sequence unless I zero out: "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/misc". I just disabled the notification for them and everything is fine now, but I was wondering if there was any point to using anything other than the stock ROM.
I kept root and just removed TMO bloatware. The 4.4.2 stock ROM seems pretty damn fast, but I have nothing to compare it too. I'm basically just trying to decide if it's even worth it to attempt another ROM install. Are there any real advantages to any of the other ROMs out there over stock? I'm looking for stability above all else, then speed. Features I don't really care about.

Stock or at least stock based with dorimanx kernel is about as good as it gets for tmo...most of our developers have moved on to newer devices...and non tmo roms don't have Wi-Fi calling

yeah wifi calling is irrelevant to me, but frankly this stock ROM is amazing compared to the performance of my Relay 4G.... H/W keyboard android phones RIP.
Cheers
I have the Intl version which sports more custom roms but they are all the same more or less.... im on stock KK too even though i was a die hard software updater (had 5.1.1 on previous Nexus 4).
Have to agree with you this phone hates modding and is really feeble, it will get bricked quite easy unlike the Nexus 4 which can take a lot of abuse
Try the new cloudy rom. It's a port from LG G4 with various elements.
why dont you guys check in the G2 Android Development. most roms cover all variants there.
For me CynaogenMod's Privacy Guard feature is a must-have on any Android phone. But right now I'm finding that the official CM12 nightlies seems to screw up the modem settings for my local carrier here in Canda (Wind), so I lose access to the service. Constructive suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
General
Hi to all, I have been using XDA for around a uear now, but I hadn't registered until recently. I wanted to give back to the community in some way but developing ROMs isn't one (I'm more of a web developer). So due to a lack of recent videos of Note 3 ROMs which I have seen on YouTube. I thought that it'd be a good idea to review ROMs based on performance, battery life etc... As I regularly change ROMs looking for key features such as good battery life and good performance all around. (I have been through many ROMs, soft bricks and bootloops).
IMPORTANT
I'd be greatful if you guys requested a ROM for me to review. I dont mind testing kernels with a ROM too
DO NOT GIVE A DIRECT DOWNLOAD LINK! ALWAYS GIVE THE ROM POST LINK (So I can view it and give the necessary credits)
ROMS WILL BE PICKED FROM THIS POST AT RANDOM
The Review Process
I install the ROM:
Over 3-7 days I test the ROM for performance, battery life, overnight battery life, compatibility, looks and maybe some other stuff depending on what you guys ask me.
Other information
When will I start?
The reviewing will begin hopefully on the 14th August because I'm on holiday.
I also dont mind reviewing applications and other stuff for the note 3 and at least for now my videos will have NO ADS, also if enough people are interested I will make a website for it with the written reviews
Thank you for reading this
Hopefully if this works the first review will be of an unofficial CM13 build by someone.
Please do a review on AryaMod Port S7Edge . I have already tried the ROM, it seems really good. Can you also please do a tutorial on how to install the ROM at the beginning of the video, so that if anyone have doubts regarding installation, your video will be helpful.
Thanks

Sure when I get back I will review it and post an install tutorial on it, I'd do one on holiday but I have tried AryaMod a while ago and its a battery killer lol and whilst I'm on holiday battery life is crucial.
Yeah so hopefully I can start the review process on maybe the 13th but it should he finished and uploaded by the 17/18th
Yesterday I used both the brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with the iris scanner and the Samsung Galaxy S7.
The only ROM that is like the S7 is Fagner Wolfs Darkwolf S7 ROM.
So far I haven't seen any ROMs with the Note 7 UI with its all new settings and notifications which are more like android stock now but somewhat cleaner and copy the default Samsung white background.
If I had my phone with me I would have recorded it and posted it on YouTube. Sadly I didn't
I might review some stuff early
Any updates on the review ?
Nice stuff
I always wanted a ROM with the latest software from the most recent Note (in this case the Note 7) but with everything compatible and what isn't possible (like camera software due to hardware limitations) reverted to the Note 3 version. Like an actual update from the brand or something among those lines. But there's so much roms out there (and fortunately!) and so much confusion in threads (less fortunately but I can't really complain as everything here is made for developers and not for general public) and not so much time on my end that I can't test everything out and find what I like.
Anyways, I'm just here to show my support on your idea, good luck with that
Hi guys,
as you can tell from my question, I am not the most technical kinda guy. I havent used Custom Roms in quite a while, and even then I wasnt very good into all that. I got it working, but thats it. No fancy going into scripts, changing stuff on ADB etc, not that kinda nerdy ^^ guy.
But I would appreciate some tips as for whats currently the most stable running Custom Rom for the S7 (SM-G930F / Baseband: G930FXXU1APEQ / Build: MMB29K.G930FXXS1APG3) out there ? I remember, when I had my Note 4 a long time ago, I had the OMEGA Rom, and that one was great. It was very stable, Battery life was great. Now I am looking for something similiar like that for the S7 (not Edge). Can you give me tips which of the available Roms, would fit these criteria ? I would prefer a Custom Rom based on TouchWiz, because for some reason I like that (although I know its not the fastest).
Thanks in advance.

Well, if you want to have good battery life then nothing beats the stock rom. But I have used Nyssa nexus and currently using King Rom and both have very good battery lives. Just don't install custom kernels, since they will always drain a lot of battery, no matter what you do.
Try phoenix rom for S7 , amazing battery life, super fast and very stable rom.
Hi guys I am new with this devices.
I want know what are your opinion about what are the best stock based costum rom for s7 flat for battery and performance. Sorry if my English isn't very good. Thanks in advice.

It's very hard to determine "best rom" everyone have their own taste / preference. In my opinion (ROMS which I tested) Helios ROM if you want minimalism stability and samsung features (like My KNOX and Secure Folder) work with root. SuperMan ROM if You want many advanced features and customization mods.
Hope this helps

Yes Im agree with you but I was thinking thet create a thread for confront our varius opinion, it may be helpful. ?Anyway, I have tested helios and I I found it little bit slow. Now im using the stock rom by ambasadii, but the drain for me is very hight.maybe I will try superman Rom. How is the battery drain in Superman rom and is better superman or superstock for you?
SuperMan and SuperStock is basically the same. SuperMan has much more customization features added. About battery drain I got around 5-6 hours screen on time (sometimes I had standby drain up to 10% overnight) but that was on Marshmallow I didn't have enough free time to test nougat as I need usable device at work. I'll try new SuperMan version this weekend. I think SuperMan ROM is best choice it is smooth, fast, battery friendly, fast updates and very active community.

Great! Thanks bro. Is only few time that I use this Galaxy. First I had a bullhead (nexus 5x) and this is my first Samsung so I don't know a lot the various rom for this device. After A bit of test I te I will tell you my considerations ?

As always is said, each device is a different world, in my case the rom of ambasadii goes very well I get up to 7 hours of screen with the AOD deactivated and in battery saving mode (And without energy saving mode and with the activated AOD I arrive to 6 hours calmly), with superman rom otherwise the battery is discharged a lot Faster but I have not tried its latest version.
PD: I always return to rom of ambasadii.
Hi, I found this Post and I would also like to ask now that it is 2019 (seems S7 will only be getting security patches from now on and no more Pie), Is Superman ROM is still the best stable Stock Based ROM? Or are there newer ROMs you would suggest. I'm a newbie to this though I have experienced rooting on other devices before.
I'm planning to Flash my S7 (SM-G930FD) and someone advised me to Root First then proceed to Stock-based ROM before going to AOSP-based ROMs. I feel like skipping to Stock-based ROM.
My Search leads me to the Following ROMS:
LightROM
The Galaxy Project
Superman ROM, seems like this thread support is closed, EOL.
Superstock ROM, Thread Closed too.
Can you also answer some of my worries below:
Mainly I want to use Tincore to Simulate touch input in games, will a Stock-based ROM deliver properly?
I have a Gear IconX 2018 (Samsung's BT Headset), will it pair properly and be useful in calls? (I've read BT problems with AOSP but haven't checked with stock-based ROMs)
Will Screen mirroring (Smart View) still work? (I have Samsung Smart TV at home, which I use to show my mother my taken photos)
Will the Camera have Problems too (same with AOSP-based ROMS)
What's OTA? (it seems direct updating of Custom OS from Settings Menu?
What's Dirty Flashing?

I can try to answer some, some are rom specific.
The BT headset should pair fine- it's stock based.
Screen mirroring should work if the rom supports it, don't use it so I can't say for sure, but I think lightrom has it.
The camera will have no problems at all, same as the stock rom. Gcam and other camera mods via magisk work as well such as 4k60.
OTA's are over the air updates so that manufacturers can give out updates wirelessly- stock-based roms do not support this and you have to flash new versions manually.
Dirty flashing is flashing a rom without wiping data etc., it isn't recommended as it can introduce issues, check with the rom and developer to see if they recommend it or not. Devbase is usually fine with dirty flashing updates.
Personally, I don't see the need for rooting or flashing anymore unless you need extra features or android pie, reduces the resale value as Knox is tripped and loses Knox functionality such as Samsung pay.

Thanks @Pacer_456
Can you also give me a list of most stable ROMs for S7 Flat (SM-G930FD), if I'm not troubling you a lot?
I still feel like flashing my device for learning purposes too. Anyway, I don't think I'll be using Samsung Pay and my Warranty period is also over, so I guess I have no issue with the knox thinggy.
Thanks again..
*******Update*******
oooh, so I decided to Check Light ROM and found 4 Versions, with pages to read.
anybody can give me an overview of which one should I check up on first. It would be a great help to me.

It's gonna happen. Probably sooner than some think. We already have a stable custom kernel and I'm running it now on eu.stable. After having an LG device in the past, I've grown to be patient with development. We are guaranteed to get better custom roms the SamShits.
