Hey,
I have the same issue! Do you have Spotify installed on your phone?
I think that could be the reason.
Please give me a feedback if you haved tried it!

Do you use micro sd card?

I'm having the exact same issue after using the google photos app in combination of the samsung gallery app. After a while pictures stop loading and the phone starts getting really slow. If i just press the power button the screen goes off. But i can't get it to go on again except powerbutton + volume down reset. I've been thinking about it aswell, and the sd card must be the problem here. But it has worked perfectly fine for months and even in previous phones. But recently i've been on a trip and made all my pictures with my s7. I made like 30gigs worth of pictures. Either the gallery app has somekind of memory leak or my sd card is wonky.

Which SD-Card do you use?
Have you tried the App "Quick Pic" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alensw.PicFolder&hl=de). Maybe it solves your problem!

Yes, i use Micro sd card Lexar 128gb 1000x UHS-II.
But maybe i found the problem, today no "freeze deep sleep" after i uninstall Samsung Music Player downloaded from Playstore. I hope this is the problem, i try it for other two day and after i'll tell you

My sd card is sandisk 64G
I've run a few tests on it to check if something is wrong with the sd card. Its just fine.
My phone actually can't even wake up with home button however, so i think it might be different problem.
I want to use Google photos, but it isn't able to remove pictures from the sd card. Thats why i use the stock samsung gallery app. But i'm sure one of those apps is making my phone crash.
It doesn't happen right away. If I keep scrolling down the pictures stop loading instantly and it starts to go insanely slow, thats when it will crash ... if i turn of the screen it won't come up again no matter what (except force reboot).

Why don't you try without the SD card for a while to see if the problem disappears?
Maybe there is an issue with the SD card and it scans it every time it wakes from deep sleep.

I had the same issue several times a day so bought a new sd card and issue gone away

Since I removed Spotify on my Handy last week, I had no problems yet.
Maybe it is a Software-Problem by Spotify that hurts my phone deep in the system.
Does someone know how I could prove that?

Ok guys I reinstalled the Spotify App (Version 6.0) and got the problem again. But this time just my whole systemUI crashed and my phone did not respond. I am glad there was no black screen.
But more I it seems there is a big problem in the Spotify App!
As a experiment I download one of my playlists and saved it on the SD-Card. Do you think that could be the problem?
I save all my pics from the camera also on SD-Cad and had no problem anytime. In the time where Spotify was not installed on my phone I had no issues!!
Does someone has an Idea what I can do to fix that problem?

[Q] SD-Card Apps Bug?

Hi there!
I think I discovered a bug, which as I can see occurs also to other none Sensation phones.
When I put a shortcut on the mainscreen, from an app which I installed on the SD-Card, after a reboot or shutdown the app Logo is replaced by the standard Android Logo and I can't start the app via the shortcut anymore. I have to delete it and then place the app again from the app-drawer on the mainscreen to get it work again.
Does someone else experience the same problem?
Cheers
Yeah that's happened to me too.

I've experienced the first part where the android icon is displayed until the contents of the SD card are loaded ... it takes a minute and then the normal app icon is loaded

How many minutes does it take exactly? Because I didn't wait longer than maybe 2 or 3 minutes.
I think I'll send an e-mail to HTC to let them know about this problem.

it's a common problem. nothing to worry about.
When android phones first bootup and icon is status bar says sd is preparing, during this time the icon for apps on sd is incorrect, but should be fixed once sd is prepared by OS.
SD card bug
I'm having the same issue, picked up the Sensation yesterday. It doesn't matter how long you wait, the apps never recover. You have to remove the icons from the home screen. Plus apps that use a database stored on the SD will not work continuously, such as Touchdown from Nitrodesk. Other than this highly annoying bug, its a nice phone.
is this a common issue? i know that the OS has to mount the SD card and wait for a bit, but i waited all day and the icons are still screwed up. i had the G2 and had apps on the sd card and they load up fine after a few minutes.
would this be caused by the type/class of sd card? i have a 16gb class 10. the apps load up fine just the icons all look the same

Same here. On my wildfire it changes back to normal. But my sensation doesnt change back.
Have you reported this to TMO and HTC? Any response?
Yep, happens all the time. The recent update didn't resolve it.
There's a workaround however - you don't need to re-create the shortcut or anything, just go to Settings->Applications->Manage->All, scroll to HTC Sense (there would be two, we need the first one with a clock as a logo) and force close it. Press Home, HTC Logo appears, bam! Your icons are back. Highly annoying.

well its not the fone issue nor sd card...its app compatibility issue... most apps were designed for froyo...but now running them on 2.3.3 they waork on sd-card as well but their shortcuts do not identify them after restart coz they do not have exact icon update path...its an appp issue ...till its resolved plz keep apps on fone....do not worry u need to work hard to finish 1 gig by apps....and plz dt ever think apps on fone mk it slower...use advance task killer as well....
im just going to put the apps on the phone instead of sd card...until htc does an update, because when i used the gingerbread custom rom on the g2 it had no problem putting apps on sd card.
yeah happens to me too. Just kill sense to force it to reload and that fixes it ... until the the next reboot

Icon pictures disappearing and coming back

Have anybody here had or notice this on their sensation. On mine it disappears and then once in awhile it would come back.

yes it's a known issue
Any problems with your SD Card? Are these apps on it or are they stock apps?
There apps from the marketplace and not on the sd card.
This happens to me too, usually after the phone crashes and restarts.
I just delete from the home screen and add again. Seems only to happen too downloaded apps. It's a bit of a pain though.

[Q] App2sd causes boot loop issue

Guys see when i move my apps to the sd card with app2sd or any other program when i reboot my phone the home screen appears and then it does the media scanning and after that it boots continuously 5-10 times and stops after a factory reset. Anybody else having this issue. Please help!
I've heard that not all apps are compatible with app2sd. try moving them all back to where they were and move one at a time until it happens. take note of that app, move it back, and continue until you find all apps that cause this to happen. or, just don't use it. those are the only two options I know

Thanks Supergaijin! I do not use the app now! Do u remember u helped me to root my phone and then it caused boot loop. It was because of app2sd!

I use Force2SD.apk(is root app) app to force all app to external sd..This can save your internal phone storage..
App2sd.apk some app cannot to external sd..No titanium at all..
thanks, that info will help those that were trying to use app2sd but finding errors like android crazy (not me)
not use app2sd.
i never had this issue using sam lus app2sd but im not sure also it was working at all! i mean i can see the app size reduce, and usb sdevice has the application but i didnt have any bootloop...

I too have this issue... I've been pretty aggressive about moving apps first with Apps2SD, but also with Titanium. I've now removed Apps2SD but can't shake the reboot issue. I've found that with the phone in Airplane mode, the reboots are minimized and the phone ultimately does settle... but its going to be tough to figure out whats causing the reboots.
Any ideas, other than brute iteration

S7 and S7 Edge Micro SD / Eject Notification Issue

I sent my S7 to a Samsung authorized service repair center. Verdict: They need to replace the motherboard. Its officially an hardware issue, thus not affecting all devices. The ones that are affected needs replacement/or motherboard replacement. When they replace the motherboard, they have (no choice) to also replace the screen. Cost CDN 690$.
Its all over the web. Small number of units are affected though.
I wounder why Samsung just don't send me a new phone as their cost for a new device is around 240$ USD.
Can you describe more of your issue? I'm also getting a microsd/eject notification on every boot, but it can be cleared away and my microsd is usable/shown in settings->storage.
That's not a problem. Swipe it away and it's gone. It's a notification. Means nothing to performance. Why would that be means for a new motherboard. Does your card not read?
Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
On a reboot this is totally normal since the phone stops reading the sim as well as the SD. And then reconnect everything. My issue was that the notification was randomly coming back even when the phone was not rebooted. Plus, when I was accessing my music and /or pictures, the phone was sometimes freezing in the middle. Then I had to reboot. Then my music /pictures from SD was working for a while, then freezing again. No it was not just a swipe away fix. If the notification randomly comes back when the phone it means that the phone stopped reading it for a second /micro second and then reading it again (like if I had remove the tray and re introducing it.

Note Edge (SM N915F) lags/freezes every 10-20 seconds

Hello XDA!
I have a problem with my device, Galaxy Note Edge (SM N915F).
My phone lags about 1 second every 10-20 seconds. I opened logcat (catlog app from Google Play) and i see Choreographer skipped N(generally 30 to 60) frames when lag occurs. I make a search about choreographer and i learned it is for syncing app and screen, basically VSync. Message from logcat says "The application may be doing too much work on its main thread.". This may be true for a user app, but even using Camera, it lags every 6-10 seconds. Btw device is rooted and has a custom recovery (CWM).
Thanks for any help!

How's the screen feel when it happens?
Warm at all?
Most phones cool through the screen, IIRC.

Sometimes warm, sometimes super hot(top right of screen), sometimes not warm at all. I take phone, unlock it, open camera app, shake it to see if it freezes, it freezes for 1 seconds. Captured video from camera does not have any lags btw.

So you're running a rooted phone.
Do you save your video directly to an sd card or to the phone's internal storage?

Phones internal storage. But it doesn't matter. I tried to saving to SD card too. I dont think if this is a storage problem because even when messaging, screen freezes for 1-2 seconds. Screen freezes but not app itself. Consider I am writing 'something'. Screen freezes at 'some', after freezing done 'thing' was there. So screen is unresponsive sometimes.
I got exactly the same problem, Galaxy note 4 duos, the problem started today, I have no idea whether it is some app actualisation or something else. Anybody knows what to do?

Btw, I did cache wipe, then factory reset, removing sd does not help, neither plugging charger. Phone lags every 30 sec for 1 second.

The best I can figure is it has something to do with the way the phone handles data.
Maybe something is misbehaving?
An app' is doing something the phone's security is not totally happy with?
I can record video, so you can see what it is doing. Today I also tried booting into save mode + I uninstalled all aplications and turned off the ones, that could not be uninstalled. Same problem. I also noticed that information that the phone has logged to wifi network occur very often, but when is the phone offline, airplane mode and no wifi or other connection, problem is still there. Today I ordered new battery, because mine is quite old now.
Donť know what else to try anymore.
Hi friends, thanks for help, I got it fixed!!! I hard reseted phone again and carefully installed all aplications and tested the phone. I found out the problem was weather app, after installing it, the problem appeared, after uninstall and restarted, problem is gone and phone is lighning faat. Thx thx thx
