Hello friends, I am newbie in android something I wanted to install CWM 6.0.4.5 of this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2560928 and everything goes perfectly, but when squeezed keys + volume, power and home the ANDROID SYSTEM RECOVERY 3E shows me instead of CWM 6.0.4.5 and enter CWM have to do to step 4 with odin and remove the battery etc. .. and I can get! but only this time, after I turn it and attempt to re-enter but it appears the android system recovery 3e. Please help, I do not want this whole process to remove the battery to get. Thank you!
hi @matutecarp99
you have to flash this file called cwm-permanentor.zip with CWM to prevent the Stock ROM to flash it's own recovery over CWM
Warning : flashing cwm-permanentor.zip makes your device status custom.
you can find cwm-permanentor.zip here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2303395
find it in section B)Rooting it's one of those 2 links.
there is other solutions for this, mentioned in tutorial in your link, but this method i said worked for me.

It's because the firmware overwrite cwm with stock recovery, you must root it or directly flash custom ROM. Or use the trick from the first replier.

you can see back up and restore in CWM.
actually backup is not necessary i suggested it because it's good to have a back up of stock rom, so whenever anything goes wrong you can restore your phone as it was.

ok, you need to copy the kernel file to the phone memory.
Then flash the cwm file using odin.
Then reboot to recovery and flash the kernel that is stored on your phone memory.
Then when you exit CWM, it will prompt you to root, so agree to it.
You need the right cwm for your model of ohone by the way.

I tried all kinds of cwm and twrp and latest superSU (2.46, Beta 2.52).
Recovery is rightly installed via Odin, superSU correctly flashed (without errors).
Where I made a mistake?

Yes it works . I have N915FY rooted using twrp 2.8.7.0 recovery and su Beta 2.52 + Micky387 kernel.
note the it will not boot without Micky387 kernel after flashing su Beta 2.52. you must flash Micky387 kernel
I'm pretty sure this has been flogged to death but YOU NEED A ROOT ENABLED KERNEL to get root access...
This has been said many times now with new threads popping up with the same topic, for all variants...

I believe that you're using the incorrect Xposed. You need to be using the one's from Arter97 -xposed-v75-sdk21-arm-arter97-snapdragon,xposed-v71-sdk21-arm-arter97-V6-snapdragon or xposed-v71-sdk21-arm-arter97-V6-snapdragon. You need to go to the unofficial xposed forum for our devices
This is my only limitation:
/* Prerequisite */
Due to my skills limitation, only deodex'ed ROMs are supported for now.
Install the ROM [VZW Stock Based TW Rom] [5.0 Lollipop BOK3 Build Deodexed]

You guys just saved my day. BTW if the phone gets stuck in the Verizon screen after flashing with FlashFire, pull the battery and turn on again. Then it'll carry on to app update screen
Must be blind also
Hello,
I flashed the Snapdragon of Xposed through Safestrap, rebooted and the optimize screen came up and started the apps.
I went to the app drawer looking for Xposed and couldn't find it. Is it hiding some where? I'm sorry if this is a dumb question.
Thanks for your help.
PS: I didn't see any installer.

Xposed v80 test build. Deodexed ROM not required.
No Luck
I have the VZW_BOK3_STOCK_ROM_DEODEXED.zip and I've tried installing Xposed from snapdragon. I've tried through SafeStrap with the zip on both the ext sd card and the internal card and nothing happened except having the "apps compress" then home screen come up.
There is no "Loader", app, or apk for Xposed I just don't know where to go, or where it went.
I would like it installed.
You have to install the app seperately yourself.
This is Where?
I take it I can get it at the location in reply #14. Since that's a "Test" version is there a stable working version?
Thanks for your reply :cyclops:

I hope this wil help some users to update or remove Xposed without having to reinstall a ROM.
I posted this on another thread and I basically searched and read through Arter97's Unofficial Xposed forum to find out how and what's needed to uninstall Xposed without having bootloops. It's worked for me numeroustimes. So it should work for you as well. Just don't forget to make a backup just in case...
What I've read and found out on how to remove an xposed version to either remove or update, is to
- pull the original "core-libart.jar" from the rom you're using and replace it with the one in the system setting the correct permissions
- reboot to safestrap recovery and flash "xposed-uninstaller-arter97.zip"
- wipe cache and dalvek cache
- flash your kernel that you're using in your ROM
- reboot (it'll take a while to get to home screen, so be patient)
- xposed is now Uninstalled
- reboot to recovery if you're wanting to flash a different xposed version and do the wiping steps and flash kernel as before.
Hope this helps you and others. I've done this 10+ times with no issues from V65 to V75. I haven't tried v79 as of yet and from reading Arter97's thread it installs differently and I believe you have to use a different method. When I get a chance to install it, I'll try to uninstall and post back.

CyanogenMod Is Custom ROM
And Understanding About Custom ROM Search at Google
hi friends
hi friends
i have a single sim galaxy young 2
can i flash cyanogen 12.1 on it?
which custom rom should i use please?
thanks
CM12.1 works nicely on my SM-G130H, but dual sim support seems failing. Either both SIMs are switched on or both SIMs are switched off (Airplane mode). Independent switching of SIMs seems not supported.
I tried "su setprop persist.radio.multisim.config dsds", but no effect.
Any hints?
Help please
First, Is it stable for normal using?
An then, can I use it with my Young 2 SM-G130M?
Thanks!
camera stop working when i change to video mode. Tell me how to fix it.
Status : SM-G130H [ROM][UNOFFICIAL]CyanogenMod 12.1
Thanks, I'll try this later. I've recently flashed CM13 in a Galaxy Express 2. The process was...
1. Using Odin, I flashed TWRP.
2. Using TWRP recovery, I flashed CM and gapps and that was it.
Nevertheless, Odin is not mentioned in the instructions here. Why? How are we supposed to install TWRP?
Second, I don't know what the bugs are. Where's the list of all the bugs known?
OK, how do we flash the TWRP file you posted up there if it's a zip?
Odin only works with tar.md5 files. How can I flash a zip TWRP?
OK, I've found it. If you use the latest version of Odin, you don't have to use the zip TWRP the OP has posted. You must use this TWRP file:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995306709
In Odin, select that file in the AP box, and you're done. I've finally installed TWRP and the CM12.1. Working great! Thanks!

If you compare the performance between the stock ROM and CM12, the latest really kicks the sh*t out of the stock ROM. But have in mind that it's a very low end smartphone, it's slow compared to any modern device. But I'm telling you, CM resurrected it.

yes.
use the latest common twrp from android-andi http://andi34.github.io/recoveries_tab2.html
download version 3.0.2-8 as zip. you can install it with philz touch.
then reboot back into recovery and reinstall rom and gapps. DONE
