We picked up an AT&T Note 5 for my wife to use with T-Mobile, and it works great. She misses the T-Mobile sounds that are typically bundled with T-Mobile branded phones though, and I'm trying to find an archive with those files. I'm looking for the bundled ringtones, notifications, alarms, etc. Can anyone help?

Does anyone know the exact files, apks, libs, etc required to make wifi calling work?
I compared the latest EU rom and TMOUS rom and have a general idea but i'm not exactly sure which extra/different files make it functional.
I'm trying to make a MIUI rom based on the stock Tmobile for functional wifi calling.
still need some insight on this...
I would like to know as well. I also would like to add wifi calling to MIUI. But I have a T-Mobile Galaxy s2. But maybe the files are the same

Sorry guys sometime ago T-mobile changed how wifi calling is integrated into android. It used to just be a few files but not anymore. Currently no one has gotten Wifi calling working on a non T-mobile based rom since it was integrated into the framework. Once someone figures it out it will most likely apply to all phones but right now we got nothing.
There is actually an $1100 bounty to get it working on the Nexus 4 and so far devs are stumped.
I was wondering, since the specs are so close between the LG G2 and the Nexus 5, is there a chance it is possible to port the Wi-Fi Calling feature from the LG G2 and make it work on the Nexus 5?
I currently have a Galaxy Nexus and love it, but miss my Wi-Fi Calling feature. I'm shopping around now for a new phone, and I'd be sold on the Nex5 if there were a good chance I could use wifi calling in the future. Otherwise I'm likely going down the path of the S4.
well tmobile will start selling the nexus 5 soon. it will probably have some of the tmobile bloat and probably wifi calling? can probably port from that version when its out.

The Nexus phones (even when sold thru T-Mobile) are "vanilla". No Wifi-Calling will be included. As such, our only hope would be to port from the LG G2 (if it is even possible).
Does anyone know what's involved in pulling the apk from an LG G2? I've got one sitting in my car to be returned to T-Mobile... I can grab it and try and pull the apk before I return it...

you'd need to root it then grab the apk... Probably easier to DL the stock image from the G2 forum and find the apk in that.

It is not as easy as pulling the apk for wireless calling. There are special radio libraries and hand-off files that need to be setup and referred in configuration files. Sorry to pour sour milk over your dreams.
I don't think anyone ever got wifi calling working on the N4, despite a pretty significant effort.

Yes, that was largely because there was not a T-mobile branded version of the phone to snag the lib files needed. I am hoping since the G2 is a T-Mobile branded phone with the lib files for wifi calling we can use them on the Nexus 5 (they are very similar hardware).
Sorry if this has been posted before....but is it possible to flash a T-mobile ROM on a Verizon note 5?
I left big red for T-Mobile and bought a unlocked Note 5 that was originally on Verizon.
It works fine with T-Mobile and I am overall happy with the network.
However I travel a lot and would like the option of WIFI calling and also to be able to use the free in air txting on GOGo inflight.
In order to do that it seems I need the T-mobile firmware? Or is this something I can flash?
As the phone is now I have no option to turn on WIFI calling in any of the the settings.
Thanks!
Nope. If you try. You will soft brick it. Only way to recover is Odin back to stock TMO firmware. I attempted with and s4 and s6 from Verizon. I eventually caved and ponies dup for a TMO note 5. The lack of volte alone killed me.
I have a N920V as well and am now using t mobile with great Lte speeds. You 1)dl BK Package Disabler app for Samsung, 2)give it admin permission and disable all Verizon packages (except Mobile Hotspot And Tethering to keep that function), 3)input APN settings for t mobile manually, then reboot. I am unrooted and have great network functionality that rivals Verizons so called superior service.
For in flight free texting there is no need for TM firmware. I have international Note 4 (N910F) with generic rom for TM plan. GoGo works fine during my frequent Delta flights.
I have s7 verizon and have used many verizon galaxy on t-mobile. Wi-Fi calling cant be added. I am able to use the internet intermittently whilst talking but on 3g. On some verizon phones it was nothing while talking.
I have the nexus 6 on Verizon. I really would like to have the note 5. Will the T-Mobile note 5 work on Verizon?

I have tried to search through the forums looking for custom ROM's that support Voice Over WiFi (not VoIP like Hangouts etc) to no avail . I am sure there would have to be separate builds (one for AT&T, one for T-Mobile etc etc) so it might be a bit much to ask but wanted to make sure before I gave up on it !
Thanks in advance...
VoWiFi isn't really a feature that custom ROMs come with or without.
Basically if the phone's original firmware comes with it, then the custom ROM will have it.
But - it has dependencies. For example, on Samsung devices, it depends on you having the correct CSC, which is a region related file. This contains things that enable VoWiFi, VoLTE etc.
What phone do you have?

What I have is a pos iCrap 6 , it's a temp phone because I accidentally stepped on my Nexus 6 to end it's days . I am looking for my next droid and am impressed with the spec's of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 and the Ulefone T1. In either case I would look at a custom ROM if available. Unfortunately I am limited to AT&T or Verizon here, Sprint is meh for coverage (absolute 0 bars anywhere in or around the house and for 1/2 mile) and T-Mobile is worse, so that leaves me with the 2 hardest to get VoWiFi working unless you use their phones... More then likely going to have to go the route of in home signal amplifier to bring the signal to the basement.
Thanks for the reply, have not done a custom ROM for sometime so wasn't sure where the VoWiFi came from.
Hello,
I'm getting a 7 Pro on Friday, and it will be an unlocked model. I would like a ROM that has the TMobile specific features intact (RCS, Wi-Fi calling, HD voice, etc)
Is there such a ROM??
Nope.

What a bummer. So you either go with T-Mobile features, or the unlocked variant??

What TMO features I wonder?
RCS that is compatible with other T-Mo users. If I use the stock messenger, I can use the "chat" features with any other T-Mo user with Android. If I use the international version, it doesn't seem that I do. Which is a bummer. I know I can use Google Messenger, but no one I know uses it. I do however, know a few people who DO use the T-Mobile one, mostly because they don't know about it, and just use stock.
I have had my T-Mobile version with a custom ROM for a long time now. I used the all-in-one tweak tool. For some reason the newer ones wouldn't flash I had to flash the old version 9.5.8 AA something. And then let T-Mobile do the updates. That brought me to 10.0 .02? then I was able to install ice Smurf kernel and no limits.. but no limits has been kind of spotty for me I just found out today that you have to hide the I'd? For no limits to get it to work correctly I hope. But the phone's been Rock solid I did at twrp back up as soon as I finish the updates. V o l t e & v o Wi-Fi has been working great. I have all the T-Mobile goodness without any of the bloatware. I highly recommend Smurf kernel. And high brightness mode when comparing to other people's phones. Lol no matter what I do the camera still kind of sucks but the video is really good.

You can use RCS anyways. Google released it for all skipping carriers because carriers were taking too long to implement into their own software. I'm using chat features RCS on my T-Mobile 7 pro running havoc OS
Yes, but it's only compatible with other Messages users, since Google uses UP 1.0, and T-Mo does not. So I lose the ability to chat with T-Mo Android users when I use Google Messages.
I am running open beta 12 on my t-mo variant and I have all the features working(rcs, wifi calling, VoLTE/VoWiFi ,etc). I flashed to international version the minute I opened the phone. Didn't even insert sim card until after I unlocked bootloader. This was day one about a month ago. No Issues at all
Note: i do use google messages app. I just like it over stock messaging app.
Well, people need to smell the coffee, Google messaging is the best Android messaging app.
I have found the latest version of crDroid to have working VoLTE and VoWiFi on T-Mobile. Can't speak to RCS.
I haven't been able to get WiFi calling to work on any custom Pie ROM yet. Haven't tested other Android 10 ROMs yet, but if I do, I'll report back.
