Have some time to update the Slim this weekend. The latest Slim7 Build 0.22 Android-7.1.2_r8 (N2G47O) is out now.
2017/03/11
The latest Slim7 Build 0.15 Android-7.1.1_r26 (NOF27C) is out now. After finished the development of MediaTek, I have some time to take a look at the PerformanceControl app. The apply at boot feature is fixed. Settings are preserved after reboot now. Cheers!
2017/02/17
The latest Slim7 Build 0.12 Android-7.1.1_r21 (NOF26W) is out now. I have tested a bit longer this time. The SlimLauncher (modified from Launcher 3) behaves the same as Carbon. It was not prepared to run in landscape (was for a phone) so the app drawer button is not handled properly in landscape. See if there will be a fix in the next build.
2017/01/21
This is the build I promised. I have tested for a while. It is slim as before and approaching complete.
The Slim7 Build 0.8 Android-7.1.1_r9 (N6F26Q) is out now. Cheers!

2016/8/6
Alpha 0.8 (Android 6.0.1_r61) is out now. Some reports that the last build didn't stable. The voltage tables are reverted.
2016/7/31
Try to keep up with the official weekly. Alpha 0.7 is out now.
In this build, the customizations of UI are included. The kernel default voltages of CPU and GPU are adjusted to reduce the power consumption. Hoping it would work for most of the devices. Cheers!
2016/7/25
This is the latest Slim6 Alpha 0.6. I have built SlimRoms since JB. It is known to be the slimmest and provide all the necessary features. I have included the tweaks which I have been making for Omni6 and DC-kernel. After testing it for a few days, I decided to share it. It is quite stable and responsive. It would be my new daily driver now. Cheers!

Many thanks for your work.. The first newer Rom (since the LP garbage) which runs more smoothly on this old device... I'll never understand, why a quadcore could be so slow, but with this slim-Version it is useable enough
Cheers,
SP

The weekly update Alpha 0.10 is out. Cheers!

Weekly Build 1.1 (Android 6.0.1_r61) is out now.

Downloaded SuperSu from the app store and let the app flash an update via recovery, which worked. But after that I'm stuck in a bootloop

About
From the G+ page:: Welcome to Euphoria-OS where you will be in a state of intense excitement and happiness with your device!
My build: This is little side project that might grow into something bigger if time permits. EOS is successor of famous Mahdi ROM. I always wanted to try it, but nobody would do it while we were on KitKat. So here it is, built completely from AOSP sources, using CM device tree.

Have to go now, but before I leave, just a quick reminder:
Superuser built in - go to Developer settings to enable.
Uses 400dpi as default, use texdroider from the store if annoyed.
Thanks

android is upgrading is arrived just after the reboot after the flash......for the music when I play music and if I run browser when I turn the screen to vertical it's making ggggr noise but resolved with sound patch .
I really do love mahdis works ! Thank you so much for your hard work. And bringing an amazing rom to our device.
Only got my note last week and all I have installed so fast is your work. And loving it to :good:

Sure =)
1. make sure you are on a recovery which can flash .img files. I recommend TWRP 2.8.5.0
2. While in recovery go to install, change .zip to img on the bottom right, choose the image and flash the needed recovery which you can find here
3. reboot your phone into recovery
4. F2FS is not mandatory - the install.zip formats /system automatically into F2FS. But as aaz03 recommended to get full feature of F2FS and the ROM format /cache and /data to F2FS as well. You can do that in recovery with wipe - advanced wipe - select cache - click on repair or change file system - click on change file system - choose F2FS and confirm with a swipe. Do that as well for data. But as mentioned you can run /cache, /data in ext4 as well.
5. Flash gapps and you're done.
If you decide to format /data into F2FS make sure you backup everything in internal storage as you'll lose those files etc. in there
Click to collapse
But what if i don't want to use F2FS? Can you please make a ext4 rom?
FOR GOD'S SAKE F2FS IS NOT MANDATORY, THE ROM JUST SUPPORTS IT YOU DON'T HAVE TO FORMAT EVERYTHING TO F2FS TO USE THIS ROM. YOU CAN PERFECTLY USE IT WITHOUT DOING ANY CHANGE TO PARTITIONS! EXT4 IS PERFECTLY WORKING

Sent from my GT-I9305 using XDA Free mobile app
Fingers crossed this one will actually work! Any idea of an ETA?
slimrom is the best, cant wait
Could you say what is the base for this rom? Why exactly you chosen to compile SlimLP, not some other more feature-packed rom? [emoji14]
Just wondering and looking forward to testing a cm based slim lp?!? Sounds interesting and new for me ...can you share your local manifest? Are your sources on github?
can´t wait to test but will the cm12 musicplayer and musicfx be in this rom?
My sources aren't on github.com for the simple reason that I can't upload it, my upload rate is 100kb/s so imagine the time it'd get for 20gb... But I'll upload my local manifest. It'll be based on cm12 as atm we don't have an aosp base so I'll do with what I got.
Why slim ? Because we don't have slim on our device and it's known to work well with optimizations
EDIT: -08 March 2015 : Build started, pray for it

it is uploading or you are building this?
However, SlimLP is less feature-packed than any other ROMs. And I somehow prefer to have aaaaall possible options to configure my phone
I got a Optipop build finished from sources but it doesn't boot...does not even pass the samsung boot logo. I think its because of the kernel, which is DerTeufels CM kernel without changes. Any idea what I have to change and/or which kernel I could/should try? Cm-12-Boeffla 3.0 alpha 9 I have already tried, but with same result ....
One option is Boeffla 3.0 and the other is latest PSN kernel. These two are working for different roms
Well f*ck ,seems like it doesn't found the linux/videodev.h while compiling hwcomposer, i installed libv4l-dev and done the trick to use the new replacement videodev version but still not
when you gonna upload the rom I'm waiting anxiously. @aaz03
When I will find Wtf is going wrong with videodev.h
EDIT: Changelog updated , keep an eye on it i'll update as soon I have news.
SOON...

Edit: Looks like dnd was on by default, all sound working well now. Camera doesn't seem to work, but Camera Zoom does (and who uses the n7 camera anyway). Layers work. So far so good!

Just FYI, if you provide a binary of a kernel you must offer sources as per GPL
I do not need it (I am done with N7 work) but you are otherwise on shaky legal ground

[ROM][6.0.1_r68][Grouper|Tilapia][9Sep2016 FINAL & DU-11...]DirtyUnicorns v.10.6

This is an unofficial build of DirtyUnicorns v-10.x for Neuxs 7 (2012).
**Click the above logo to visit the official DirtyUnicorns siteRelease notes:
2016/9/9
Dirty Unicorns v10.6 Android 6.0.1_r68 (MTC20L). This is the FINAL DU-10.x.
As a bonus, I uploaded the first DU-11.0 for those interested to test... See post #96
2016/8/3
Dirty Unicorns v10.4 Android 6.0.1_r62 (MTC20F).
2016/7/7
This is the Dirty Unicorns v10.3 update.
2016/6/9
Dirty Unicorns merged Android 6.0.1_r46 (MOB30M) now.
2016/5/15
This is the Dirty Unicorns v10.2. DU merged Android 6.0.1_r43 now.
2016/4/29
This is the Dirty Unicorns v10.1. In this build, I modified the settings of activity manager and service. Hoping to improve the overall performance and memory management. The ApkPermission script is updated. Hoping to aware of any combination of flashing. Cheers!
2016/4/16
This is an version update. DU merged Android 6.0.1_r30 now.
HISTORY:
2016/4/6
This is an version update. DU merged Android 6.0.1_r24 now. The native AOSP "Tap to wake" (DT2W) Display settings is implemented. For those who want to use other performance control apks (eg. TricksterMod), you can still enjoy the DT2W feature. Cheers!
Note: Don't enable set on boot of DT2W in PerformanceControl if you want the native AOSP settings to take over.
2016/3/31
The current Gapps have permission issues again. Flash this View attachment gapps-perm-patch.zip after the ROM and Gapps would fix the permission of Gapps at reboot. This patch is universal. If your ROM support init.d, it would work for you too.
Theory: I didn't want to change the original security of AOSP so I put an init.d script to fix the permission at start. It would be the same as the assignment of permission in App settings. The default security and permissions hierarchy is preserved. I think this is the better way.
However, the current growth of ROM and Gapps delay the Package Manager service (which is for permission granting). A wait loop is now added to the script. It would wait for the Package Manage service now.
2016/3/29
NFC apk is missing in DU. I prepared the View attachment du-nfc-patch-20160329.zip. Flash it in recovery will get the NFC back.
2016/3/28
In this build, the Power HAL is adjusted for the O/C frequencies. The latest kernel patch and DT2W adjustments are included. A few bugs are fixed. Cheers!
2016/3/20
The last DU for Tilapia fail to detect the SIM. A library is missing. There is a patch in my Omni6 thread. It would fix this issue.
2016/3/12
I have been building DU for other devices for sometimes. It feels quite good and balance in many ways. I long for the Official (or Unofficial) build too. I tested building DU late last year. There were still some glitches which required quite a few patches so I picked Omni. At that time Omni was comparatively stable. Omni is good but I want to try something new for myself after a few months. I think DU is ready now so its time to kick my slothful ass for a new daily driver. DU is the first (I think) one merging 6.0.1_r22. Cheers!
Note:If you are from Omni (or AOSP based ROM?) like me, you probably don't needed to do factory reset. Just wipe cache/dalvik and your apps current state is most likely preserved.

Gapps: Banks Gapps is included in DU's site but I didn't try it myself.
** We have a 650M system partition. Only have room for pico Gapps.
All those with pico Gapps is recommended. (eg. OpenGapps)
** latest TWRP is recommended.
DU is already rooted.
If you are from Omni (or AOSP based ROM?) like me, you probably don't needed to do factory reset. Just wipe cache/dalvik and your current state (apps) would mostly likely be resumed.

Hi Daniel, Thanks for the DU build. I haven't gotten around to flashing it yet but from grouper not having any DU Marshmallow builds, now we have 2 unofficial builds. Looks like the other build http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-7/orig-development/rom-dirty-unicorns-grouper-edition-t3334912 is from one of the DU team members, @chasmodo.
Just figured I'd let you know. Thanks again.

Really, I didn't know that. I might drop grouper later then. I was thinking this was the first 6.0.1_r22..
Here is the experimental pool I mentioned earlier. I just upload a test kernel with kexec patch and zRAM support. I don't think I would install MultiROM on my Tilapia recently. There are just too many projects in hand.... Anyone want to test it may report to the DC-kernel thread or PM me.

Takes pic but when look at it in gallery looks distorted, also fc when switch to video
Trying post pic
Perfect, will flash it later as our internet provider is down! And please don't quit support for grouper as YOUR kernel is included and it's flashable with pico gapps... The build from chasmodo is kinda slow... And definitely i want to try the experimental kernel for MultiROM
As stated by @Valsorim, camera app shows distorted pic and video force closes. I installed opencamera.apk and both camera and video work fine. In Performance Control/Advanced Settings, when I tick/untick Force high end graphics, I get a force close but the setting I choose does stick. I've been setting performance at CPU 204/1500Mhz, GPU446Mhz and so far it seems to be pretty good for me with the new kexec patch test kernel.
Overall, cool rom that's working well. Thanks.
Mike T
As promised a small feedback. I've flashed this as secondary in MultiROM. So your test kernel with kexec hardboot patch's working well on Slimkat 9.1 which is primary. I've OC'ed the CPU slightly with 102/1600 Mhz, GPU 486 Mhz... I've used Trickster for the settings as I'm not sure that the performance control app is sticking the settings after reboot. But I'll investigate about. Not to forget i use the parrotgeek-Mod, so i can confirme it's compatible with your DU-build and the test kernel...
Thank you very much, it's my new daily driver
I also installed this with the previously mentioned Parrotgeek Mod. It's an excellent combination. I haven't used my grouper this much in months. Now to start exploring Fling.

Extracting/Copying the .apk from system and reinstalling did the trick! Performance Control is working now... About a minute after reboot there's is an information that the root access is granted and the settings are sticked... So no Trickster Mod needed anymore ?
But DT2W is still a bit like the fortune wheel!
Daniel, thanks for today's new build! :good:

Maybe it is time to change. Making a post for a new release has the added advantage of bumping your thread back toward the top of the list.
Fyi, so far new build running with no issues on my grouper except stock video camera is still FC'ing for me. I have been using Open Camera, which works great for me but wanted to test stock camera to see if video was working. Btw, I did a dirty flash over the previous DU build. Maybe a clean flash would fix the stock video camera but since I'm using Open Camera, I didn't bother.
As always, thanks for your excellent work!
Mike T
Hi Daniel, great ROM all OK. I have used your kernel with pure nexus and it is good. Now i have flashed (dirty, wipe system, cache and dalvik) your rom but i dont find NFC option .... Is this a problem DU?? With pure nexus NFC is OK.
Sorry for bad english.

Introduction:
CodeX makes your device even snappier than before. Being a battery and performance balanced kernel it never compromises on stability. You know why? Cause your device deserves it! CodeX main priority is battery. More Juice equals More Fun. Introducing the new CodeX Kernel Updater, which downloads the latest builds available from the remote server and flashes it automatically! All you need is network access to download the latest builds from the app. Then just click the Flash Kernel option in the navigation menu to flash the kernel. This app flashes the kernel through TWRP automatically and reboots your device with the latest CodeX Kernel
Rules that CodeX follow:
Be up to date with linux-stable
Stability and Security are at peaks
Features will be added based on Stability (If some feature breaks the stability, then I'll need to break it)
Have fun. And yeah, let me know if you need any feature. I'll always consider user opinions. But as I said, If that feature breaks the stability then I'll consider removing it!
Okay, time for most Interesting part, FEATURES!
Features:
OTA
More Juice
Built with clang-7.0.2
Latest CAF upstream tag merged (LA.UM.6.2.r2-04800-sdm660.0)

2. Flash both of them in TWRP/RWRP.
3. Reboot and enjoy
Downloads:
CodeX Updater:
Don't install any of these APKs directly without flashing the Version 1.0 zip! (If you do so, Flashing Kernel option crashes the app!)
Version 1.1 It is a zip to install the app with the right privileges. The app has auto-updater for latest releases
CodeX Kernel:
Version 1.3
Version 1.4
Version 1.5
Version 1.6
Version 1.7
FAQs:
1. Can you add xyz feature?
A. As already said, I'll always consider user opinions. But as I said, If that feature breaks the stability then I'll consider removing it!
2. Why the app needs internet for loading changelog or while flashing kernel?
A. Well, the app tries to load the latest changelog available in the remote server. And regarding flashing kernel, it makes sure that you're flashing latest version of the kernel.
3. Battery drains a lot! Damn CodeX?!
A. I've added most of the battery patches to the kernel. Still if battery drains faster for you, then consider either calibrating your battery or use an app like BetterBatteryStats to know what's causing the drain. Alternatively, I suggest using Greenify.
4. Which ROMs does this kernel support?
A. Have a look at the title. Only AOSP/LOS based ROMs. Though you can try it on MIUI, but you may face bugs
5. Why does the app says CodeX not found?
A. Well, I made this app to work exclusively with CodeX Kernel. I may plan to support other kernels in the future.
6. App Force closes on clicking Flash Kernel?
A. Make sure that you have your Updater in the system.
Thanks to:
@AxelBlaz3 for inviting me to continue his project. He'll work on it when he finds time.
@mihran_thalhath for helping me with some kernel things :good:
@sscsps for his cloud. CodeX shouldn't be existing without him
@Psycho-Mods for helping me in UI designing and fixing weird bugs in the CodeX Updater app.
@Shahan_mik3 for DT2W on custom ROMs.
@shekhawat2 for qcacld driver (Wi-Fi fix).
@nathanchance for the commits I've cherry-picked.
@Sultanxda for several battery and performance commits.
@franciscofranco for battery tweaks.
@osm0sis for AnyKernel2
