This is an unofficial build of DirtyUnicorns v-10.x for Neuxs 7 (2012).

2016/9/9
Dirty Unicorns v10.6 Android 6.0.1_r68 (MTC20L). This is the FINAL DU-10.x.
As a bonus, I uploaded the first DU-11.0 for those interested to test... See post #96
2016/8/3
Dirty Unicorns v10.4 Android 6.0.1_r62 (MTC20F).
2016/7/7
This is the Dirty Unicorns v10.3 update.
2016/6/9
Dirty Unicorns merged Android 6.0.1_r46 (MOB30M) now.
2016/5/15
This is the Dirty Unicorns v10.2. DU merged Android 6.0.1_r43 now.
2016/4/29
This is the Dirty Unicorns v10.1. In this build, I modified the settings of activity manager and service. Hoping to improve the overall performance and memory management. The ApkPermission script is updated. Hoping to aware of any combination of flashing. Cheers!
2016/4/16
This is an version update. DU merged Android 6.0.1_r30 now.
HISTORY:
2016/4/6
This is an version update. DU merged Android 6.0.1_r24 now. The native AOSP "Tap to wake" (DT2W) Display settings is implemented. For those who want to use other performance control apks (eg. TricksterMod), you can still enjoy the DT2W feature. Cheers!
Note: Don't enable set on boot of DT2W in PerformanceControl if you want the native AOSP settings to take over.
2016/3/31
The current Gapps have permission issues again. Flash this View attachment gapps-perm-patch.zip after the ROM and Gapps would fix the permission of Gapps at reboot. This patch is universal. If your ROM support init.d, it would work for you too.
Theory: I didn't want to change the original security of AOSP so I put an init.d script to fix the permission at start. It would be the same as the assignment of permission in App settings. The default security and permissions hierarchy is preserved. I think this is the better way.
However, the current growth of ROM and Gapps delay the Package Manager service (which is for permission granting). A wait loop is now added to the script. It would wait for the Package Manage service now.
2016/3/29
NFC apk is missing in DU. I prepared the View attachment du-nfc-patch-20160329.zip. Flash it in recovery will get the NFC back.
2016/3/28
In this build, the Power HAL is adjusted for the O/C frequencies. The latest kernel patch and DT2W adjustments are included. A few bugs are fixed. Cheers!
2016/3/20
The last DU for Tilapia fail to detect the SIM. A library is missing. There is a patch in my Omni6 thread. It would fix this issue.
2016/3/12
I have been building DU for other devices for sometimes. It feels quite good and balance in many ways. I long for the Official (or Unofficial) build too. I tested building DU late last year. There were still some glitches which required quite a few patches so I picked Omni. At that time Omni was comparatively stable. Omni is good but I want to try something new for myself after a few months. I think DU is ready now so its time to kick my slothful ass for a new daily driver. DU is the first (I think) one merging 6.0.1_r22. Cheers!
Note:If you are from Omni (or AOSP based ROM?) like me, you probably don't needed to do factory reset. Just wipe cache/dalvik and your apps current state is most likely preserved.

Hi Daniel, Thanks for the DU build. I haven't gotten around to flashing it yet but from grouper not having any DU Marshmallow builds, now we have 2 unofficial builds. Looks like the other build http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-7/orig-development/rom-dirty-unicorns-grouper-edition-t3334912 is from one of the DU team members, @chasmodo.
Just figured I'd let you know. Thanks again.

Really, I didn't know that. I might drop grouper later then. I was thinking this was the first 6.0.1_r22..
Here is the experimental pool I mentioned earlier. I just upload a test kernel with kexec patch and zRAM support. I don't think I would install MultiROM on my Tilapia recently. There are just too many projects in hand.... Anyone want to test it may report to the DC-kernel thread or PM me.

I didn't know either until this morning. Also, yours was the first build by about 2 hours. LOL I'll test out the kernel with kexec later and let you know. Thanks.

It's running great here c Pico open gapps and @parrotgeek1 universal mod. Is running smooth and fast, only camera issue so far. Thanks for building for grouper

Takes pic but when look at it in gallery looks distorted, also fc when switch to video

Trying post pic

Perfect, will flash it later as our internet provider is down! And please don't quit support for grouper as YOUR kernel is included and it's flashable with pico gapps... The build from chasmodo is kinda slow... And definitely i want to try the experimental kernel for MultiROM

As stated by @Valsorim, camera app shows distorted pic and video force closes. I installed opencamera.apk and both camera and video work fine. In Performance Control/Advanced Settings, when I tick/untick Force high end graphics, I get a force close but the setting I choose does stick. I've been setting performance at CPU 204/1500Mhz, GPU446Mhz and so far it seems to be pretty good for me with the new kexec patch test kernel.
Overall, cool rom that's working well. Thanks.
Mike T

As promised a small feedback. I've flashed this as secondary in MultiROM. So your test kernel with kexec hardboot patch's working well on Slimkat 9.1 which is primary. I've OC'ed the CPU slightly with 102/1600 Mhz, GPU 486 Mhz... I've used Trickster for the settings as I'm not sure that the performance control app is sticking the settings after reboot. But I'll investigate about. Not to forget i use the parrotgeek-Mod, so i can confirme it's compatible with your DU-build and the test kernel...
Thank you very much, it's my new daily driver

I also installed this with the previously mentioned Parrotgeek Mod. It's an excellent combination. I haven't used my grouper this much in months. Now to start exploring Fling.

Extracting/Copying the .apk from system and reinstalling did the trick! Performance Control is working now... About a minute after reboot there's is an information that the root access is granted and the settings are sticked... So no Trickster Mod needed anymore ?
But DT2W is still a bit like the fortune wheel!

Daniel, thanks for today's new build! :good:

Maybe it is time to change. Making a post for a new release has the added advantage of bumping your thread back toward the top of the list.
Fyi, so far new build running with no issues on my grouper except stock video camera is still FC'ing for me. I have been using Open Camera, which works great for me but wanted to test stock camera to see if video was working. Btw, I did a dirty flash over the previous DU build. Maybe a clean flash would fix the stock video camera but since I'm using Open Camera, I didn't bother.
As always, thanks for your excellent work!
Mike T

Hi Daniel, great ROM all OK. I have used your kernel with pure nexus and it is good. Now i have flashed (dirty, wipe system, cache and dalvik) your rom but i dont find NFC option .... Is this a problem DU?? With pure nexus NFC is OK.
Sorry for bad english.

About
From the G+ page:: Welcome to Euphoria-OS where you will be in a state of intense excitement and happiness with your device!
My build: This is little side project that might grow into something bigger if time permits. EOS is successor of famous Mahdi ROM. I always wanted to try it, but nobody would do it while we were on KitKat. So here it is, built completely from AOSP sources, using CM device tree.

It is a good habit doing a factory reset after flashing. If you are from earlier version or similar AOSP based ROM, like Omni, you might not need a factory reset. Just wipe cache/dalvik and your current state (apps & data) would be resumed.
When you encounter crashes after flashing, that means the system data is beyond fixed. You need a factory reset to recovery.

Hi, glad to see one more 7.0 for our devices.
Just 1 questions : is this rom/kernel compatible with F2FS in DATA & CACHE partitions ?
Nice... thank you!
great work another great rom - NFC seems to be missing but love your work so far
I don't know if it bug or not, but sometime I can't do slide to unlock after turning on my device
this is working fantastically. better than AOSP. great work!
I think supporting NFC module is fantastic!
我认为如果在下一版本支持NFC才是极好的!

DU use NfcNci. I forgot to change that. See if I can make a patch for this later.

Rom fast but camera not working!
Hi,
can you please provide shasum for your rom ?
many thanks for bringing 7 to N7 - 2012
Good Job :good:
Which version of gapps should I use? 6.0 or 7.0?
EDIT: At initial setting, a message saying "Settings keeps stopping"
Installed rom last night (system in EXT4 , CACHE & DATA in F2FS) with no problem
Its fast, never had a FC and everything seems to work except video playback (BSPLAYER has to switch to software mode to be able to play, KODI complains about incompatibility when loading libkodi.so and cant play videos). Tried several players and all fail to play video using hardware decoding.
Antutu gives +/- 24000 !!!!
Great job for the first release
now, if you can give us a video player fix it would be awesome !
Dirty Unicorns on Android N? I thought it was still a WIP. Thanks for the ROM, I hope someone can make a video testing it.
thank you!:D :手指划线:
I can confirm video/hardware acceleration is messed up/glitchy. In youtube the screen somtimes is blank/black with sound and mx player plus other similar players will not go into hardware acceleration mode but software works fine most of the time. Other than that it has been a solid build. Will post back if i come across any other issues. Thanks for the work Daniel.
I have formatted all partitions as F2FS and installed this ROM with no issues.
Nano Gapps would not install, Pico version installed fine.
No FC upon boot.
One question... Is ParrotMod necessary with this ROM?
Flashed just fine, installed google apps using aroma installer. Works great except google play services is completely unusable, crashing the instant I try to use anything google related.

Proper Issue Reporting
Make sure you are seeing the issue on a CLEAN install! If the problem pops up after a dirty flash, wipe data/factory reset and see if it still happens before reporting it
Make sure you have not flashed anything extra, such as 3rd party kernels, SuperSU, Magisk, Xposed, etc. These extra packages can cause their own issues. As above, try a full wipe and then only flash the ROM package and Gapps package, and see if the issue persists before reporting
In your report please include the following:
Issue you are seeing, and how to recreate it
Logcat/kmesg from right after the issue if possible
Build date of ROM you are running
Gapps package you have installed

I don't know about nfc, as I never use nfc, but I can confirm that Bluetooth calls work, at least for some Bluetooth devices. I have a Plantronics Legend bt headset, and I can make Bluetooth calls on it. With that being said, I have received reports of some bt devices not working, so ymmv
Button backlight, just as in Nougat AOKP, doesn't work at all. Only in the button settings menu does it come on. They work fine on RRO or LA15.1.
That's what i've found so far.
I'm testing your build to see if the infamous rotation bug from LA15.1 and RRO is present in AOKP and so far it looks good but i need more time to test it.
Running clean install of AOKP with internal root and 23-04 GApps Mini FYI.

Thanks for the report! I'm aware of the button backlight issue as well, I didn't include it in the know issues since it was a carryover from Nougat. I have had a report of rotation issues from Oreo builds, not sure if it affects everyone or just some people, but I am looking into a fix by trader418 that was mentioned to me. By LA15.1, are you referring to LineageOS 15.1? I'll see if I can dig something up on the button backlight issue.
[Edit]
Also, the GApps Mini you are running, is it from OpenGApps?

Yup OpenGApps Mini. And yeah i meant Lineage. It for some reason always autocorrects a single letter L to LA..
I don't know what the rotation issue is. I mean, some people have it a lot, like me, and some people like vidwhal himself cannot for the life of them recreate it. It has something to do with the accelerometer that just stops giving any values. And so far, it seems that your AOKP build is the most stable so far in terms of rotation. I'm going to continue to set up the ROM with my apps and preferences and i'll see if it keeps working.
Edit: Blast it.. it looked so promising.. didn't have any rotation issues for hours.. and suddenly out of nowhere it stopped working again completely and accelerometer has once again stopped giving any values in Sensors Mutlitool...
Ok, what did i do.. ehm.. installed some apps like chrome, and substratum.. customized my homescreen with the shortcuts i use.. loaded up BigBlu in substratum (works perfectly with AOSP mode btw.) installed adaway (root), used titanium backup (root) to restore my Steam app (so that I don't have to re-activate the steam authenticator), loaded up adaway and thats when i noticed chrome had stopped rotating when i wanted to test adaway..
Was about to reboot into recovery to install xposed v90 beta3 and Gravitybox O so i can center my clock in the statusbar and rebind the back button long press to flashlight but i guess that doesn't really make much sense now that it has stopped working..
Funny thing is, not even a full reboot will fix it. Once it stops working.. it's just done for. With a full power off and reboot it will work for a few seconds after boot but that stops again.
I do have to add on a positive note, i have never had a Oreo rom THIS ridiculously smooth and quick. This ROM runs amazing.. And it has VERY low battery drain when in use. It drains even slower when just using the web or installing stuff than even the best TW6.0 ROMs do.. Incredible. It easily rivals or beats RRN 5.8.5 in terms of smoothness and responsiveness.
Congrats on your new thread bro. It's getting into a right direction now @shane87. So glad to woke up from sleep and seeing the auto rotation still works.
Usually the auto rotation failed within minutes after fiddling with google maps on previous test build and on other oreo rom. Will see it further, hopefully the issue is gone for good now.
Thanks..
Edit: really a one crazy bug this sensor issue. It happening again after a reboot ?
Now that you mentioned it.. I did also reboot before it happened again. It was fine for hours even after maps and setting up the entire ROM but after I applied my substratum theme I rebooted to make sure it applied to all open apps as well and that's when it started again..
I did make a full nandroid of the failed system.. So if you want me to test something I can just put that back.
You guys with the rotation bug, I'm looking in to a possible fix by trader418 that was mentioned by another one of my testers. I have to do some digging and see if I can find how he fixed it. It's so odd. On Nougat, my wife's Note 3 (my only test device) never had the rotation bug. I haven't ran Oreo on it enough to see if it has the rotation bug on Oreo, though I may do that this weekend.
One question for those experiencing the rotation bug: what model is your Note 3?

N9005 here..
I have zero issues on any Nougat ROM as well. That's what makes it frustrating to fix.
Mines also a N9005.

From the errors given in the log, the multiboot patcher did not patch the zip file correctly. All of the errors were from the zip file being corrupted. So either the file was corrupted during download, or during patching.
With all of that being said, I can't help with issues on dualboot setups. I have never used any of the dualboot setups. Any issues with dualboot need to be taken to the dualboot thread.
thanks good as a daily driver already

No, N900T has it's own device tree and separate builds. This is for hlte devices, N9005 and N900P
Alright guys, I have been doing some digging into @trader418 and I can't find anything in particular that helps the rotation bug. In his unofficial Lineage 14 thread, he mentions some cm/los updates that fixed the rotation issues, but doesn't mention the exact commit. Also, it sounds like those changes should already be in these builds, since AOKP's hlte device trees, and kernel source, are forked from LineageOS trees. And I do make sure to pull in the latest LOS changes. So I am still stumped on the rotation bug. On to better news. I have just finished a new build, with the latest AOKP changes synced in. I also pulled in some open commits that add customizable header image support. Along with a few open commits from LOS, mostly to do with phone call audio, so hopefully that may help with BT issues. I am going to do some personal testing before I upload, so be patient, new goodies are on their way!

AICPAndroid Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

You tell...
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Lollipop. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes
KERNEL:
Kernel in this rom follows CM source with custom additions.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.
If you want to contribute to the AICP or wanna see what is being worked on/merge feel free to visit our gerrit, link is at the bottom!!!

Thanks for the smoooooth rom. But I encountered some problems.
1. Assigning custom button action from settings>system>button does not works.
2. It says volume rocker is separately handles in aicp extras. but I was not able to find it.
3. Phone heats up while playing vides. Thus battery decreases rapidly.

1. Button remapping needs to be fixed by AICP devs it isn't a device specific issue.
2. If you observed closely I copy pasted the old thread template with just new download links so just don't take the features seriously from the old list, I will update the thread with time.
3. Yep should happen the oreo perf blobs and the kernel cpu boosting which are implemented to keep the device smooth require resources so the drain while usage is acceptable. Since, when the video is being played and any touch event is found kernel boots the cpu to max! To maintain the smoothness so temp kicks off to margin. Its 2019 with a Snap410 No one has time to sit and tune for both performance and power efficiency now since the chip is old its no fun writing and tuning hals for it anyway if you come accross some better tuning config share it with others as I told already my mate I tuned it for performance.
COOL <3
Superb work.
two things i couldn't

Did you do a proper clean flash i.e have you wiped the internal storage before flash? If you did a dirty flash then have you wiped both the caches before reboot and what variant do you use 1GB or 2GB?
Also after the flash give build little time to settle i.e let the device cool down for our case so cpu isn't throttled (A6000 is using very basic untuned thermal implementation in the kernel side) and is performing at its max while you rate it.

this build lags than 14 dec build. that built kernel settings were best we had, in my opinion coz it was blazing supetfast. touch was soo resonsive. while opening apps or settings, when touching button it reacted like boom boom boom boom. u know what i mean. but this build takes a time to respond
& i always prefer to clean flash. 1gb varient here.

Fact is I didn't even touched the damn kernel only toolchain was changed ?? and to the button settings all what i changed was the hardware vibration pattern maybe gcc-8 isn't polished enough like old gcc-7 that we were using earlier that might have caused perf regressions where as no such regressions are visible on 2 GB ram variant I guess I will examine further if this continues we will switch back to old tested trusted gcc.

Quiet true lol, it takes a couple days to make it bootable.
I haven't use it as my daily driver, so i can't tell.
But from my analysis through the logcats, main function should be working properly, but yeah i haven't do detailed test yet.

Of all the Roms you build, which one is your daily driver now? Thanks bro...

this one bro
will try it tonight. New rom + your usual old lineage kernel settings
thanks
EDIT - so far so good. smooth and blissful. I had to flash November gapps to get it working (recent one ends up in bootloop even after rebooting to recovery).
I am looking for a new ROM to refresh my device, from stock. The BlissROM screenshots caught my attention! So, how stable is it for day to day operations? Anything not working? Battery life? Call quality? Thank you for your feedback!
Is this ROM the most customizable out of all the other pie ROMs?
[UPDATE]
Bliss-v11.5-lithium-UNOFFICIAL-20190211-1329.zip
- bump to Bliss v11.5
- added Wifi Display blobs and feature
- eliminate lots of background errors and unimportant logs for sleeker performance and better battery
- problem (not booting) when using latest GAPPS package should be fixed now
for this release, i really advise that you clean flash it, but feel free to try dirty flash as long as you know how to restore if it doesn't boot.

guys, sorry for the delay of the rom upload, sourceforge have some problems right now, so i'll upload ASAP when sourceforge come back online.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the rom has uploaded now, sorry for the delay.
Dear Developer: any plans to upload all those amazing changes to github (or wherever) so that the lowly wanna-be mere compilers can learn from the masters? In OP you say device and kernel trees are lineageos' ones and those might be the base but obviously not the actual trees you are using. Just asking, as this is xda and opensource development and hacking and all that.
Thank you very much.
Sourceforge ready?

all of the works to fix the errors, get rid of unimportant or false log activity, and boost power-saving, is not in the device and kernel tree, most of the works done in the frameworks code and hals code, which is different between rom variant.
nothing much done in the device tree except updating gpu blobs and firmwares, tweaking sound xml, fixing selinux policy.
and the kernel, is already uptodate on my github source, not much to do, just nitpick some power-save and performance based commits, adding little features, the rest of the work should be done by the users to setting-up the kernel using kernel managers as i described on HDRX Kernel thread. it won't be much different compared to other kernel if the other kernel forked from los kernel too, except some features and a little better power-save and performance.
too lazy to play much on the kernel because the other devs already develop good kernel too, so i just improve los kernel a little bit and that's the end of it.

Thanks for your reply.
It had not even crossed my mind that you were touching the code of projects in the frameworks and hardware sections. Impressive. I'll check in case you have those uploaded in your github, I am very curious as to how on earth to do that.
Nice job. Congrats.
[UPDATE]
Bliss-v11.5-lithium-UNOFFICIAL-20190214-1055.zip
- fixing background/native audioserver crash loop. now all good, so when you use audio mod, the audio mod will keep active consistently
- remove unsupported media codecs, it's bugging me when it appears on logcat
- tweak thermal configurations, remove wrong config value and reduce the heat a little bit
Sorry for a noob question. Is smartbar integrated here ? I wanna use omniswitch for my recent via smartbar ?
I found a bug on navbar. I disabled it to use edgestures (that are working amazing) but after a reboot or device is locked for a few min. The navbar is visible again but setting still show that navbar is disabled. So have to reenable the option
