Hi,
I am usually a reader but on the last few month I am facing with signal problem on oneplus one, cm 13.
After a lot of searching I finally isolated the problem:
4G works fine- only data
H+ works fine when there is fully signal. Usually makes problems.
G works fine data and calls.
H- calls works only if there is fully H signal, 90% from the times if there is not full H signal phone calls are not able.
This what I tried to do:
I changed to lte/gsm, and made the default network 3G.
Notice ***: when I try to make a call the network changed from 4g to H+ or H, and after few seconds it shows call ended.
What I tried to do:
1. Factory reset - did not solve the problem.
2. Change mobile company- did not solve the problem.
3. I rooted the device and unlocked bootloader, then through twrp 2.8.3 I flashed 44s modem flashable, and it only broke my proximity sensors, then I flashed tugasensorsfix and it repair the proximity sensors. But still I can not call people!! Only on 2g but Who can live on 2g network??
I am desperate to help, I will appriciate any Kind of help.
Thank you,
Ido Levi! .

Hi all,
i noticed that my phone (drops/do not) receive calls if i was connected to the internet through the data plan, but it works just fine if i was connected through WiFi, any ideas?
PS: i changed many radios but still the same.
When the calls fail, is the phone is on 2G mode or 3G mode?
i was having a bad reception on 3G so i switched to GSM Only option.

That could be the problem - as 2G does not allow data and voice/text at the same time, could be that because data is active, calls are being dropped. Try disabling data for a while and see if the problem goes away.
yes that is correct, when the send & receive bars of the data is blinking i cant receive calls, otherwise i can receive calls with no problems.
i will try to switch back to 3G and test how it's gonna work.
thanks for your help.
No problem. I had this problem a lot before on my HTC Legend using the stock ROM. While on 2G mode, people would tell me my phone would keep going to voicemail even though I had full reception, and sometimes I would receive texts really late. It was very annoying as I never had the problem previously on Nokia phoens.
However, since switching to CyanogenMod on the Legend, and also on the Desire S, I haven't noticed the problem as much.
Have the same problem on same carrier,
Sometimes, an SMS notifies me that someone has tried to contact me with no success !!
I thought this was carrier related, but never thought this is 3G/2G radio problem on stock ROM!!
Will give the "GSM Only" option a try and will report back.
Thank you all !!!
Hi,
I have noticed that the switch between GPRS and HSDPA does not work good if i receive a call. Lately it has happend often, that phone calls only last a few seconds and then the connection fails. I normaly have medium signal strenght and the "H" in the statusbar and after the short phonecall the "G". When I call back the phonecall works fine. The ROM is Fallout and the Radio 20.48.30.0822U_3822.09.08.20_M. I'm in Germany and use the vodafone-network with 1+1.
Would a radio update help? When yes the one to 20.4801.30.0822U_3822.10.08.04 or the virtous-rom one(that update-file contains more elements are they all needed or just the radio.img?).
Has someone expirienced the same issue?
Thanks alot!
Seems like either a radio issue or a simcard problem.. Had the same disconnecting calls isuue as you and turned out that the sim itself was the culprit. Try having the sim replaced at your operator and if that doesn't work you can do a radio upgrade. I'm currently on the virtuous leaked radio and it worked wonders for me in terms of reception and battery life also so i recommend it..
Hello all,
I am facing an annoying problem with my OPO.
Whenever my phone connects to 3G (as indicated by the icon displaying signal strength) i cannot use internet/data or receive/make phone calls. Everything works fine when connected to 2G, H+ or 4G/LTE (4G does not support calls in my area, but data works).
I am currently running CM12.1 (YOG4PAS3JL), but have tried several roms (Pac-man, Sultan, exodus, CM11, CM13). I have tried different APN settings. I have also tried different simcards from different providers, and tested my own simcard in another phone (where 3G works).
Can anyone tell me if this is a software or hardware problem, and maybe even suggest a possible solution ?
Thank you in advance.

Same issue here, couldn't find any solution.
For me it was a hardware issue. I had to send it for repair. I think they changed the motherboard. Anyway this helped... If possible, I suggest you do the same.

Maybe it's just the network antenna causing issues.
I really need help with my device, I searched all over XDA and no-one seems to have the same issue as me.
Here is some information:
1) Nexus 6P (H1511)
2) 6.0.1 Absolute stock, no rom, no root, no custom recovery. Build number MMB29P.
Recently got a new Nexus 6P and imported to Russia. All of the major bands here are supported. And the phone worked excellent for a few weeks, but then it lost all 3G or GSM connectivity. Just randomly, didn't do anything with it, the only thing I did is move to another city but than I got back, the issue didn't resolve. LTE works perfectly but can't call or receive calls, can receive sms though. Reseting network settings and factory reset changed nothing. Tried manualy set network to WCDMA or GSM with *#*#4636#*#* command, the moment I switch to anything besides LTE the connection is lost. Contacted the provider, no problem on their side, my SIM works good in other phones, my phone with other SIMs - no.
I don't think it is a hardware issue because a few times I managed to get everything working after an hour of switching networks and bands with no particular order in the *#*#4636#*#* testing mode.
After a while I figured that if I set phone to "GSM only" on USA bands in testing mode, but at the same time set it to "LTE prefered" in the normal network settings menu. I am able to set phone to Band mode 7 and set the network back to 2G in network settings keeping it on " GSM only" the whole time and only after this compicated algorithm and after a reboot 2G and 3G starts working. But any reboot after that revertes everything back to only LTE stage. Also if I get everything working but than reset network settings everything stops working again.
I have no idea what caused such an issue, I really hope someone can help.
Sorry couldn't post screenshots because of the "10 posts rule".
