[DEV] Galaxy S7 Edge .PIT files - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Guides, News, & Disc

I've seen someone ask for these, so here they are. But FIRST.
Disclaimer:
By choosing to download and/or use any below files, you agree with the following statements:
1. I am responsible for my own actions. I understand the risks involved with rooting and modifying my device, and take full responsibility for the outcome (voided warranty, bricking, zombie apocolypse).
2. I understand that these are to be used in ODIN and I KNOW WHAT THEY DO. But as a general practice, making changes to the system partition has it's inherent dangers and possible unwanted side effects up to, and including, turning me beautiful phone into a paperwieght.
3. I am familiar with the Xda rules.
SO... If you do not understand what these do or how to use them, I highly recommend you do not even try. I believe this statement so strongly that I am not going to explain it here. There is a lot of information out on the interwebs you can search for if you really REALLY want to know.
Downloads: (it's entirely possible these are the exact same files, but why take the chance?)

[Tutorial] How to get a bugfree ICS (expected)on your SGR

Warning: Using ODIN on ICS may brick your phone!
This tutorial is for those who are currently having issues with this ICS update and the phone is very unstable on it.
1. Restore to a GB rom. U can flash using odin but other users are saying that it may brick ur phone.. Do it on your own risk. I have done it with no problems. Indian users do flash zskk5 2.3.6. For other users flash zcla1 or xwla4.
2. Root it. Then install busybox.
3. Use efs backup pro, a windows software, to backup your efs partition. Dont worry, its free..
4. Backup ur sd card and other data.
5. Repartition using apx mode using the unbrick tutorial.
6. Flash a GB rom specified earlier.
7. Again root n install busybox.
8. Restore efs using efs backup pro.
9. Install cwm and restore ICS.
10. Do a factory reset.
Thats it!
If you find it helpful, i am open to recieving thanks!
If you love XDA, please purchase the premium app.

How can u claim that after doing this ICS will be brick free and bug free . Just using unbrick tool will turn emmc immortal seems legit
provide sources or explain this in details.

I must say that you really put the devices under risk.Sorry to say this.Doing wipes/factory reset is the main cause of brick and the same applies to nandroid restore.Odin is considered safe but since 1 guy said he bricked using Odin,I'm not sure if he flashed after his device was affected or the Odin made it.
As of now, those who are in ics,do not wipe or restore backups.stay where you are.

I cannot explain this but it really worked for me.. I have tried every possible way to make my phone stable but this was the only way which worked. Just shared something which i found fruitful but if you dont find it useful u can tell me an another way to do it.. I m cool with anything..

U r provding wrong information to other users, u have mentioned that follow this tut to get brick free ICS, also part of this post are encouraging peoples to use odin on ICS which is claimed dangerous by other user. this can harm peoples around here. After following this tut peoples will be careless about brick bug and might be brick their devices.
We are here to help each other and share but do not share things which could harm others.
Better edit out this post.

Dude is that ok now..?

Dude NEVER recommend factory reset (especially via CWM which is the case here) when dealing with brickbug. It's ok to share your experience, I understand you just tried to help but in such particular case we must be extremely careful, and we cannot think it worked for me once...it will be safe for all others. No, it doesn't work that way. Data wipe is known to be the most common trigger of brickbug. There is already a good thread: [CAUTION][ICS]Read before flashing ICS, and look at Entropy512's posts. He's I guess the best xda-expert in that matter.
And about using Odin... I haven't carried any of those bricked phones in my hand so I cannot state anything for sure, but I'm up to 90% sure that damage was already present before Odin was used (since problems started before). It's highly unlikely that Odin itself can trigger the brick. However problems could become more evident after Odin were trying to write to damaged partition. Any single case has been reported where using of Odin itself was considered as the one that caused damage of partition/chip.
It's a shame that you guys don't have custom ICS-kernels, that would make it much easier.
Yes...Entropy is the guy who first found the bug and showed us some light on it.
OT:LOL...we take the pride that Brick bug first showed up on us(Note users)

wrong part of the board bud - should be in q&a - and in answer to your question - good luck with that one.
the files put out by our devs and chefs are clean - chainfires root files are clean - and im sure someone will link you to a trusted download for Odin.
Go ahead and root it without fear, they seems virus cause for the antiviruses they are malicious codes but the aren't, somehow..
Sent from the past...
Viruses for PC will NEVER affect a mobile device or even another PC running a different OS.
Please search "CF-Autoroot for S4" also please do sufficient research before rooting, how to do it properly and what are it's risks and consequence because viruses are not of the concern.
Anyways wrong thread .

CF-Auto-Root (already mentioned) is the easiest one. Once rooted you can use Mobile Odin (paid app) to install any (Odin compatible) ROM.

Stock firmware

Does anyone know where i can find a working link to the note 5 stock firmware? Every site that i tried sends me to the same place and it doesn't work., or seems like there might be a virus attached.

This would be a good place (safe too) not sure what kinda "virus" @tdunham has these days... but be sure to give him thanks for the link.

Inversion without root?

Just left my years of Nexus phones for this edge and I told myself I wouldn't root since everything runs great and most of the tweaking I would usually do is cosmetic and now native. However, the one thing I miss is inversion of gapps. Is it possible to achieve this without root? I've downloaded various packages from TBO, extracted and attempted to install signed apks with no luck. Any advice would be appreciated.

MetroPCS sm-j700t1 sim unlock app

So I made the mistake of not backing up the MetroPCS sim unlock app and couldn't make a nandroid due to the encryption limitations, which I've since fixed.
I was seeing if anyone could upload the app, then we can also have this for archive purposes and incluebitnin custom ROMs
Anybody? ?
Sent from my Galaxy J7 using XDA Labs
There is the simlocker folder
Thank you very much downloading now
Update: so I placed the files in the priv-app folder and it shows up and runs fine. Unfortunately, I think since I'm running Walker blue v2 and not stock. I get the message saying the app is incompatible with this device. That because the rom reports that it's an S7 I believe.
When I'm eligible for the network unlock, I'm going to flash back to stock.
Just a heads up to anyone that needed this as well.

The link doesn't work can someone re-upload?
