Is there a working xposed for us? - Note Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I tried them all. Won't boot.
Would really appreciate if someone knows of one

SM-N915V. I'm still on 5.0.1 though. Might have to upgrade and see if that version works for me. Thanks

I think for 5.0.1 the ony option is for deodexed rom.

That's what I'm running right now. The stock rooted, deodexed, and Debloated rom. Couldn't get any version to boot with it

Do you by chance have the link to the alt version 83 xposed? I swear I had it bookmarked but I can't find it

Unable to do that right now. But it, or the latest version, will be in the OP of wanam xposed thread

which rom will give me this 2 things :
TW base rom (because i need spen, bluetooth, nfc, gps, edge panel all working 100%)

Looks like some firmware patch possibly. Are you rooted? If so that's why its not updating. If I make an unrooted .tar package for 4.2.2 the update should go

It's some kind of pre-patch check, for sure. It's odd, I got the OTA update and was still rooted - no problems. I had to re-root, obviously - but it didn't seem to care.
Have you frozen or uninstalled any system apps, per chance?

Idea: Try wiping your cache and dalvik cache from TWRP, then try installing the update.
Got it here's how.Go into SuperSU do a full unroot and reboot then after you reboot boot back into boot loader and relock boot loader "fastboot oem lock" then reboot. Then reboot into stock recovery and apply update.
PROFIT! just did mine
The downside you will have to re unlock (wipe data) and reroot if you want root

Rooting 4.3 with Saferoot to install CWM and Custom ROMs?

Can I install Clockworkmod Recovery and a custom ROM if I root with saferoot on my 4.3 TouchWiz VZW GS3?

No. Installing CWM will hardbrick your phone but it will be recoverable.
What you can do though, after Saferoot, is use Safestrap then you will be able to flash only other VRUCML1 TW 4.3 roms. You will need to flash the VRUCML1 kernel modules in that thread as well, after any and every rom flash in order to have working wifi.
What if I flash a de-KNOXED TW ROM?
What if I flash a de-KNOXED TouchWiz ROM then flash a different ROM like CyanogenMod or Carbon ROM?

You can't do that, it uses a different kernel, you're limited to TouchWiz kernels only. Without it your phone will brick.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
Oh :/ Thanks anyways.
That sucks. Hopefully someone from the community could figure this out. What if you rooted with Saferoot and froze KNOX? And installed a new ROM?

Knox isn't the problem, Verizon implemented the locked bootloader. Doing this only keeps your system from Detecting root access, but it really doesn't matter unless you're planning to return your phone to Verizon for warranty service.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
Oh well I could care less about the warranty service. I just care about getting rid of this evil ROM.

I know, the point is you can't disable the bootloader, so you're limited to 4.3 custom TouchWiz roms using safestrap for now.

OK so when i installed the rom and ran it, i had 4g but i had no wifi. So i then flashed the kernal module and lost all 4g...should i flash it right after i flash the rom before boot?

Yup! Wipe, flash the rom, kernel modules, then boot up. Do these exact steps each time that you flash a custom VRUCML1 4.3 touchwiz (TW) rom.

It already comes with twrp preinstalled with safestrap. You can only flash TouchWiz 4.3 roms. You can change the rom slot size according to your preference but the more you use on one rom the less you'd have for any additional slots.

[Q] Questions Regarding S3 Root

Hey,
I'd like to know if it's possible to root my S3, and be able to install a stock version of Android, without all that bloatware and such. My phone has been getting incredibly slow, not being able to keep up with my typing as much either. I've tried cleared cache, uninstalling apps, etc.

Thanks.

Question, I am able to install the stock s-browser from my note 4 on my wife's S5, but when opening it, it says not enough memory and closes. Btw, it's not rooted and I was able to side load it. Is there a way to make it work?
Downloaded and installed with safestrap but the app doesn't show up anywhere.
Thanks. Works Great!
A BIG thanks to jrkruse for posting this. There are just some sites that load / render better in this stock browser compared to Chrome. It's nice to have a choice again. FYI.... I'm on NI2, stock, rooted, with Safestrap. It installed and runs without a hitch. Thanks again.

You need a kernel that is set to SELinux permissive. The stock kernel is not. @civato is working on one.
