Strange Bootloop/Possible Hardware Issue? - Onetouch Idol 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys I need your help, I was using my phone yesterday and suddenly it turned off and got stuck in a bootloop but not the normal ones. At first I figured it was something with the software or anything and went to sleep. The bootloop is unique in that sometimes it passes the Alcatel screen and goes to the bootanimation, but most of the time it stays at the Alcatel screen and reboots, I've even seen it boot normally then turn off and get stuck again. I tried the Q Mobile software, it was successful and now I'm in stock, but its still the same. I've been thinking its an overheating issue or something with the hardware. I dunno if I can fix it, can you guys help?

If mobile Q didn't fix it then yes it sounds like a hardware/warranty issue.

It turns out it died for sure today, it wouldn't even turn on. RIP phone, u were such a good phone

battery voltage low

Hi:
I have a HTC sensation 4G. I really like the phone. However, about 3-4 months ago, my phone suddenly switched off. When I restarted my phone, it got stuck on the HTC logo and wouldn't go further and switch off. It would start again, show the white screen with the HTC logo and switch on again. It wouldn't go any further and kept doing so in a loop. I thought there could be 2 possible reasons for the same: 1.) software issue or 2.) Hardware issue. I was pretty sure it was not a software issue as I had not made any changes in the software. I took it to a HTC repair center. The repair charges they were asking were freakingly high (300$!!). I didn't get it repaired from them. However, they gave me the exact reason of the problem. They said that it was a hardware issue and often happens with the phones when battery of the phone is removed while the phone is running. If this is done multiple times, such an issue can arise. I had done it multiple times before the phone had stopped working. I then got the phone repaired from another shop paying a third of the price. He didn't give any guarantee if the phone works. But the phone started working after the repair.
Very recently though, I was using my camera and as soon as the flash came on, the flash light got stuck. The phone was, however, working. But I couldn't get the flash to switch off. So I thought of restarting my phone. The phone switched off and when it turned on, it had the same problem. It is stuck in a loop on the HTC logo screen. I think this could be a software problem. What can i do to repair it?
Another thing I want to mention is that I am unable to go even in the recovery. When I try to go in to the recovery, it switches off and shows the HTC screen again. On one occasion when I tried to go into recovery from the boot screen, it showed a message that the battery voltage is low, please change the battery immediately. So i thought it is a battery problem and I looked up on the internet to find a solution. Somewhere I read that sometimes the gold plated contact points on the battery get scratched and corrosion happens. One solution was to clean the corrosion and try again. I did but didn't work. Also, when I try to charge the phone (because the battery voltage is low), even if the phone is switched off, its starts up again automatically without pressing the power button. Then it keeps going in the loop.
I don't know what the problem exactly is. Do i need to change the battery? I am running official HTC ICS ROM. Please help me with a solution.
It will be of great help. Thank you!!

Huge Irritating Problem with Note

Okay, so, I know I am not the only one with this issue. At the same time I know not ALOT of people have this issue. Lets get right down to it, I bought a Note I717 from someone who claimed that it was stuck in a bootloop. Well, I turned it one when I got home after doing a factory restore and it came on and stayed on. I thought I had fixed it until the battery died.
Symptoms:
Boots up fine
Stays on for around 2 minutes
Freeze then Reboot
Happens every time. I have tried to restore stock firmware, have tried custom roms. Have rooted it, unrooted it. Battery holds a charge and is perfectly fine. Power button is NOT stuck.
There have been 2 times I have got it to come on and stay on for like 12 hrs then it will freeze and cut off, then start the rebooting sequence all over again. Anybody think they can help me out?

whn i had a similar issue, the answer turned out to be that i was overclocking. if you are overclocking/undervolting it can cause random reboots.

Blue Screen of DEATH

Has anyone had or experienced the "Blue screen of DEATH" well thats what im calling it.
So i had rooted my tab and thats all i had done to it years ago. It then started playing up, screen flickering, random reboots and bootloops. So yesterday i flashed a rom that i found on here and its all been downhill from there. Reboots, bootloops, hanging on the "samsung" logo. The final part was the blue screen.
Anyone know how i can get back to stock firmware. Sammobile has the firmware but when i flash via Odin it hangs on the Samsung logo.
Any help or advice would be greatful

Read the threat " flickering screen " for more information: reboots, bootloops, hanging on the "samsung" logo are all common problems of cracked battery connector. This is an easy fix by resoldering the battery connector.
Blue screen of death, I only see it in SM-P907A from AT&T runs Kitkat, upgrade to Lollipop will solve this issue.
I had this same issue with KitKat and read on here in another forum that upgrading to Lollipop would fix it and it didn't fix it but what did fix it was taking the back off my tablet and unplugging the battery...holding the power button to release any excess power then plugged it back in. Once it booted up I downloaded Repair Battery Life by ToTheTops Apps and ran it....since then I have not had a single blue screen or flicker. This is after a month. Plus once a week i run the repair and so far, since the first time, there has not been any issues with the cells in the battery.
Now I am not going to say this will work on yours but it is something to try. It has worked for me.

Mate 9 dead while texting. No way of booting. Any help?

Hi there!
I was just texting on whatsapp with 89% of battery and suddenly the phone rebooted and stuck on the Huawei Logo. I shutted down to turn on again but nothing happen since that.
I already tried all methods to turn on, and nothing happen.
I put it at charge even if no light or screen turn on, just in case it lacked battery, and after that tried again but nothing.
Also the phone was unplugged when I was texting and all was good.
Any idea?

Samsung S6 edge boot loop/restarting randomly

Hello,
I recently changed the LCD of a S6 edge. I installed it and turned it on and it booted up fine. I went to make sure everything was working. While I was playing music it would restart. I thought it was odd, so i was waited til it came back on and started using other apps. Same thing..restart. So, i booted to safe mode. Same thing...restart.
So, I tried factory resetting. After that, it would just get stuck in a endless restart loop cycle.
I have also tried reinstalling the OS using Odin. I ran Odin and it said everything passed. The phone restarts and goes to installing updates.
It gets to 32% every time then it says "erasing". After a few seconds of displaying "erasing" it just starts its endless reboot cycle again.
**EDIT: I should add that it never restarts when it's in the download manger.** So, that makes me think its a OS issue.
*EDIT#2: This is a good video. I did all of this. Got to the 9 minute mark and where his comes on, mine restarts again.
Any help?
Thank you!
back in the latter days of flashing S4 custom roms there would be the occasional user who couldn't boot and it turned out that there was some detail in the roms that didn't work with some 3rd party LCD screens.
check the reviews for what you bought and see if you are alone or not.
the issue with those screens was fixed by the devs so if nothing else you might be able to go custom with it.

Hi,
thank you for your reply. I learned about all of this last night lol. so, i'm not exactly sure what you mean. I bought the LCD+frame from Ebay. It stated it was pulled from a working unit.
Could a bad battery cause all these issues? I notice when i power down (only way I can power down is if I Hold POWER+VOL DOWN and select power down) that the LED light stays on.
Hello, could someone delete this thread. I have posted a more detailed thread on this issue.
if it says it's an LCD screen it's not an original part. my point was that some people have had issues booting up roms because of screens.
that was something that was fixed in custom roms though so if you can't another solution a custom rom that works with 3rd party LCD displays might be an option to consider.
