Hi guys, when i updated to 5.1.1 the search bar in the recent apps menu vanished. Did they make it optional, did they remove it or is it a bug? Thank you for your help

I only found you can enable it through Xposed module. It seems to be a feature that it's gone.

Hey man, do you know which Xposed module?
I've been searching through the modules page and am not sure which one.
I just want to be bale to show the search bar on the "recents" list/page. Thanks.
So, I would like to disable my lockscreen but the Slide to Unlock screen always appears when i turn on the screen. I found a old thread saying to delete HwLockscreen apk but there is no such file.
is there any way I can disable my lockscreen?
To clarify, im rooted and unlocked and have the European model with the Indian b810 update to get to Marshmallow.
thank you

You can't. Not on marshmallow. The devs at Huawei are not smart people.
You could probably get it done with an xposed module that disables the lock screen.

Thank you for the info
So going back to lollipop seems to have more advantages than disadvantages now xD

Try Good Lock in the Samsung App Store. Replacement Systemui from Samsung, customizable including widgets on the lock screen and unlock effects.
My father has Huawei P8 and it changes his lockscreen everytime he unlocks the phone. I want to have the same on my Honor 8, but I just cannot set this up. Could someone guide through settings to do the same on honor 8?
Yes,
Go to Themes>> Customize >> Screen lock style>> Choose 1st. Wallpaper on the left (Magazine Unlock)
That's it.
Tell me if it worked for you

Hi all,
I have an honor 8 that I really like but am super frustrated that I can't remove the lock screen. I have tried everything on these forums and read through the threads - no luck. Any other advice? The only thing that I haven't been able to do is set a backup pin for the fingerprint or pattern lock and then get around it that way. Any idea how I can do that? My phone just never prompts for a backup pin and I see no way of putting one in. This is driving me insane.
Thanks for the help.
Best,
Seth
Try this, do a pattern or pin unlock without fingerprint, then add a fingerprint

I just tried this and was able to add a fingerprint in fingerprint management. It then asks for backup pin and when I do the wrong fingerprint 5 times, I entered the in. Still didn't unlock the setting. So frustrating!

If you have pin code, it bypassed .
No locks.power to wake and homescreen is displayed.

I think if we remove protection and set it to none then the option will come back on EMUI 5. I'm not sure though since I don't want it to wipe all my fingerprints.
