My father has Huawei P8 and it changes his lockscreen everytime he unlocks the phone. I want to have the same on my Honor 8, but I just cannot set this up. Could someone guide through settings to do the same on honor 8?
Yes,
Go to Themes>> Customize >> Screen lock style>> Choose 1st. Wallpaper on the left (Magazine Unlock)
That's it.
Tell me if it worked for you

Hi, many thanks
What are the new features?
All I found was a multi window button in developer options but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Can confirm that root was achieved using the SuperSU version provided (the previous one I tried resulted in a bootloop funny enough).
Yet to try out the multi-window thing.
Yes i confirme
I'm on B522 now

So I have turned on the option in the developer settings, however can see no change in the recents screen. No additional buttons to press. Holding the recents button only garners the "This application is not supported by Dual Windows" message. I think the button doesn't show up simply because EMUI has crippled the recent apps screen so much that the OS can't place it anywhere.
Oh and @gahu777, the link you posted is doing essentially the same thing as OP is. The only difference is that the video shows how to do it through ADB, which is the long way of doing it.

This is normal when the launcher is not programmed to work with the finger print reader and Marshmallow. The only launcher I have seen get by this is Nova with root.

I think he refers to stock launcher. They added their own dt2s feature and that one can be unlocked with fingerprint.

Hey all, I've tried looking online and through my own phones settings but can't seem to find anything. Nearly all nougat phones I've used allow the option to change the Display Size yet I don't see that option on the honor 8. Has it been left out? I'm not talking about changing the resolution or the font size, just changing the dpi essentially under display settings.
Thanks

You can do this with adb.
"Adb shell wm density 400 && adb reboot"
Change 400 to what suits you.

Thank you for the reply. I know it can be done via ADB however, every other nougat phone I've used has a "Display Size" setting under the display menu. Just wondering why Honor 8 does not have that option.

Where do you see that? I don't think the "smallest dpi width" is the same thing.

You're welcome
FYI you can enable Developer options, which is hidden by default, to appear under Settings by going to Settings > About Phone and tapping the Build Version 7 times. Then Developer option should appear under the Settings menu.
Thanks @Kikito94
This helped me with my phone
developer setting / scroll to down ,you will see smallest width & 400~420 is good point .don't exceed 430 it will crash your apps.
Hi all,
I have an honor 8 that I really like but am super frustrated that I can't remove the lock screen. I have tried everything on these forums and read through the threads - no luck. Any other advice? The only thing that I haven't been able to do is set a backup pin for the fingerprint or pattern lock and then get around it that way. Any idea how I can do that? My phone just never prompts for a backup pin and I see no way of putting one in. This is driving me insane.
Thanks for the help.
Best,
Seth
Try this, do a pattern or pin unlock without fingerprint, then add a fingerprint

I just tried this and was able to add a fingerprint in fingerprint management. It then asks for backup pin and when I do the wrong fingerprint 5 times, I entered the in. Still didn't unlock the setting. So frustrating!

If you have pin code, it bypassed .
No locks.power to wake and homescreen is displayed.

I think if we remove protection and set it to none then the option will come back on EMUI 5. I'm not sure though since I don't want it to wipe all my fingerprints.
