[Q] Bricked an LG P505

How do I unbrick an LG P505? I rooted it, deleted a bunch of apps that I never used and when I deleted Nuance something or other it kept giving me an error telling me it had stopped working (apparently it was running on the background) and I couldn't get it to shut up so I shut off the phone. When I turned it back on again it was stuck on the android logo.
I've tried hard reset, but it gave me an error right after the LG setup thing and now whenever I try it again it gets stuck on the android logo screen again.
Any help?

Are you having custom recovery or stock one? And what error did you get when you tried to start recovery

I didn't get to install custom recovery. Right now I managed to get to the fastboot mode screen, but I'm not sure that's gonna help in any way...

To start recovery hold volume down +home+power until it comes if recovery starts means u are not bricked but if you are getting fastboot error means your mobile is bricked to unbrick follow this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1088046 and be sure to see every page of the thread for problems that may occur while doing it and their solutions
It works with p500 but I don't know about p509...

p505r stuck at lg screen after fastboot fix wiped everything
my wifi kept saying error so I thought id try flashing my phone to a new rom/kernel and I was stuck in fastboot mode as well, I came upon this fastboot fix using cmd etc and it deleted all files on my p505r, and now I can get it to emergency mode OR it stays stuck at the lg logo... and no I cant get into recovery, it loads the android and box thing a progess bar shows up for 3 seconds then the phone reboots again...
im really running out of ideas, can someone please help??? I would really like to give my mom back her phone asap...
so to cover everything again:
phone can go into EMERGENCY MODE or be stuck at the lg logo... no other option is available...

I had the exact same issue with my first handset, but luckily had the ability to take it back to where I purchased it and get a replacement. You should be able to turn it on of you can get to the boot menu by choosing the boot normally option.
I did read of someone unlocking their bootloader to resolve the issue, but can't confirm that as a fix. Also, don't forget that unlocking the bootloader voids your warranty.

Just an extra note: if you turn your phone off again for any reason you will have to use the "boot normally" method to turn the phone on. If you don't do it that way it will wipe your settings again/get stuck where it was.

Hey Lexreis,
Can you please explain what you did to get this worked. I am having same problem and stuck with the logo. I recently updated to jelly bean and tried to do a factory reset and i am stuck with this error. Secondly i tried getting into recovery, but it isnt working. Whenever i press power button and volume rocker .. the phone boots without giving me options of getting into recovery, fastboot etc etc.
My phone went into a boot loop after a factory data reset (moto logo and dead android), I was able to get into safe mode by holding all the buttons down and then did another factory data reset (after another 4 attempts to get past a boot loop) then the phone booted up fine but remember, if you have already applied the JB update then it will still be there after a FRD.
Cheers

[Q] Moto G soft brick/boot loop after unlocking bootloader..

Well it seems that I have bricked or caused a bootloop on my brothers Moto G. I followed the steps carefully to unlock ghe bootloader from Motorola's site and afterwards I can't get it to boot. I've been searching for quite some time and I keep seeing suggestions to go into recovery and factory reset. Problem is it doesn't go into recovery once I select from oot loader mode. Stays on a black screen with Andy laying on his back, opened with the infamous red triangle with and exclamation on it. I'm guessing there's no recovery? Also tried flashing stock recovery with the Moto Tool this morning and still nothing. Has anyone had a similar issue and resolved it or have any suggestions that I could attempt? Would be greatly appreciated.

Help in Moto G boot

Hi guys, I'm here because my Moto G doesn't enters in recovery mode, keeps booting forever, and I can't find anything that helps me to fix that. I've tried to unlock it, but it didn't work. Now I can only start my cellphone in the fastboot mode and it keeps saying every time I try to turn it on these two mensages: ''failed to validate system image'' and ''fastboot reason: fall-through from recovery boot mode''. I think the problem is in the fastboot, but I can't fix it, I don't understand too much of this stuff. Can you guys help me out here?
We need more info.
What were you doing when it started bootlooping?
What do you mean when you say you "unlocked it" ??
Do you have a custom recovery?
- if so, which one?
- have you made a backup at
any time?

Well, I woke up and the Moto G was bootlooping... I may say that long time ago my cellphone dropped into my sink, but I don't think that was the problem it worked since now without any problems.
I don't have any custom recovery and didn't make a backup either. The ''unlock'' was a attempt to install a custom recovery, I've asked motorola the pin to unlock to ''developers'', the one used to root...
@Zeh Silveira, sorry for the big delay!
Yesterday I had the same problem of you: couldn't enter in recovery mode.
How I fixed it: flashed TWRP from Windows and then CyanogenMod ROM.

thank you so much for your help.somehow i got it back up and running
Had the same happen to me. It didn't want to go into recovery gave a message it failed. With some patience I manged to get the button combo to work for fastboot then did a flash-all of the factory image. I think the trick was it had to be plugged in to get to download mode and I think you may hit the power button slightly before the volume down. It was a bit tedious. I tried to recover the boot.img and that trashed things up worse, got no google loading logo or something odd. Anyhow flashing the full factory image fixed things!
Glad you got it resolved, maybe this helps someone else in the same spot.
