Hey guys,
I have a new HTC E8, rooted like any respectable XDA member. I'm from India and travelling to Singapore, and there's some weirdness with my Airtel nano SIM and the SIM 2 slot. I have a local SIM with 3G in Slot 1.
For the first two days, Slot 2 would occasionally disappear, with the phone claiming there was no SIM in it. Opening and closing the tray would restore the connection. On day three, this stopped working. No amount of reinserting would get the phone to recognise the SIM.
So I swapped the SIMs and both work. Swapped them back and the Airtel doesn't work in Slot 2. The local M1 SIM has no problem in either slot, but I obviously get only 2G in Slot 2, and the whole point of a local SIM and a dual SIM phone is to get cheap data when on roaming.
Help me figure this out? Either the Airtel SIM doesn't like Slot 2 anymore (it used to work), and refuses to work on it, or the phone doesn't like the SIM, or there's simply a loose contact (but that doesn't explain why the other SIM works).
Is anyone else having this problem?
I've got a dual SIM SGS6 from Expansys AU (based in HK). I've got a new nano SIM card in SIM1 slot, SIM2 is empty. I've transferred my service across to the new SIM and confirmed (using an adaptor) that I can get 4G service fine on my Nexus 5.
However on my SGS6 it only shows 3G, H or H+, never 4G. I also find that every few minutes the data connection goes completely. I happened to be in the dual SIM menu at the time and noticed it went from showing only SIM1 being present to both SIM1 and SIM2 being lit up - as you can see this corresponds with the phone showing 'no signal' in the notification tray. It also keeps on sometimes showing the message "When changing SIM Card, Data service slot also can be changed. When you want to change Network mode, please go Mobile network menu and change it." (poor grammar all Samsung's!)
Has anyone seen this before or is it going to be a case of having to ship it back to them?

Aren't the dial sim versions intended for the Chinese markets? If that's the case, you may not have the correct LTE radio bands for where you live.
Doesn't seem to be that - the bands fit according to the specs and at some points it does connect properly to 4G/4G+ - it just doesn't hold it
Maybe damaged SIM??
Don't think so - it's a brand new Nano SIM direct from the network and works stably in 4G on my Nexus 5 (with a nano to micro adaptor).
Managed to get 4G/4G+ working for a while yesterday and today, but has now stopped working again.
Get a message everytime the phone boots re. network manager (as posted in OP), which doesn't seem right to me. Also finding it still drops all network connections from time to time and even switched off totally at one point today. I've gone back to the retailer requesting a return either for full refund or exchange for replacement.
What was the outcome?

Thanks for your posts Alan I am having similar issues with 1 day old Galaxy S6 dual sim in Australia with Telstra.
- Phone loses connection to carrier (both) from time to time - especially if in the sim manager screen but also just randomly
- It looks like it is seeking a network - like polling through different bands
- if i watch it for a while i can often catch it doing this
- on 4 occasions in a day this has then reboot the phone
- it has not yet dropped out during a call - not sure if this is just luck
- I am asking for it to be declared DOA but not sure how that will go yet
I was wondering if you returned or swapped your phone or found a fix.
Thanks

Sadly that sounds pretty similar to my experience I ended up returning it (although am having ongoing issues with the retailer, Expansys, in getting a full refund!) and subsequently bought a single SIM model direct from Samsung.
I have OnePlus One 64 GB Indian version. I'm on official CM12S, without Root.
Now my OPO working fine with the My Airtel SIM card till yesterday night, due to low charge my OPO is switched off and today's morning when started charging and switch on the OPO, my OPO face suddenly unstable SIM network. Get No Service and After 2minutes it Get Signal to Airtel. This loop continues till I put my OPO to 2G (Settings >> Mobile Network >> Preferred Network >> 3G to 2G - No Manual choice of network or LTE Network Selection helps both of them face same loop ).
I have self cut Airtel Micro SIM, Which working fine from Last 5 months on OPO from First Day.
1) What should I done to fix?
2) Is anyone face same problem?
3) Is any idea where the problem might be, In SIM card or OPO?
Hi all,
I have a Samsung S8+ Europian model. When I turn ON mobile data in 4G Connection the mobile within 5 seconds its turning OFF itself and at the back of the phone its getting warmer. When I leave at 2G only it works perfectly. I have tried hard reset, clear cache and still not working. I tried changing firmwares still the same issue.
Does anyone knows what could be the issue? How can I fix this issue? I tried reading in internet but can't find anywhere this issue or solutions...
Thanks in advance!

Kassi, try to use your sim card in other movil phone, and check with another sim card (no too old) in your Samsung. Sometimes the problem is the sim card. It is very extrange, but you could have the motherboard faulty.
Hello, I have a honor 8 (FRD-L09 dual sim) and I have a problem with dual sim managements. I got 2 sim cards and I inserted in the slots, first days it was working perfectly (one of them on higher bands and the other one on 2g) but after somedays I noticed that there’s no signal (emergency only) for the 2g slot. I thought that it might be hardware problem but it was not; because when I switch the 2g slot to 3g/4g it works perfectly and also I can get 2g signal with that slot but the main problem is that I can’t get two sim cards work together. 2g slot is always without any signals when I insert two sim cards. I did a factory reset but the problem still exists. Any solutions ??
Thanks
