Dual sim problem (can’t work both sim cards together) - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

Hello, I have a honor 8 (FRD-L09 dual sim) and I have a problem with dual sim managements. I got 2 sim cards and I inserted in the slots, first days it was working perfectly (one of them on higher bands and the other one on 2g) but after somedays I noticed that there’s no signal (emergency only) for the 2g slot. I thought that it might be hardware problem but it was not; because when I switch the 2g slot to 3g/4g it works perfectly and also I can get 2g signal with that slot but the main problem is that I can’t get two sim cards work together. 2g slot is always without any signals when I insert two sim cards. I did a factory reset but the problem still exists. Any solutions ??
Thanks

[Q] Weirdness in SIM2

Hey guys,
I have a new HTC E8, rooted like any respectable XDA member. I'm from India and travelling to Singapore, and there's some weirdness with my Airtel nano SIM and the SIM 2 slot. I have a local SIM with 3G in Slot 1.
For the first two days, Slot 2 would occasionally disappear, with the phone claiming there was no SIM in it. Opening and closing the tray would restore the connection. On day three, this stopped working. No amount of reinserting would get the phone to recognise the SIM.
So I swapped the SIMs and both work. Swapped them back and the Airtel doesn't work in Slot 2. The local M1 SIM has no problem in either slot, but I obviously get only 2G in Slot 2, and the whole point of a local SIM and a dual SIM phone is to get cheap data when on roaming.
Help me figure this out? Either the Airtel SIM doesn't like Slot 2 anymore (it used to work), and refuses to work on it, or the phone doesn't like the SIM, or there's simply a loose contact (but that doesn't explain why the other SIM works).

[Q] Z3 DUO signal issue

Hi
Just got my Xperia Z3 DUO today.
I put 2 tmobile USA sims in the phone.
We are in a building with a Tmobile antenna on the roof so the service for every phone is rock solid full bars.
However, in my experia z3 duo, no matter which sim i put in as sim 1 (and I have tried 7 differnet sims) , the service is 2-3 bars in contrast to sim 2 which is full bars always.
Any ideas????
thanks
Eric
In your situation I think sim2 is 2G band with full bars and sim1 must be set for something higher, like 4G or 3G.
I also have z3 duo and with sim1 Lte a can get on sim2 only 2G. Sim1 also has default package transmission on, sim2 not.
Check this options in your phone.
I agree with Bino saw, the biggest annoyance I find with the Z3 DUAL is that you have to go into your cell settings and switch which SIM you want to be LTE/3G or 2G as only one SIM can be LTE/3G and the other has to be 2G. Go into your mobile settings and switch your GSM sim to LTE and see if it changes. (Note the switching the "Data" SIM under my dual SIM settings doesn't automatically change these settings for me, not sure if it's suppose to)

Sim Cards

what is the difference in a 2G sim card and a 4G sim card? I have an iRULU v3. 6.5 smart phone with 2 sim card slots.
One slot says 4G the other 2G. I currently have only a 2G sim card, Family-Mobile through t-mobile they want $25.00 for a new sim card, is it worth getting the card. half the time the phone says emergency only with the 2G sim, it worked in my old Samsung even if not great service.
I was led to believe that the sim card had nothing to do with cell service but my cell service still suks with this current sim.

NO GSM signal

Hi,
using the Xiaomi Mi 4 I have some issue with the GSM signal (no signal at all; the sim card is correctly read by the phone so I don't think it is a matter of internal sim slot contact).
I'm moving my attention to the antenna but... which is the GSM antenna?

Does Tracfone's A51 SIM Reader Actually Support Dual SIM?

Has anyone tried getting dual SIM on Tracfone's A51 (SM-S515DL)? It's advertised as single SIM but comes with this elongated SIM tray, so the reader is at least long enough for dual SIM.
Wonder if the reader actually supports dual SIM and the phone is only software limited to single SIM, phone only displays 1 IMEI.
This phone has only a SIM slot on one side, and microSD card slot on the other side.
