How to update to MIUI 8
The procedure is so easy .
1. Download the zip file of MIUI8 for mi4i (http://c.mi.com/in/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=4944)
2. Put the file inside your phone storage .
3.Go to > setting > About phone > System updates > (Top right corner) option > Choose update package > choose the file you put inside your phone storage.

I tested but it stuck on logo,
I found out that if you are using Custom Rom, it will not work
You must first flash Stock Rom via Odin.
If it still does not work, you must flash kernelcm.tar via Odin.
Then just install step by step as above tutorials.

Unbrick Redmi 1s unbrick (indian version) rooting, installing CWM & custom ROM guide.
Installing CWM touch recovery on Redmi 1s (Indian version)
Method 1: By flashing through stock recovery.
Step 1: Download "signed_cwm_update" and rename it as "update.zip".
Step 2: Connect your mobile place "update.zip" in root folder of your mobile internal memory.
Step 3: Switch off your mobile and start your mobile in recovery mode by pressing ( Volume up + Power ) key combination.
Step 4: In the recovery menu choose english
step 5: Apply Update to system confirm it by power button
Step 6: Reboot System and start your mobile in recovery mode by pressing ( Volume up + Power ) key combination this time your mobile will start in CWM recovery.
Method 2: By flashing through fastboot mode

While flashing CM 13 over my Redmi 1s, i happen to brick my phone and also lost IMEI and other details. Now only if i install stock rom of 56, i get back WIFI alone, still IMEI is gone. So sim cards not working.
Does installing the above stock ROMs, helps in this regards? (gaining back IMEI) or is there any other methods?
P.S: Tried almost all methods list on XDA, miui forums. No luck so far

Hello friends this is my first post in xda.
Lenovo K5/K5+ ota updates are normally faced by peoples who switched to Custom Rom or maybe by rooting.There are lots of guide about how to fix ota issues in lenovo but they aren't helpful because lenovo has different versions of carrier zip files (i.e. S056 defaultota.zip can't flashed in S041 rom) so here's solution.
Step 1.
First of all you need to flash stock rom using qfil.
(I'll not post link of guide until i got permission from original author of that guide).
Just Google it "Unbrick Guide lenovo k5 plus xda" and you'll find a guide.
Step 2.
After flashing stock rom and when rom is booted then go to File manager then internal memory then you'll find a folder named "0" open it and you'll see lots of zip file in it.After that select your country ota zip.
Make sure you selected 2defaultota.zip file for your country.(For me my country is India so i selected India2defaultota.zip)
Step 3.
Then move that selected file to external sdcard.And now power off the phone.
Step 4.
Now reboot in recovery mode.Hold vol+ & vol- & power button at same time for 5 seconds until phone is booted into recovery mode.
Step 5.
Now select "Apply Update From Sdcard" then select the country ota zip file that you moved earlier.
(For me i selected india2defaultota.zip)
Then select it and it will take 4-5 min then phone will be automatically rebooted.
Step 5.
Now when the system is booted then, go to dialer and type ####6020# .And you will see your country name there and default and your country should be selected.If it is selected then you can download the ota update and if it not selected then you can move to step 6.
Step 6.
If your country name is there but it is not selected i mean option named "default" is selected then select your country and select begin configure.Then your phone will be rebooted into recovery.It'll take 3-4 min and then your phone will be rebooted automatically.
Step 7.
When system is booted go to dialer and type again ####6020# now this time your country should be selected by default then press exit.
Now you can install ota updates in phone without PC.
Alternative method is Lenovo smart assistant.But it is not working for most of peoples because when they download from LSA and extract update.zip and copy system.zip and successfully installed it but for next update they need to download update.zip again so that method is not best.

No, stock rom for A6020a46 3GB version is s041 ,u need to update it manually from system update options to latest version.I'll find latest rom and send u pm or if i didn't find then u have to flash s041.
Edit: S105 is latest version for K5+ a46 3GB Variant.
