Anyone using this app?
I have an issue that sms I send through mightytext from my pc are not showing in the sms app - I am using the stock sms app.
Anyone having same issue?
Sent from my HUAWEI NXT-L29 using Tapatalk
Everyone is having the same issue [Huawei P9, P9 Lite, Ascend Mate 9 for me]. But it seems like no one is using MightyText, PushBullet, or any other 3rd pty app. Which is amazing due to fact that about 300 million people are using Huawei cellphones. It's amazing how great the ignorance of Huawei and it's users is. It's a security issue, which haven't been resolved for two years now in Huawei. I reckon due to insufficent interest from the side of it's customers. Head 22 situation.
Hello,
I confirm, this is the same issue for Pushbullet, or mighty text, with Huawei's Emui os.
Emui has more generally issues with notifications...
I have been looking on solutions for several years now, but the only one that seems to work sometimes is a factory reset ??
Please write to Huawei support to show them we are numerous!

I love it. Pictures and video are great. The OS is smooth and stable. You might not find all the apps you want but its not that bad. Great community of developers are making some very good third party apps where there is not official one. I don't have any real complaints, though I do miss not having Google+ and an official hangouts app.

It's decent. Not as good as my Xperia Z Ultra but it looks good and blacks are very good. Not bad in bright daylight. It's actually a very good phone. Been using it as my daily driver for a couple weeks now. No complaints.

You can still do Google contacts and calendar just not Google+. There is a tapatalk app for forums. Instagram is coming out soon officially but there are some good 3rd party apps anyway. Flipboard is coming out soon too. There are some good freely integrated apps as well if you moved to freely from Google reader.
Don't really miss anything other than Google+. Everything else has an official app or 3rd party app at least for what I use.

update, almost a year later...
Just a quick update for you, of you are still wondering. Software updates have fixed the "yellow" camera problem, I have been shooting great pics for a few months now. Yes, you will miss a lot of apps you had in the Play store, but that will begin to change. Windows has opened itself up for free* to get more phone makers on board, and they are coming. Plus, Microsoft accepts Paypal, which Google play does not. So, increased market plus more opportunity for money = more apps. The Skype app is not as good as the Android one, and you can't log out & log back in with another username. But you will appreciate the lack of lag and/or freezing and the speed of the 1020, not to mention the amazing camera. Overall it's a very nice phone and I don't regret it for a second.
I'm a .Net/C# programmer and when I tried to go for my first smartphone, I decided to buy an iPhone. My operator didn't have the model I wanted so I gave up after being offered a Sony (Ericsson back then) with Android. Loved Android for a long time (still like it, my Nexus is still running), but as a Microsoft programmer I decided to study WP development and bought myself a Lumia 920. I liked it so much that now my girlfriend is with the 920 and I bought a 1020 for me.
Android and iOS still have the best apps, but at least for me, in my daily use, I don't miss pretty much nothing, we already have great apps. What any Android user will miss are the Google Apps. Anyway, Gmail, Calendar and Contacts are supported by default. Google Drive and Music have some 3rd party apps that you can use. Currently I'm only missing a good Hangouts client, but it's not a big gap.

Ok. I was an iphone user for years. Switched to HTC one for a change. Camera had the purple dim problem (google 4 it). Went to Lumia 1020. Worst decision ever. ITS NOT A PHONE. Its a camera. A great camera. As a phone the volume sucks. Maximum volume on the lumia is 40% on the iphone and on every other phone. You can not hear your caller in a noisy place. I talked to nokia support and they are talking nonsense. Too many users have the same problem. If you do not mind having headphones all the time, buy it.
You can also google for "low earpiece volume 1020. You will see the problem.
P.S. If you contact nokia/microsoft, they will answer you....... after 1 month with "please explain your problem" . Delaying because they do not have a solution.

I am using it from the day it was launched, very happy just got my denim developers update.
Did not have the blue/purple hue issue ever. Still takes great pic for me and great as a phone.
Previously Owned Devices:
• PCS Sprint CDMA PPC-6700/PPC6700 PDA / Windows Mobile 5
• Blackberry Curve 8300 / BB OS
• Nokia N900 / Symbian
• Motorola PHOTON 4G (MB855) / Android
• Nokia 1020 (RM-877) / Windows Phone 8.1
My Nokia 1020:
Pros:
• As reported, the camera is amazing. The best pictures come out in sunlight.
• The OS seems nice and smooth. I updated Windows Phone (as I do my desktop) without any issues
• NFC is cool, the text messaging, email IU, and tile desktop runs smooth
• Facebook runs nice
• Pandora runs nice
• Shazaam Runs OK (I haven’t’ been able to log in to my account though)
• Skype runs good
• Amazon Shopping runs good
•
Cons:
• (PROBLEM #1) AT&T seems to have placed a permanent lock on the internet sharing option. Although I pay for the service on T-Mobile, the phone refuses to recognize the authorization therefore telling you there is no internet sharing plan. Giant bummer for me….I wanted to tether my old Android
• No Wifi calling on T-Mobile (sucks because this will help me when I’m buildings with wifi and no GSM signal)
• No Amazon Music
• No Google Maps
• No Google Docs Editing (Gsheets in particular)
• No Google Chrome
• Apps are very scarce compared to Android

You dont need so many apps. You just need the daily drivers.
Hey everyone,
As some of you may know, the Honor 8 (and other Huawei devices as well) have an issue with SMS syncing apps such as Pushbullet and MightyText.
After spending hours playing with various settings and testing like crazy, I have come to the following conclusion: There is something running in the background on this device preventing the messages from syncing back to the phone.
When sending a message from Pushbullet from my PC, it is delivered just fine to the recipient, however it shows stuck in pending status, and doesn't show in Textra, stock messaging app, Google Messenger or any other SMS app I've tested, even though it was delivered to the other recipient just fine.
Here's where it gets interesting...I installed Yappy on my PC, along with on the Honor 8, and installed both EvolveSMS and QKSMS. There are settings in both Evolve and QKSMS to enable Yappy integration. When turning this on, Yappy works perfectly. Messages sync properly, everything works great. My guess is that the messages are being routed through Yappy's servers and then synced back into the SMS apps. This is a half baked solution that myself, and I'm sure many others will not feel satisfied with, but it is a working temporary bandage.
The question is - what is causing Huawei devices to be preventing the messages from syncing? Adding it as a protected app doesn't help, and from what I have gathered from my testing, there is no setting that has helped it work. I think there's a possibility of the Huawei messaging process running in the background blocking the sync from happening, which brings up the question, how do we disable that process entirely and remove it?
If anyone has any ideas or further input, please share. Let's work together and axe this issue once and for all. There has to be lots of other Huawei users out there having the same issues!

I am not sure but some thread mentioned that MySms app works fine while others don't. Mean sync is not an issue for that if it is set as default app.
May be that can help someone in troubleshooting the exact problem.

This seems to be an issue with all Huawei devices from what I gather. Something within EMUI or their default messaging app seems to be causing the issue. It's definitely a dark cloud hanging over otherwise wonderful devices. Also, MySMS seems to be hit or miss as well. It's definitely a far cry from Pushbullet even if it does work.
Mods: Is there any way we could have this thread moved to a larger Huawei section for better visibility?
I have the same issue with EMUI 4.1 on the Honor Note 8. It seems to be related to EMUI shutting down background apps so the comms between the SMS app and the phone is not completed.
Will it work with a different launcher? or do a have to get a different rom?

A different ROM is the best choice (not available for honor 8) and a launcher wouldn't change anything

Just exchanged an S7 Edge for the Honor 8 yesterday. You're right about MySMS being hit or miss. I had it working the 1st time when I installed it and couldn't replicate it to work again after trying out AirDroid last night. lol I spent a good part of my morning trying to get it to work again and stumbled onto something. So far, it works great if I set MySMS as the default "Messaging" app on my Honor 8 and use it for my SMS/MMS needs. You still need to use the stock messaging app if you want to blacklist folks, though, but only for adding the entries and viewing any blocked messages.
Is there any solution for the original problem?
I'm using MS Cortana for the same purposes and actually I did not recognise this issue untill I read this post and found out I have this problem as wel.

Does the same problem occur if you were to use different SMS app.
Another option could be to try something else, yappy perhaps?

If I remember correctly, there were at least two or three apps mentioned which were experiencing synchronization problems. Not sure whether yappy was one of them or not.
Ya. I use JIO messenger (JIO Voice) as default app in India. I also do have sync problems in my Honor 5X.
Couldn't find anything in XDA Rules about thread necromancy so I figured I'd reply here instead of making another thread. Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Hopefully one that does not involve upgrading to Nougat... Since I'm here, I'll throw up more info:
Sending a picture or a text to multiple people does work fine, the texts will show up. Looks like whatever is going on affects only SMS and not MMS.
I am able to send texts fine from my car's (2014 Honda Accord) bluetooth headset, they show.
Tasker also does not work.
Apparently not. P9 here. Just done a reset assuming it was something I'd installed. Pushbullet and Mightytext both still not working.
EVA-L09C432B378 (EMUI 5.0/Android 7.0)
I just got a P9 and have the same problems as everyone else. I have used mighty text for years without a glitch and now it's not sending my messages written on my computer back to the phone. What a drag. I just got the phone so I will send it back for an exchange. I does prevent other services like pushbullet as well. So bye Huawei.
aaa
Honor 8 here. MySMS works pretty well, only that the Win10 app sucks. Pushbullet and Airdroid don't work. The difference is that MySMS becomes the default messaging app and the others don't. That's all I can contrubute. This sucks. Lost half day today so far, especially with my very limited android knowledge...
Replaced my P9 with Moto. Everything functions as intended. Glad to get rid of the P9. Too many apps won't work.

Stock oneplus 3 - (community rom 9).
Everything installed perfectly without anything needing to be done - went to play store and just installed.
Biggest issue is that I don't have the messages app on gear s3... I've seen this around - is there any way to get this back as I cannot reply to an sms which is just stupid...
The (more?) stupid part is that you can send a message to a contact in the s3 -
Add a widget and hit send message - but the actual app icon is hidden, this is dopey or just a ploy to see more crappy bloated samsung phones??
Cant reply to allo or base sms.
Poor setup and I cant return it so I'm kinda stuck with a pointless watch.
My AppleWatch is better which is horrible to say hahaha
any assistance would be great!
Hi, without Samsung phone you cant get message app. Download Textra from Play store, you will be able to Text from notification. Regards.

As the other user stated, the message app is only available with a Samsung phone. Really annoying. I am however able to reply to texts connected to my Oneplus 3. I'm using Google Messenger as texting app on the phone.
Thanks all. It's a disappointment and a real waste of $570 (AUD). Spotify kept saying BT disconnected and just a mess. UI was nice. I've actually refunded the unit and going to find a huawei watch for half the price or see what comes out with AW 2.0. Sorry for the void post. Just a major disappointment.
Hopefully less people fall for this rubbish watch (who don't have Sammy phones). Wait for AW 2.0

Pretty sure the ability to reply to SMS requires a Samsung phone. (can't verify for sure as my watch is being delivered today)
Hi there,
I got the 6x and i have massive trouble with push notifications.
Sometimes Messages come through immediately, most of the time i get Gmail, Whatsapp, Threema, Messenger and Instagram messages only when i turn on the screen, or even have to open the app to get notification.
It's EU version with 32GB 3GB RAM EMUI 4.1 Android 6
Can anyone help to get notifications in real time?
Thanks
http://www.forbes.com/sites/bensin/...ugh-to-your-huawei-phone-heres-how-to-fix-it/
:good:
Thank you for the Link. But that page i found already and did the mentioned changes in the settings. Still no luck with my notifications.
Hmmm...they do make it kind of complicated. Besides the regular android app permissions there's two or three EMUI menus for battery usage and mobile data/background data/wifi...
This is common with the honor devices. It is how they Handel battery life in the software.
Thank you for the Link.
Hi everyone! I have a question. I used to own S7 EDGE and usually when I'd get multiple messages, let's say on Whatsapp, I'd be able to actually "preview" them on my lock screen which allowed me to find out the content of the said messages, without actually going to the app itself. Kinda like a cheat sheet, so to speak
Now, w/ my P20, I can't seem to do that. It just doesn't want to. I'd like to provide a screenshot, but links aren't allowed...
Basically in the screenshot I took I have 7 messages, but I can't "stretch" them down to reveal the whole content of the aforementioned messages.
Thanks,
Mark.
Either Huawei removed this feature for whatever reason or it's a bug they don't want to acknowledge. Many people have this issue myself included.
This used to work when I was fresh out of the box on .106 , later updates removed or broke it.
Basically you can't interact with notifications on the lockscreen to view content / reply.
