How to get Email description in notification bar instead of generic "1 unread message
When I receive an email with the gmail app, there is a description of the email i.e. subject line shows up in notification bar. With the stock email app there is just a generic "1 unread email" that shows up.. Ive looked at all the settings and searched.

Unfortunately this isn't an option on the stock email app. It's possible that ROMS will allow you to do this in the future but you need an unlocked bootloader in order to do that.

As an iPhone user for the past 4 years, I just don't see the Android hype. Why can't personalize the phone the way we want.. it's an ANDROID for Pete's sake. So far, my push email has been delayed, the phone heats up for no reason and drains battery, and there are no Google voice missed call notifications for android, all things that I could do and/or worked perfect on my iPhone.
Guys, have I got a great app for you.
Notifier Pro in the Play Store, sorry to lazy to link it to you.
But there is a free version and it does the notifications way better and somewhat iPhone like.
It has made a big dif for me coming from the iPhone 4S

If you dont like android im fairly sure nobody forced you into it. If you truly think the iphone is better, then you can easily switch back. BUT, if you really want a different experience than every other iphone user on the planet, you wont get it. Give these developers a little time and an unlocked bootloader and you can make your phone YOURS. Want something tweaked in the notification bar, chances are someone here can do it. Concerned about battery drains, chances are they will get fixed.
Androids not perfect, but luckily we have all these amazing people to make it as close as it gets. The way i see it, you can either have your phone be Apple's experience, OR you can have it be a personal experience, the way you want it.

I hear ya bro...you should return it for iphone 4s....Android is not for everyone...especially android phone with locked bootloader...
Trying the One X too - from a 4S
Nimski62, I get what you are saying - there are aspects of the Android OS that have been surpassed such as the email notifications you are describing. And I can relate - I've have every iPhone (all were my daily drivers) and have been trying out different android models to see what the hype really is about. (AT&T- Inspire, Atrix, Atrix 2, SGS 2 & VZN - TBolt, Razr, Rezound, DINC2) and now the One X.
Different doesn't always mean worse. For me, I'd rather see a single notification saying there are 4 unread emails, instead of a mini preview entry for each one.
But the Google Voice notifications for missed calls IS REALLY NICE - especially if you are out of a service area, but have a WIFI connection - those notifications still come through.
For me, I keep trying to find a handset that is at least as good speed, battery, and feature-set as the latest iPhone. With each phone, I get a chance to re-evaluate what I think is important for what I want in a phone. For now, I think that MAY be the One X but the BIGGEST factor is getting over the idea of what you are used to using. If you have a 4S, then getting over the one-handed ease of use (along with the instant functionality of Siri [when she works]) is rather difficult. There aren't many droids that are butter smooth and have near instant UI responsiveness as the 4S. Photostream and iMessage rocks
But I love Swype, SwiftKey X, and the faster and more accurate google voice to text (IMHO) as well as the built in navigation. I love the bigger screen and hate it at the same time each time I pull it out of my back pocket. I love the part that you can add software to almost any part of the phone - launcher, dialer, lock screen, file and video viewers, etc. Thats what keeps me coming back to android.
The issue I have now is that I've been trying to find out myself about why the Google Voice missed call notifications are not coming through all the time on my 1X - but yet they works faster on my 4S. go figure. Its still new and updates are coming - I'm sure and I still have about 24 days to go before I have to commit.
Since I added a line to my account, I'll still keep the 4S as a backup on the other number. But so far, Im really impressed.
So I got bombarded with 2 different sets of group texts from 2 different sets of friends who are iphone users and after the frustrating ordeal I decided to do some serious research.
Here's what I found (mods please move this if its in the wrong place) :
The state of affairs and summary aka the Short Version:
A couple of people are working on an OS level version for ASOP (not the Google core team frustringly and unfortunately).
Use Go SMS Pro or Handcent whichever one works better for you now.
I'm writing this post as a cry for help for those working on this though I'm not affiliated, just somewhat of an informed spectator.

The quest to get this done as far as I can tell began with this xda thread:

And 2 years later a member of our commmunity (who join specically to post about this as you can see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21539987#post21539987 )
Created a Google Code Feature Request: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=24468
though many had questions about it before. This was probably what really set things in motion for a solution.
The standard answer to those with desire to have group / threaded mms chat on android has been to use Handcent or Go Sms...
No matter where you look be it here on xda, andriodcentral, droidforums, you name it.
Handcent was the first on the the scene with this working: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1559824
Go Sms a few months later: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1680704
And to prempt all the use <GroupMe/Whatsapp/etc.> posts... I tried to get my friends to do that and they weren't having it. Immediately just started sending new mms group chats :/
And I mean can you blame them? Why install a new app when it just works for you by default?
And I'm an old school smartphone hacker (talking flashing windows mobile 5 roms) who loves a good dig into this kind of stuff; so here was a shiny new thing to hack
My personal story:
For reference I had started this journey on a Sprint HTC Evo 4G and more recently got the Evo 4G LTE which I am on now.
Handcent
I had been using handcent since their inital 4.0 release with the feature but then it started screwing up on me in a number of ways which I reported to them in an email.
the just of which is this:
So I would send messages to the thread and one of several things would happen:
1) it would just eat the message (that is to say it I would press send the message would disappear from the text box like it was going to send and then just do nothing. My friends would say they never got the message)
2) it would work flawlessly (messages disappears from textbox. shows up in green in the thread. friends respond normally)
3) it would wait a while and then finally show up in the original thread
4) it would wait a while then open a new thread to send the message (friends would be confused about new thread, but since they aren't as technical as me about software just carry on with convo in original thread. Confusing us all. It would show up as a new thread on their phones too though )
5) it would wait a while then give up (message would show back up in text box as if I had saved it as a draft)
Click to collapse
But the problems were only on the sending side. All messages sent to the group would show up in a group thread prorperly.
Go SMS
So I decided to try out Go Sms. And with it sending works flawless for me but... threading not at all. Every message that is supposed to be in the thread would show up in each indivudual sender's thread...
So I had an epiphany. I could have handcent do the downloading and threading... and have Go Sms do the sending. Which worked like a charm for about a day...
The Event or the reason you are reading this long post
Then the phone crashed... and after a restart things looked fine but then it happened.
I have two 2 different groups threads going one with 6 people in and one with 8.
They all had stuff they wanted to talk about today. Here was the ultimate test for the system right? Failed miserably.
Right now I've got about 8 threads with varying texts that should only be in 2 threads.
I was furious. Its crazy annoying when a conversation is going on and you can't figure out the context properly with that many people. Luckily I had the old threads that had worked to respond in but the new messages were all over the place.
I think uninstalling and then reisntalling first Handcent then Go SMS got it back working again but if I have to do that alot it will get annoying because these groups aren't going anywhere.
And this whole mess is a band aid. Not a solution.
Research time.
I need to know why this isn't working.
I mean long press one of those messages. Long story short it is an mms with extra numbers in the to: field.
Or even simpler all an MMS is a text file with some xml tags tossed in there for metadata. Your carrier sends you an sms with a link in it for where to download the text file from.
This cannot be that hard to fix and if it is I want to know why.
Google (search) time.
I searched for the Google Code thread I had seen a while back first. http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=24468
843 stars. Many comments by people just as baffled as me this isn't done already.
I even have a post there asking about where the code is so I could try to poke around.
Then I remembered I had just had a good conversation with one of the chrome developer tools devs on Google Groups so I decided to look there too
More info: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/android-contrib/Oh254kDdCas
Apparently a guy tweeted the person who is the lead Google Employee over AOSP and he told him to post there. Then the thread got closed because they had no soultion...
BUT wait! There is hope!
Shortly after that, a guy started working on a solution. Check his stuff out here.
http://forums.androidcentral.com/ve...07431-group-text-messaging-jb-achieved-2.html
And this person is freaking amazing because he has gotten this far with little prior knowledge of the project, java, android, git or gerrit to begin with.
Here is also the github where he is working on his stuff https://github.com/vivekvasani
And the trails ends there.
His last commit was about 2 weeks ago and he was asked to contribute it to master a 3 days ago
I'm posting all this to say if there is anyone out there listening who cares and can help this guy get this done please do.
Its ludicrous that we don't have this completely solved yet.
Thanks for you time,
Will
Same problem here. A good portion of my friends are iPhone users, and they love to group text. I'll have to keep my eye on this one. Thanks for doing the research!

You're welcome. Thanks for appreciating it.
And I've got it pretty stably working now.
Here's my setup:
1) Install Handcent first.
2) Make it default sms provider.
3) Turn on threading (it does this really well)
4) Install Go Sms
5) Set it's (Go Sms) option to send group mms in the send settings (its sending works well)
6) disable notifications in handcent if you don't want double notifications
7) MAKE SURE to disable popups in both programs
- I think this is what was causing the fc's and the crashing. They both try to access the sender's thread and download the mms to get the text but have to fight over access.
Just as a side note the MMS app on recent Motorola phones does group messaging perfectly. On my RAZR MAXX both the GB and now the ICS version is great. My iPhone friends use it all the time and it does it perfectly. No issues with lost messages or miss-threaded messages. Same for my friend using an Atrix 2 (on AT&T)
Perhaps someone can rip the APK for other people to use?
Also Verizon wireless in the US offers a SMS/MMS app for free on Google Play that also does group messages. I used to use this on my older phone which didn't naively support it.... sadly it won't install on non Verizon phones but perhaps someone can port that? I'm quite sure this is nothing but an artificial limitation.

:/ I'd really rather use the default android messaging app. I'd just like it to be able to do group texts. I'd love it if this enhancement ended up in CM10 or something. Did I misunderstand your original post? I thought you were saying that someone was working on a modified version of the default messaging app that would be able to handle group texts.
And adrianblack, you're saying that the default messaging app handles SMS/MMS group texts? That sounds pretty much exactly like what I'm looking for. Only issue is that I think a lot of the apps on the stock roms (i.e. non AOSP) are pretty tied in to those particular roms. Which is why they can't just port the camera or contacts from sense and put it on the Galaxy Nexus. Without the rom behind it, the apps won't run. Hopefully the messaging app on the RAZR MAXX isn't like that. Or, at the very least, it'll give someone something to reverse engineer in order to get the AOSP messaging app working with group texts.
Nope no misunderstanding.
Its just not done yet.
You can check out those threads I linked to.
The guy got it working but it hasn't been merged in anywhere.
Which means nobody in any of the release teams has tested it which means it will probably be a while before you could just download or flash it.
I was just sharing my, admittedly kludgy, way of having it work now

I hope it gets merged with CM soon. Both Go SMS and Handcent suck.
just recently found out about handcent working with group MMS, cannot wait to have this in CM10!
From the androidcentral thread linked in op, there are at least two CM10 nightly based ROMs with Vivek Vasani's (playa1257) changes included:
One from invisiblek and the other by euroskank
I've seen some threads thath this has been added to the AOSP JB 4.2 messaging app (sorry for no links. I'm a new user).
Can anyone confirm?
Has this issue been fixed yet? I do a lot of group texts with several different people (for my job mainly) and have been using GO SMS on an EVO3D for some time now. It doesn't work terribly (still slow though) when it is only 1 or 2 messages at a time (as long as I am in a good service area or else it doesn't work for ****) but when the messages come flying in (or god forbid I have more than 1 text chain going at once) the phone lags so badly that it is unusable. I can't see the messages and can't even get a message out because the phone is so busy processing the incoming messages. It freezes the phone until the activity settles down.
Is this a problem on ALL Android phones or is it because I have an older EVO3D? I am going to be purchasing a new phone in the near future and if group texting isn't even working on the flagship phones I am afraid I am going to have to jump ship to the iphone. Can anyone provide an update as to the status of group text on Android flagship phones?
Hey everyone,
As some of you may know, the Honor 8 (and other Huawei devices as well) have an issue with SMS syncing apps such as Pushbullet and MightyText.
After spending hours playing with various settings and testing like crazy, I have come to the following conclusion: There is something running in the background on this device preventing the messages from syncing back to the phone.
When sending a message from Pushbullet from my PC, it is delivered just fine to the recipient, however it shows stuck in pending status, and doesn't show in Textra, stock messaging app, Google Messenger or any other SMS app I've tested, even though it was delivered to the other recipient just fine.
Here's where it gets interesting...I installed Yappy on my PC, along with on the Honor 8, and installed both EvolveSMS and QKSMS. There are settings in both Evolve and QKSMS to enable Yappy integration. When turning this on, Yappy works perfectly. Messages sync properly, everything works great. My guess is that the messages are being routed through Yappy's servers and then synced back into the SMS apps. This is a half baked solution that myself, and I'm sure many others will not feel satisfied with, but it is a working temporary bandage.
The question is - what is causing Huawei devices to be preventing the messages from syncing? Adding it as a protected app doesn't help, and from what I have gathered from my testing, there is no setting that has helped it work. I think there's a possibility of the Huawei messaging process running in the background blocking the sync from happening, which brings up the question, how do we disable that process entirely and remove it?
If anyone has any ideas or further input, please share. Let's work together and axe this issue once and for all. There has to be lots of other Huawei users out there having the same issues!

I am not sure but some thread mentioned that MySms app works fine while others don't. Mean sync is not an issue for that if it is set as default app.
May be that can help someone in troubleshooting the exact problem.

This seems to be an issue with all Huawei devices from what I gather. Something within EMUI or their default messaging app seems to be causing the issue. It's definitely a dark cloud hanging over otherwise wonderful devices. Also, MySMS seems to be hit or miss as well. It's definitely a far cry from Pushbullet even if it does work.
Mods: Is there any way we could have this thread moved to a larger Huawei section for better visibility?
I have the same issue with EMUI 4.1 on the Honor Note 8. It seems to be related to EMUI shutting down background apps so the comms between the SMS app and the phone is not completed.
Will it work with a different launcher? or do a have to get a different rom?

A different ROM is the best choice (not available for honor 8) and a launcher wouldn't change anything

Just exchanged an S7 Edge for the Honor 8 yesterday. You're right about MySMS being hit or miss. I had it working the 1st time when I installed it and couldn't replicate it to work again after trying out AirDroid last night. lol I spent a good part of my morning trying to get it to work again and stumbled onto something. So far, it works great if I set MySMS as the default "Messaging" app on my Honor 8 and use it for my SMS/MMS needs. You still need to use the stock messaging app if you want to blacklist folks, though, but only for adding the entries and viewing any blocked messages.
Is there any solution for the original problem?
I'm using MS Cortana for the same purposes and actually I did not recognise this issue untill I read this post and found out I have this problem as wel.

Does the same problem occur if you were to use different SMS app.
Another option could be to try something else, yappy perhaps?

If I remember correctly, there were at least two or three apps mentioned which were experiencing synchronization problems. Not sure whether yappy was one of them or not.
Ya. I use JIO messenger (JIO Voice) as default app in India. I also do have sync problems in my Honor 5X.
Couldn't find anything in XDA Rules about thread necromancy so I figured I'd reply here instead of making another thread. Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Hopefully one that does not involve upgrading to Nougat... Since I'm here, I'll throw up more info:
Sending a picture or a text to multiple people does work fine, the texts will show up. Looks like whatever is going on affects only SMS and not MMS.
I am able to send texts fine from my car's (2014 Honda Accord) bluetooth headset, they show.
Tasker also does not work.
Apparently not. P9 here. Just done a reset assuming it was something I'd installed. Pushbullet and Mightytext both still not working.
EVA-L09C432B378 (EMUI 5.0/Android 7.0)
I just got a P9 and have the same problems as everyone else. I have used mighty text for years without a glitch and now it's not sending my messages written on my computer back to the phone. What a drag. I just got the phone so I will send it back for an exchange. I does prevent other services like pushbullet as well. So bye Huawei.
aaa
Honor 8 here. MySMS works pretty well, only that the Win10 app sucks. Pushbullet and Airdroid don't work. The difference is that MySMS becomes the default messaging app and the others don't. That's all I can contrubute. This sucks. Lost half day today so far, especially with my very limited android knowledge...
Replaced my P9 with Moto. Everything functions as intended. Glad to get rid of the P9. Too many apps won't work.

First let me say this is a very fine piece of Hardware and I have been researching it these last few days and got nowhere, yes I see the demo's and reviews and it's all great but...………………………… and it is a big but
and please correct me if I am wrong and take it as a question more than a statement
- I cannot get access to view the available apps unless I have a Samsung phone - which I don't
- I have done numerous searches to find what I want and come up with near enough nothing
Currently I have a Smartwatch with a single watchface that is giving me all this when I look at it
Time Day and date at my location
Time at another location
Watch Batt Status
Phone Batt Status
Weather today temp hi/lo with pic
Currency conversion of my choosing (set on phone) realtime
It shows me all messages from all my messaging apps on my phone with the text, sms, line, FBmessenger WhatsApp etc.
Incoming calls with contact details or number etc
I can set my phone on the other side of the room and fully control my music player (poweramp) with album art etc, my music is stored as mp3 on the phone so is there even a music player app for the Gear S3 that can access the music on my phone and play it controlling the phone and playing from the phone ?
I really would like to buy this watch but can it do all that, can it even do all that with separate apps if want to scroll through to get there for stuff like currency and media control (Sony Phone)
can someone please confirm
Yes I get that I am not going to get a watch face that will show me what my current one does but is it even possible using apps widgets downloaded to the phone and/or watch to at least give me the functionality I have now
And I stress I am not being critical of the Gear S3 because I really like it and I want one provided it can tick all the boxes
Probably with a Wear OS watch

yes I agree, I've been doing a lot of reading up these last few days and the Samsung Gear S3 is the best watch on the market but it fails miserably because they opted to break from Android OS (Wear), I think they were trying to become Brand Specific like Apple but that is never going to work on Android - very foolish
I have narrowed my choices down to 3, Ticwatch Pro, LG and Fossil, Ticwatch is slightly in the lead, but I have decided that it must be Android OS, just a pity Samsung S3 went a different direction, I am not going to buy a watch that only functions for 50% of what I want no matter how good the Hardware is, to me it is a fail and wouldn't take it at half the price

I think the Gear S3 is the best watch at this time.
Wear watch are really horrible. Very bad battery life (sometime not last the day), a lot of bug and hang, often the watch take long seconds to respond (when it works, often not works but do not know why ???) ..... apps are very rare do not mistake I have G-Watch, R-Watch, LG-Sport, Sony SW3, Asus ZW2, Ticwatch E) all are almost unusables. You must install app (and often faces) with the phone AND AFTER use the watch (with tiny screen) to go on Playstore WITH the watch (when it works).
With Tizen you have the "Watchmaker" app (same as Wear OS) and you can have advanced watch face. On Tizen I have note app, Google Task app, evernote app..... nothing for Wear and almost none of this kind

I think the Gear S3 is the best watch at this time.

why not address my first post and tell me exactly (from my requirements) what the S3 can and cannot do
lets start with a live exchange rate widget or even stock quotes, I am still using a Sony Sw2 and it does everything I want it too, I actually just bought an LG Watch Urbane 2 nd Edition LTE Unlocked for 100GBP brand new, very cheap IMO
also if I buy and Samsung Gear S3 I lose 50% of the functionality because I don't have a Samsung phone and never will have
And what we lost with a no Samsung phone ? The only thing is, maybe, the Samsung Email app wich works with Samsung watch. But even with a Samsung phone I use Aquamail and not the Samsung mail. All others things works same with samsung and other phone since the S2 serie.

I believe you are wrong about that
Remember I don't have one and was unable to look at apps because I don't have Samsung phone.....but here is what I have read
- messaging doesn't work properly
- music player (control) extremely limited
- email
- calling functionality
- limited apps but I honestly don't know this for sure because I can't access the app store to look, what I do know is that AW is 100% supported with apps for absolutely everything I would ever need
like I mentioned - stuff like currency/stock tracking doesn't exist, XE is AW enabled but doesn't exist on S3
I use Poweramp as my music player on my phone and can completely control it from my ancient Sony SW2 - go figure, this is extremely useful if I am out and want to hook my phone up to an external sound system - my phone sits meters away and I can control everything from SW from my seat, does Samsung S3 support Poweramp ?? well I don't know because I cannot access the secret Samsung app store without a Samsung Phone or SW - maybe they are hiding it
The list my friend is endless, like I said in my OP - the Gear S3 is IMO the best hardware out there but is unusable on a none Samsung setup and even if you have Samsung phone it is still limited because of lack of app support
IMO Samsung made an error not adopting Android Wear and would have dominated the market it they had
Like said, since Gear S2 Samsung apps works on all Android phone with 1.5Go RAM. Works also on IOS but limited for app wich have an android compagnon app. Messaging is like all others apps and works same way on Wear OS or Tizen OS.
Email ? wear has not really an email app, works just with notification system like Tizen OS. Same for all

I have a OnePlus 6 and a S9+, currently my Gear S3 is paired with my OnePlus.
I get my messages through Google voice and Facebook messenger, both work well. The random text messages work too. With all of these I get notifications but don't have the history, which is fine IMO, I can see and reply to messages, but I don't need to start a conversation from my watch in my usage.
I can play/pause/fast forward/rewind/adjust volume. It works for what is playing already, so I can't start my podcast unless it is 'ready' in the Android system (ie, if I press the play button on my headphones and it would play the podcast/music).
Email, I get notifications for Gmail, can't start a conversation on the watch though.
I can call and recieve calls.
The apps appear to be the same.
I tried the TicWatch pro, it was good, but the health features were crap compared to the S3, plus no MST and slightly worse battery life made me go back to the S3.
Edit: I'm not sure about the watch face thing..... Maybe later this week I can set up the watch designer from Samsung and see if some/all can be added to a watch face.

like I said - 50 functionality, I want something that will work and is fully supported not something that is going to be hit and miss, but it is by far the best in terms of HW.
Over that last few days I have come across many people saying the same thing "I wish it was Android OS" even on this forum where one of the longest threads is about exactly that - porting AW

I've had WearOS, the only thing that was better (and not by much) was side loading Facebook messenger lite. Otherwise, IMO, Tizen and WearOS are very close in functionality, with WearOS winning in apps and Tizen in hardware. WearOS had more apps, but most aren't very useful, and I can program watchface in Tizen easier then WearOS. Tizen had more built in (probably do to the lack of third party apps) so things like sleep tracking works better.
Honestly, but a watch from somewhere with a good return policy and try it out, it's the only way you'll know if it works for you. I'd do this with both watches and see which works better in your specific use case.
I'm honestly not trying to persuade you one way or the other, just having used both OS's recently I want to give an accurate description as to their strengths and weaknesses.

Thanks for the reply and I do understand, I'm in buying mode and have been reading and looking for hours upon hours just absorbing info on all the options, I started this thread for that exact purpose and it is turning out the way I wanted - input from experienced people that is helping me get through the clutter, I have order a watch that I managed to get at a reasonable price 100 sterling for an LG Urbane 2nd addition so no huge investment, the LG sport is a better watch but 2-3 times the price, so I will get it in a couple of days and see how I go with that, unfortunately I won't have my new phone until Sept (Xperia XZ2 Premium) so I will have to manage with my dated Xperia Z1 but it should give me an idea of what I'm dealing with
again thx for taking an interest in my thread you have been very helpful
had my first day with the LG and wow absolutely superb, helped along with the App watchfaces which is also superb
funny I set the watch up and charged it and went out, I actually thought there was something wrong when it showed 100% battery for 2 hours and then started to very slowly drop, I am now 8hrs in and still have 67% battery which I think is impressive, and I had an always on face with lots of widgets, very impressed
First off, I love this phone and reason why I got the Q China version was because it had the 6GB RAM which the 5 pro does not have with a price gap difference. 90% of this phone is perfect, the other 10% I can live with and hopefully they will make these changes in future updates. For you all looking at this Q model in North America, might want consider this before you get the Q version.
1. Using 3rd party messaging apps, this is basic stuff, why would any company lock you from using another sms app other then the stock one, this is only on the Q models I believe. It's like I'm back using and Iphone again lol. If you go the default settings, it will not list any other installed messaging app. I've been using ChompSMS for years and I love it, not I'm stuck using Q's messaging app, which is not bad but no where close to Chomp. Also, if I'm forced to use their messaging app, at the very least make it more customizable, ie. separate contact tones, pop up quick reply window etc. In ColorOS 6, it use to not even allow me to use another launcher but that got changed/fixed in UI 1.0, thank God, now you can use Nova Prime or your own launcher.
2. PC SMS, I work from home and use my PC to text constantly either with PushBullet or MightyText, with this Messaging app constriction, every time use these PC apps, it asks for a TXT message verification on my phone either face id or fingerprint, kind of defeats the purpose of texting on your PC. I wish there was away around this or a setting, I've looked everywhere in the phone settings and set every damn permission, nope.
3. Startup Manager... great idea to reduce battery use, but only limit to 5? come on. At least give us the option to set how many start up limits we want and just give us a warning that the more we use the more power it drains. Again, back to the Iphone days lol.
Other then these, I'm keeping my phone for all the pros, it's fast, screen looks good, these things are just really annoyances that I hope Oppo/RealMe or whoever will fix in the next OS update. I've seen some post of using custom rom on this Q model but also seeing a lot of glitches, I don't think it's worth having this issues for these minor annoyances. I've been using custom roms on other phones and tablets for years now, some with great luck and some I almost end up throwing the device through my window due to custom rom glitches lol.
If anyone finds a solution(s) for these annoyances other then using custom ROMS, please let me know I'll buy you a coffee and donuts lol.
Sorry, i can't read all of this!!!!
