I was looking on system mode because normal method on this phone doesn't allow to install supersu in /system and this blocks some functions such as installing apps as system apps.
I did some research but all what I found is this http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/v2-64-2-66-supersu-mode-t3286120 that bricks my phone.
Is there a method to install supersu in system?
Sorry for my bad english if I made some mistakes. Thank you in advance. :good:

Would be a great idea if the phone works after a kernel flash!
I solved flashing Another rom with 5.1.1 where supersu is already in system.

When I made this post I was using stock, probably I did something wrong and my phone bricked. Later I tried a custom rom and I noticed that su works in system.

What version of CWM recovery is in this? Maybe raver or someone who's flashed this can tell me.
Sent from my SGH-T959V
It uses TWRP as the thread title states.
Nice work Raver!
For those not familiar with the Aroma installer, there are some good options in the "Advanced" screen. For example, I don't know if Audiophile ICS preserves /data by default when flashing. Aroma lets you back it up during the install process.
If you have a modem that you prefer to the KJ6 modem that is bundled with this ROM, you may want to use the Advanced settings to disable the modem flash.
Additionally, TWRP will let you stack zips, so you can, for example, flash in one pass:
ROM
gapps
Your own modifications in a zip
Kudos to Raver for not packaging gapps and obeying the licensing requirements imposed by Google.

you can just install if you want to keep anything do the custom install and then click backup data/restore data so it keeps your files in tact ... it will auto format system data cache for you
you will need to download a gapps package do to the fact i cannot include it in the rom itself i dont have a link for one but i think there is one floating around here.
ok i went to install the rom and my phone just resets
check md5 of your download if it matches try a reflash.

Definitely a fun ROM!
I just noticed that Droid48 doesn't scale well to the "mini-tablet" format, but that is likely an app problem, not a ROM problem. Still totally usable, just funny to see the little calculator buttons and labels.
SuperUser didn't update properly for me through Play -- I'll see if I can reproduce later on.
Hello friends, I am newbie in android something I wanted to install CWM 6.0.4.5 of this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2560928 and everything goes perfectly, but when squeezed keys + volume, power and home the ANDROID SYSTEM RECOVERY 3E shows me instead of CWM 6.0.4.5 and enter CWM have to do to step 4 with odin and remove the battery etc. .. and I can get! but only this time, after I turn it and attempt to re-enter but it appears the android system recovery 3e. Please help, I do not want this whole process to remove the battery to get. Thank you!
hi @matutecarp99
you have to flash this file called cwm-permanentor.zip with CWM to prevent the Stock ROM to flash it's own recovery over CWM
Warning : flashing cwm-permanentor.zip makes your device status custom.
you can find cwm-permanentor.zip here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2303395
find it in section B)Rooting it's one of those 2 links.
there is other solutions for this, mentioned in tutorial in your link, but this method i said worked for me.

It's because the firmware overwrite cwm with stock recovery, you must root it or directly flash custom ROM. Or use the trick from the first replier.

you can see back up and restore in CWM.
actually backup is not necessary i suggested it because it's good to have a back up of stock rom, so whenever anything goes wrong you can restore your phone as it was.

What do you mean by 'upgrading to a higher version'??
the latest version for jb is v7 and all those after that are for kitkat only.
Also you can flash a kitkat kernel and flash a kitkat rom WITHOUT installing JB first. It means that you can install r15 along with any kitkat rom without going through the installation of v7.
Hope this helps.

Installing modules flashing the kernel zip using recovery.
Follow these steps
Extract boot.img from the zip file.
Flash it using fastboot (I assume you know how to flash). After that your kernel will be installed. Then power on the phone and let it boot completely. Then copy the kernel zip that you downloaded and from which to you extracted boot.img to your internal storage.
Reboot your device and enter recovery. Flash the kernel zip (This step is called installing modules)
Done. Restart
Hope it helps

Hi, I'm sorry for the bad language because I'm not english and I'm sorry if I wrong section. I've tried to install a custom recovery on my Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo (GT-I9060). I've tried to go in custom recovery mode by some apps (ROM manager, TWRP manager..) but the app crashes. Any help, please?

Once you installed the recovery you have to enter it right away before booting for the first time or the stock recovery will overwrite it which is why your getting the stock recovery .

First of all see if a normal reboot fixes this.
If not.
In phone settings ->about phone
See if you have
1)baseband
2)imei
(Don't list them here just check if you have them)
Most probably this could be a problem with the ROM and can be fixed by flashing baseband.zip that you'll get from the same site you got the ROM.

Well try another ROM ,its the one way to fix this.
Another would be to flash your imei ,you can find it in your phones case ,the tool would be sn write tool if your phone has mediatek (don't know/not familiar with other chipset family)
Plus the ROM you gave the link for is buggy and not in development.so you should try another ROM or if there isn't one use stock.
