[Q] Root Zenfone 5 / Xposed on Zenfone 5

Hi,
I just bought the Zenfone 5 from Asus (bought in India). The model number is ASUS_T00J.
I need help/directions on rooting. The only reason I am rooting my phone is to be able to run the Xposed modules..So if theres a way to do that without rooting, that would be perfect.

Yes, this root method works. But make sure you have disabled your wifi/data connections before rooting.

How i can root my FRD-L19 without using unofficial way?

I have searched a lot different forums here and couple others also but I cant find official way to root my FRD-L19 because this don't work http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-tested-root-t3443946
So i wonder does some know how to do that official way?

What steps have you done already? Because that is the only safest way.

I can't even do first step because huawei page says: sorry no support for the European user log in. I cant find same page that supports eu users.
So actually first step is problem and i think only problem.

Use the chinese site then use Google Translated so you can understand it.

Okay one last question when i go check i have 2 number codes on my imei other is above other and only difference is last 5 number so which one do i need to choose?

okay now my honor goes into fastboot mode but it doesn reconize usb when phone is on fastboot mode. Do you know any solutions to this?

Have you enabled USB debugging and installed ADB/Fastboot drivers?

yes i have adb and fastboot oem unlock enabled and usb debuggin is also enabled

You checked the pop up that pops when ADB is recognized right? That pop up to allow the PC to always allow ADB connections.

i have written only to command ''adb devices'' and it finds my device without problem. i started command directry from adb and fastboot folder

when i try that it doesn't fastboot but when i write adb reboot bootloader then it does. is this why it don't work and how can fix anyidea?

This is very strange. If ADB worked then it should work all the way.

thats what i also thought but when its on fastboot it just says please connect usb cable to your computer and open hisuite
and green text says phone locked and red frp unlock

i have only one and this is pretty new and work perfectly atm but only fastboot no.

Try reinstalling the drivers amd rebooting your PC. Sorry man if that doesn't work, I don't know anymore.

its ok because i don't know also but to be sure about driver where i can download for sure fight drivers for my phone and i mean i try also download them online.

That is for compression purposes, you have to extract the zipfile.

Thanks for replying, I actually did unzip this before leaving my comment, it looks like a custom Rom on my end complete with super su and everything also no .tar or .md5 in the archive, no worries I found a different link and already updated the phone. Just wanted to give a heads up to the OP

There are guides to rooting the note 5 in this forum.. just have to look for them.

THERE IS a guide on rooting dpk6 however its deeply engranded and convoluted cause everyone did root ages ago before these updates....before we all jumped back on our note5....after note7 lmao

I've tried a couple of mirrors and the .zip fails the integrity test? Is anybody else having the same problem?
Edit: It's fine, IZarc reports a problem but WinRAR doesn't.

No.
No.
Samsung and Android Pay require a level of security that is broken when you root your device.
The ONLY way to get them to work is to unroot your phone and go to the stock “out of the box” version. Meaning, no root.

How can i root on this Version?

The same way you root the other ROMs.
Odin the ROM, then Odin TWRP, then flag superuser in recovery.
If you aren't familiar with rooting Android them PLEASE read up on it first. There are plenty of theads on here on the subject. If you're not familiar with that you are more likely to do damage to your phone, like bricking it.

I have been looking for a Root process for the Samsung s7 version 7.0 (US) heroqltetmo. I am trying to Root so a Physical extraction can be completed with Cellebrite UFED. All other Root processes fail during the root (odin). Please can someone direct me to a successful Root process for this phone and version etc.

Safe rooting tool?

I was wondering if kingroot was safe, because it looks pretty sketchy to me. Also is Amazon Fire 5th Gen SuperTool a safe tool to use when rooting?
