Hi,
I just bought the Zenfone 5 from Asus (bought in India). The model number is ASUS_T00J.
I need help/directions on rooting. The only reason I am rooting my phone is to be able to run the Xposed modules..So if theres a way to do that without rooting, that would be perfect.
Thanks!
~Nick

Yes, this root method works. But make sure you have disabled your wifi/data connections before rooting.

Hello,
I flashed several rooted Custom-Roms, but my Nexus 5 remains unrooted.
Is there any beginner's mistake from my side?
Thanks
Sometimes you need to enable root in developer options.

Flash this zip http://download.chainfire.eu/351/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.65.zip with a custom recovery and install the superSU app from the Play Store bro. Do you have usb debugging enabled in developer options?

Tap on your build # under settings to enable developer settings.
Also make sure SU files are up to date.

I now flashed a different ROM and it works flawlessly, thank you anyway
Today I decided to go back to stock. And so I did and the i rooted.
But i inatalled GMusicFS and it says i don't have root, even having SuperSU and other APPs say I have. Can anybody help me with that?
Personally I think it's an issue with the app. It does not appear it's been updated for marshmallow.

Hi,
I tried to root my phone and I succeded :
- Bootloader unlocked
- TWRP OK
- ROOT OK
But when I tried to install AMR64 ZIP GAPPS with TWRP, my phone doesn't boot no more...
I tried to install stock rom on DLOAD with all STOCK ROM :
MHA-L29C432B126 -
MHA-L29C900B125
MHA-L29C185B126
MHA-L29C636B136
MHA-L29C10B136
With VOLUME -and+ at boot, but INSTALL FAILED always...
I tried also to use eRecovery but I'm connect on wifi and that's don't work -> BLOCKED on step "GETTING INFORMATION PACKAGE"
I tried to flash stock recovery but it's the same...
when I reboot on recovery, even the wipe factory reset do 1 2 3 4 ----- 28 % and stop !
My Bootloader is unlocked, it's for that ?
Do you have IDEA to restore STOCK ROM or CUSTOM ROM WITH TWRP ?
MY PHONE IS DEAD :crying::crying::crying::crying:
Try FunkyHuawei. DLOAD on the Mate 9 only works with specific 'offline' images, I believe only a single one leaked so far. This device is virtually unbrickable with FunkyHuawei.

You'll have to reach Duraaraa. He's probably sleeping at the moment. You know... time zones. PM him and he'll get back to you tomorrow.

Are you using the phone on AT&T? If not it's not possible due to it being locked down. If you are on AT&T you may not have a correct data plan

Sorry but that's to be expected with US carrier models in general. But In my experience I've used PDANet without issue.

I got ATT LG G4 unlocked non-rooted with android 6.0 H8101020n on it.
Ended up with rooted Android 5.1 H81010o with working tethering.
Steps:
1) downgrade to H8101010o using this method:

2) root using this method

You just gave dangerous instructions, remember The OP is running MM 6.0, if they're running the latest version they cannot downgrade and attempting can fully brick there device.

There is a methode that i have recently found working for all AT&T mobiles :
1) Download "Settings Database Editor" in appstore
2)Open that app and find scroll until you find a setting named "tether_entitlement_check_state", click on it
3)Click on "edit value"
4)You will find a number down to "edit setting" (5 or 4 usully), remplace them by -1
5)Click on "save changes" and enjoy
I was wondering if kingroot was safe, because it looks pretty sketchy to me. Also is Amazon Fire 5th Gen SuperTool a safe tool to use when rooting?
I am going to root a "LG L22C Power"
Thanks!
-Matthew
